View 1 RepliesI lost my iphone. Is there a way to block my IMEI, so that nobody else can use it? This is the second time I lost my iphone this month and I lost it among the same circle of people. I feel like making a stolen phone unused so that the thief won't take other people's phone anymore.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes any know how to get RIM to block the PIN on my Blackberry that was stolen? I've already contacted my service provider and they stopped the SIM card but as the phone is unlocked, the person that found it can stick any SIM into it and still use it. I need to know how to contact them to do this if possible.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a S2 on UK Vodafone contract even though I am currently living in NZ. My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at 1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages. It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my Gingerbread S2 on O2 to 2.3.5 and it has lost my ringtone, this must have been a default one as it is not in the backup folder I made of the custom ones before the update. trouble is I can't remember what it was called - I think it was a short two word name beginning with N or M.
it sounded similar to the 24 ringtone (Cisco phone) but was better. if anyone knows what I'm talking about or could send a pack of their tones I would be greatful as it was very distinctive.
I woke up this morning and have lost my battery icon top right on status bar?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9000 was stolen and I did not write down the IMEI number. In order to report the theft to the police, it would be very helpful to have the IMEI. Actually, I thought that this number was stored within the backups that I made (using the Desktop Manager). But I could not find anything like the IMEI number in the files.
Is there a chance to recover the IMEI from some log files? Where would I have to look?
Is it possible for RIM to recover the IMEI when I provide them with the PIN? I am a private customer, not a business customer, and did not operate the BB via BIS or BES.
Every time I got myself a new Samsung handset I register it with a hope that I will track it down. And now my phone lost and disappeared from Samsung find my mobile both my s5 and s6. Is that a sign that are being used even though I blacklisted them. How secure is find my mobile website, because even if they requested password change I would have received sms notification from my mail to go through my Samsung account.

I can track my phone and lodge a complaint in the police station but for tracking it I need an imei number. I looked in the devices panel and found out that I didn't have a backup of it. So is there any way of retrieving my IMEI number via iCloud backup?

My fleet of fifteen client Xyboard tablets on Verizon received their OTA push of the Android 4.0.4 operating system this morning. I was pretty stoked until one of our primary software components wouldn't function. After quite a bit of work, we discovered that the Verizon/Motorola system update had changed all of the Xyboard's IMEI Device ID numbers by appending an additional digit to them. This changed the previous 14 character device ID numbers to fifteen character device ID numbers. The result was that any software that had license binding to the device ID no longer functioned. This was true for our Sygic navigation and routing software. We had to completely relicense this software component on 15 tablets.First, I wanted to warn other Xyboard users of this potential problem. Second, I wonder if anyone can provide any idea of why this happened. Many companies, like ours, enter these IMEI Device ID numbers into our capital asset inventory log system because, supposedly, they never change and could be used by the police if one was ever stolen. What could possibly be the reason for changing them in a system update?? Now, not only did it break some of our most important software, angering our clients and causing us enormous headaches, but it also makes our entire capital asset inventory incorrect.
