I'm on the o2 uk network, and have a BB Curve 9630 (I think lol, can't check as I'm using it to write this) my problem is my phone is letting me acess the net, send receive emails and use bbm, but can't send or receive texts or calls. I contacted o2 who said there's no prob with network and sim works in a different phone ok. I'm a pay as you go customer. I was looking for the same thing, to change imei to another BB curve I have that won't go on, but don't think that's gna happen. Ii checked status of unlocks/locks everything says disabled except network, that's saying inactive
I had to get a new bb becuase my old one messed up. With my previous plan I did not need the AT&T bb datapackage... I don't need one now. However, with the new phone, AT&T automatically added the BB dataplan. I cant get rid of it, and i dont want to get rid of the phone.
Heres what I did: I put my sim in another non-BB phone, call AT&T and deleted my dataplan. It worked. I then put my sim back into my BB, and a few mins later got a txt msg saying AT&T has added the BB data onto my phone. aaahhh! So, how do I change the IMEI number to my old non-BB phone, so that AT&T can't tell i'm using my BB?
I bought a unlocked sprint phone to work on my network (rogers) works fine, but when i go dial it shows the older persons number. I know i can turn this off to not show it but i want to change it. It can't be changed through general options. Im guessing its stored in the device with the last owners SPRINT CDMA settings. On a verizon i can do ##000000 but it doesn't work on sprint. Wipe security didn't erase it , Will JL_CMDER delete that??
Basically I want to be able to fully use my blackberry tour in Colombia, but again sprint would not unlock my phone. I heard I can get it unlocked with a code or get it flashed and release the pin. I really dont know what all that means lol so can someone guide me in the correct path to do all this? like what do I need to first, and when do i need to do it and by this I mean if I should do it before cancelling my services or after?
I recently purchased 9630 through ebay without Quickstart Guide and any options.But Unique code is printed on the back of the Quickstart Guide as attached website. PIN# was not function.
During hard wire sync to desktop Outlook, I'm now receiving Intellisync error code 0x83860028 (never happened before now), and it aborts the synchronization. Can't find reference to this code anywhere, and don't know what's causing it (it stops after reviewing all Outlook contact records). The error occurs on two separate BB's with different contact lists.
I have a 9630 Tour that I am trying to unlock from Sprint, to use with AT&T. I have followed directions exactly- even spending hours researching my issue, and it seems to be fairly common, but I have yet to see an effective solution- Here goes:
When I type in MEPD, I get the next screen, as I should be getting. However, my display reads: SIM Disabled Network Disabled Net Subset Disabled Sev Provider Disabled Corporate Disabled
I have seen several posts where Network reads Inactive instead of disabled, and am not sure if this is my problem or not, but when I type MEP2 on this screen, the window that should come up for my unlock code does NOT come up. I have read in several places to try MEPP2, or MEPE. Neither of these codes work.
As many of the rest of you have done, I mindlessly upgraded to OS 5.0, and am working on the new features. Here's something that puzzles me, though. Now when I dial a number from my contact list (even one in my own city and area code), my BB puts a +1 (country code for the usa) in front of the number.As I don't recall seeing this before, is this something new? Or do I have a setting wrong (which I'll discover on my bill in a few days).
I cant change my WiFi security code. It is supposed to be as WAP/WPA2 PSK. But in my phone it is showing as WPA PSK. Is it a problem with my phone or with the WiFi connection? Please help me out. I'm using sony ericsson Xperia Neo V, version 4.0.4.was using the same network for a long time. I just clicked the FORGET option once accidently and from that time I'm having this problem.
today my phone unlocked itself in my pocket, went on Internet for 80 usd. is there any way to change the drag down screen to a code or something. i mean when you press the power button and drag your finger down. i want a code or something to prevent the phone to "login".
I'd like to have a password certain times and not others. I hate having to put it in everytime but I want to set a password with my lock key so I choose when it's on and when it's off. Is their anyway to do this on a 9700. Thanks for the help
I have received a few phone calls within the past couple years where my called ID shows only "716" rather than the full number "716-xxx-xxxx". These calls were from mostly cell phones.
Is there away I can toggle this on... On my phone? Droid Turbo 1.
I don't need it all the time but it would be useful when making working calls when on the road so that they don't have my personal cell # and nobody ever answers " unknown" so *67 isnt the key.
I also am not really interested in spoofing my number with a fake one or creating a Google voice (or similar account) and then having two phone #'s to worry about.
i was an ***** to attempt to do a housing upgrade by myself. anyway, i followed a Internet video on how to change your housing and i bought the housing off ebay so i was waiting until this week to change it got frustrated (nobody in my area has an expertise in blackberry) yes i'm quite the berry newb. so as i followed this vid: Internet - how to swap blackberry tour 9630 housing change disassembly flash and speakerphone 1 of 3. i did everything the guy said and everything was perfect. the red light came on which was a good indicator to me, but when it all finally loaded it became all screwy. my tour always has that device password lock you have to sign in before you can enter the main screen, anyway the password wouldn't go through until 3 times (i had to do it slowly) i assumed it was from the stiffness of the new keyboard/pad that wasn't all, my trackball seems like it was desensitized! i've been looking all over for info and Internet vids, but the trackball will only scroll one application over to the bottom or one to the right that's it! or if i scroll it to the right repeatedly, it will scroll downwards slowly. it won't scroll up or any other direction. even if i try to scroll in one direction it'll just keep scrolling down?also the reception bars on the top right corner of the screen is either really low (which it shouldn't because i never had an issue with the reception or trackball with the original oem housing) and theres a diagonal arrow that keeps blinking (when blackberry is trying to see can find a good reception, or that's what i presume)and the device lock keeps locking by itself. my phone like blackouts for a little bit and goes back to the device lock by itself?! i have to keep putting my password in but again the problem is either i'll get the incorrect password for a certain amount of times or just the trackball won't work . i have to press it really harder for it to "enter" on device lock.
I want to change the phone number on bb tour 9630. I bought my phone from a friend in the US. The phone number is set as his number in the states. I can receive phone calls but I can't make any calls. When I used ##000000 I get an invalid password! I changed the sim number through options but the number on the call screen is still not my number.Its a verizon phone but I got it unlocked and I can receive calls use bbm,use the net.....everything except making call. I am in south africa using Vodacom as my carrier.Would a system wipe solve this problem? What would a system wipe do? If I do a system wipe would I have to re-install the OS? How would I re-install the OS? Would the phone be locked again if I do a system wipe?
I upgraded from a BB 8830 and I was able to change the icons (not the order) colorful icons. I have tried to do the same on the Tour, to no avail. The current icons are outlines of pictures the clock, the world, wrench, etc. The are the default stock icons and I can't find the colorful actual pictures of the icons. Also, I have not been able to download certain applications such as FB, GMAIL and the Weather Channel. I have tried every which way, but seem to be missing an important step. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
I can get all of my ringtones to change (phone, email, mms, etc) but I cannot get my SMS ringtone to change. I'll click the sound icon in the upper left hand corner, go to Set Ring Tones/Alerts>Messages>SMS Text and change the ringtone and then save it, but once I look in my phone book to verify it all of my ringtones are stuck on "Sanguine". The only way I can change my ringtone for my whole phone book is to go through and individually change the ringtone for each person.
A couple of months ago I had downloaded CrunchSMS, which I read on other threads may be the cause of the problem, but I deleted it shortly after downloading it. I have also taken out my battery and media card and done a full reboot.
When I sync my BB Tour with my computer, it changes the time on my appointments, which is quite a problem! I've check both my BB and my computer and BOTH are correctly set to Central Time. I have not traveled out of my time zone and have not changed any properties on either device.
