While travelling I turned the data off. I log in to wifi and can use the browser but cannot send or receive emails to the accounts set up on the phone. Just got the phone back from blackberry cause prior to this wifi did not work at all. I am thinking the problem h only been partially fixed....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my 8530 to OS 5, funny thing though, when I'm not at home on my WiFi, I don't receive my emails, the browser doesn't seem to find anything (sticks are "requesting") and the FB app doesn't work.However, when I am away from my WiFi, my Pandora App still streams music from the web, so I'm wondering if there are any settings that may have been reset regarding the internet or data?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BB Torch 9800 has stopped being able to use BBM, emails and a couple more apps through my wifi conection. I am in an area where ther is no network signal, so this service is very essential for me. The internet browser on the phone works ok, and some apps work ok (whats app,facebook). I have been onto O2 and they say evertyhing looks fine at their end, and nothing has accidentally been switched off. My wifes phone (BB Storm with T-Mobile) is still working with BBM ok.

I have had my BB 9780 for years, when going abroad I use to receive emails and using BBM by WIFI only and this has for years been working without any problems.For some reason this year when going abroad it doesn't work anymore, I have tried several WIFI networks (some even same as I use to be able to use before)I have 2 email addresses, a Hotmail and a company email address.I have no problem using my browser, going to various web-pages - only emails and BBM service is dead ....?I have checked for software updates, and do now have software version 6.0 bundle 2534.

Im using Vodafone 3G in India. My iphone 4S is able to download mails perfectly fine from my gmail and corporate email using home wi-fi.
On connecting to vodafone 2G or 3G the mails do not work. It keeps trying to connect and nothing happens after that. Regular internet browsing works fine in 2G and 3G and wi-fi. I can see that the browsing is faster in 3G compared to grps.
I have tried to reset network settings in iPhone, removed and insetred SIM. I also upgraded to IOS 5.1.1, no luck

I can receive emails via the wifi in my home but cannot dial out. The phone continues to say radio off and when attempt to call out it asks to restore the connectio, so I click on restore connections and after a few seconds it says no service currently available. How do I fix this or is the system down?

1) I can not connect to the intenet/wifi at home. Had the update go through on the 18th and since then,it will not connect. Connects everywhere else. Went to a Tmobile store and they backed up everything and did a reinstall. Still wont work. Building has reset the router. Says secured, WEP, but wont connect and then goes and shows disabled.
2) When it was reinstalled, now I can not skip two spaces when texting or in emails and then the period inserted and next letter is capitalized. How do I get that back...
It seems as when I'm connected to a WiFi I have no data service. I recently uninstalled the apps I did not think I needed and were running in the background. I did not uninstall any android app but I'm wondering if there was something I missed.

The Wi-fi is always greyed out for open Wifi connections at airports, hotels, etc. I did manage to get it to turn white once but that was for a WEP-protected connection where I connected manually. Are there some settings that are incorrect? (e.g. the APN username and password is blank in TCP/IP menu).

I did that but I still can't get my emails. Tried tweeting blackberry but very unhelpful. After asking if my email address was a google or hotmail one (its not, its an Australian telco called optusnet) they said I needed to contact my provider. Issue is that my email is through one telco - optusnet while my mobile account is with another - Vodafone. Which provider am I supposed to contact?

I rang them up, had the config texts come through to my phone and it was all going great for 3 days. I then put my old SIM card back in the phone to see if i had any texts on my old number. After that i put the Orange SIM back in and now all my email accounts have vanished. When i go to the email wizard it lists my email accounts and says i need to re-enter my passwords to access them. I do and it just says "Sorry unable to continue your session. Please log in again".
