Mar 28, 2012I lost my iphone. Is there a way to block my IMEI, so that nobody else can use it? This is the second time I lost my iphone this month and I lost it among the same circle of people. I feel like making a stolen phone unused so that the thief won't take other people's phone anymore.

We do not have the IMEI number and other IDs of the device. We understand we need these numbers to block or cancel the device or report it to the police. I have reprinted the invoice but there is no such number on it. How can I get those numbers? And how can I block the device?

I contacted o2 who said there's no prob with network and sim works in a different phone ok. I'm a pay as you go customer. I was looking for the same thing, to change imei to another BB curve I have that won't go on, but don't think that's gna happen. Feb 12, 2010I have just bought a Storm 2 9550 that is from Verizon USA. The device is GSM unlocked, and I am using it from Hungary on a local carrier. I am in the middle of a carrier change that has Blackberry services, however I currently have 3G web access on my actual carrier. However, the integrated browser that came with the phone, does not allow me to use the 3g network, only WIFI service. I cannot even set it to 3G on the browser options tab, as it only offers "hotspot browser".
Is there any way I can find a http browser that supports the 3g network, so I could surf the web on this carrier until I complete the carrier change? Is there any on Blackberry App world? I didnt manage to find one.
Also, I would like to have a POP3 client on my device that can communicate through 3G with a pop3 mail server, as the integrated email messaging software that Blackberry device software 5 offers is only capable of having a mail account through a BB service provider.I am very staisfied with the device itself, great for managing calls, and multimedia - did not face any crashes at all (maybe once when I wnated to take a picture and it frozen when the flash lit up).
BB Bold :: Block Automatic Internet Download?
Oct 31, 2011I just came back from a week in Spain and found a very expensive mobile phone bill. My Blackberry Bold had been automatically connecting to internet and downloading my email by phone in roaming mode. I had expected email was only active in a free wireless area but it seems this was not true, it also used phone calls to download mail.
How can I block that without doing something as brutal as removing the SIM card? Other kinds of phones have settings to do that but I haven't found these settings in Blackberry Bold.

After following all the help available on the Blackberry site to no avail, the cause of the above error codes was a web site down problem. It turns out that when you try to download the blooover.jar or the blooover.jad files to your phone you get the error message 907 invalid jar or jad file not found due to the [URL].. web site being down. Any other .jar or .jad file that I tried was not a problem.

Aug 15, 2010Does anyone know how to make the Send key on the BB Storm work like a 'Send' key?E.g. on older BBs, when you dial *120# + Send from the home screen, the request is sent to the mobile provider and a response pops up on the screen notifying the user of their Balance.However, when I do this on BB Storm, it's dialing the short-code as if it's a telephone number and the "Your call cannot be completed as dialled..." message plays.I need to use a number of these *xxx# short codes to take advantage of the features my mobile provider offers but I'm not getting anywhere since migrating to the Storm.Can anyone suggest a work-around?
