Jun 17, 2012I'm on the o2 uk network, and have a BB Curve 9630 (I think lol, can't check as I'm using it to write this) my problem is my phone is letting me acess the net, send receive emails and use bbm, but can't send or receive texts or calls. I contacted o2 who said there's no prob with network and sim works in a different phone ok. I'm a pay as you go customer. I was looking for the same thing, to change imei to another BB curve I have that won't go on, but don't think that's gna happen. Jan 8, 2011During hard wire sync to desktop Outlook, I'm now receiving Intellisync error code 0x83860028 (never happened before now), and it aborts the synchronization. Can't find reference to this code anywhere, and don't know what's causing it (it stops after reviewing all Outlook contact records). The error occurs on two separate BB's with different contact lists.

Mar 4, 2012I have a 9630 Tour that I am trying to unlock from Sprint, to use with AT&T. I have followed directions exactly- even spending hours researching my issue, and it seems to be fairly common, but I have yet to see an effective solution- Here goes:
When I type in MEPD, I get the next screen, as I should be getting. However, my display reads:
SIM Disabled
Network Disabled
Net Subset Disabled
Sev Provider Disabled
Corporate Disabled
I have seen several posts where Network reads Inactive instead of disabled, and am not sure if this is my problem or not, but when I type MEP2 on this screen, the window that should come up for my unlock code does NOT come up. I have read in several places to try MEPP2, or MEPE. Neither of these codes work.

Unfortunately, it is locked to the O2 network and I need it on the orange network.Learning via google, I have rooted the phone, and tried the 'Galaxy S2 sim unlock' application to find the unlock code but it came back with the following message 'cannot find unlock code' Just wondering is there something I have done wrong? Also have an annoying yellow triangle with an exclamation mark that comes up every time the phone is rebooted.

Now when I dial a number from my contact list (even one in my own city and area code), my BB puts a +1 (country code for the usa) in front of the number.As I don't recall seeing this before, is this something new? Jan 17, 2010Well I have had my blackberry tour for almost a week and i put the OS5.0 .419 tonight. so far so good, but i have my regular message folder, but there is no email folder and i went and setup my email ont he phone but there is no foler that i can find to actually read them in. its not evn getting any of my email cuz i sent one to the registered address. its not abig deal as it did drive me nuts getting all my emails on it, when i only check email when im away from home on my phone. i can always log on line to do it thru the phone, its just buggin me. i had the htc touch pro before this, and the blackberry so far is a love hate thing.

BB Tour 9630 :: Upgraded To .419 : Unable To Find Backup Data
Jan 18, 2010I just upgraded to 5.0.0.419 on the Tour. I had to use the AppLoader because the desktop manager wouldnt work. I have done this many times with my storm and everything seemed to go well. I turned on my phone and it started like usual but all my information is gone. My contacts, messages, applications, everything. It did not back up any of the stuff before upgrading, but when i went to put an old back up on my device it asked if I wanted to override all the stuff that's already on it (1100 text messages, 100 contacts, 500 emails, etc.)So it seems like the stuff is on my phone, but i cannot find it.

Aug 25, 2010I have recently purchased a blackberry bold 9000 secondhand. It is originally a telstra device (it's covered in Telstra logos and on start up it has the telstra splash screen). I purchased it from a man in New Zealand, who himself purchased it from the person who had it on your network, so finding any information about the original owner is nigh impossible.
I just want to know if the unique blackberry PIN is still connected to your company. I have the PIN and IMEI numbers registered to me with the my current carrier (telecom new zealand), also as a precaution I have upgraded the OS to my carrier branded version 5.0.0.592 (bundle 1004,platform 5.2.0.57), (this is the latest version my carrier supports).
Interesting things to note is that when connected to a wireless (wi-fi) connection with internet access, many of the applications can also access the internet. I am not connecting to any enterprise server, the VPN settings are disabled, the APN settings are set to direct.telecom.co.nz with blanks for both the username and password. I have tried deleting and resending the service books many times (each time followed by a"hard-reset"). I have tried wiping the device several times. The dataservices option in the mobile network options menu is turned on, is reading as the correct carrier, and is tuned to the right network mode (3G & 2G).
The browser option, under advanced options, which in turn is within the options menu, has only one setting, "Default browser configuration:" which is showing a blank space, and does not give the option to change it.The exact error says that
"Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries.Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device.

I have barred the line but I feel that there could be some way to find out where it is. I can't use the BB Protect either as I was not aware of it and when I log into the site now, none of the buttons can be used.
