I'm connected to the Wifi but I am not receiving emails, snapchats, skype messages while I'm on the house Wifi. The second I turn off wifi or connect to 4G, I get ALL the messages/etc from the the last several hours.

I was having no trouble receiving messages and e-mail updates from my PC, but yesterday they stopped for no reasonable there be something wrong with my curve as I never had any problems before.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my 8530 to OS 5, funny thing though, when I'm not at home on my WiFi, I don't receive my emails, the browser doesn't seem to find anything (sticks are "requesting") and the FB app doesn't work.However, when I am away from my WiFi, my Pandora App still streams music from the web, so I'm wondering if there are any settings that may have been reset regarding the internet or data?

I also have lost the ability to send text messages and emails, as well.Tried removing the battery and resetting that way, and have also done a soft reboot per AT&T's instructions.AT&T has also reset my registration (or something like that) and have verified that nothing in my service plan has changed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo when running Skype on my galaxy s6 (t-mobile variant but it's an app so I thought it might be all variants with this issue).
It will stay logged in and I will keep receiving messages for a short time. Even when I keep running skype in the background I will not receive notifications after a while like more than 30+ mins.
So, I have to launch the app or go through my recents and it acts as it's signing in and then I get my new messages.
It even says before you log out for the first time that you can stay logged on and keep receiving notifications without consuming the battery (which I think is bull, too).
Is it the app of the phone? Or the provider? This happens on data or wifi.
I have had the new version of skype downloaded onto my phone for awhile and it has never given me issues until yesterday. It doesn't give me any push notifications while I am not in the app (no noises, banners, vibrations, sounds or preview of the message at all). I have new messages when I bring skype up that I never received notifications for. I'm not receiving notifications AT ALL.Â
I have notifications for sounds and previews and pretty much everything turned on in both my settings and in the app itself.Â
I contacted skype about this and all they could do, suggest downloading a previous version to my phone. How would I do that? Is that the answer to my problem? I've tried deleting and redownloading the app, that did not work.Â

hello, I just upgraded my phone to the .732. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.

How can one instruct skype to use a wifi connection? this makes skype use abroad very expensive.

If the 3G icon and the wireless icon are both shown, how do I know which I'm actually using and if I'm being charged for the call - in other words how can I know for sure that all I'm doing is using the local wifi rather than dialling out, or visa versa? I receive a number of legitimate business emails through MS Outlook on my laptop, although some may incorrectly come through labelled "bulk" in Outlook (i.e. an email sent from someone I know just to me). These same emails do not come through on my BB. My BB does otherwise receive emails. how to correct so I receive all emails on my BB. I am not on a BES.

There is no pattern to those I receive and those I don't.i have changed no settings on my phone and everything was normal 7-10 days ago. Yahoo initially told me to remove the Yahoo account on my phone, re-boot and then re-load the account. While i travel outside my country of residence, i normally keep the "Data Services" OFF (during roaming), but Wi-Fi ON. While i am able to browse the web in this mode (assumiing i am connected to a Wi-Fi network), i am not able to receive emails. I have tried all of the simple fixes suggested on this website including having deleted and then re-added my Yahoo account to no avail. I am able to do everything else with my phone as normal. My MacBook continues to receive e-mails as previously. I have received no error messages.

I have had my carrier's support desk (Verizon) walk me through procedures to make sure I am capable of receiving these messages (which I am receiving on my computer, but not all show up on the blackberry).........and now I am hearing from Verizon that I need to contact Blackberry support. Is there a # to call? I don't know where to start. I can see on the Blackberry email setup icon that I have my verizon email address listed there with the correct password (and again, I am receiving some messages, just not all). Am I missing something here?
p.s. Also, I can't tell a difference between the emails that show up and those that do not...it's not like it's all the 'gmail and yahoo' messages that I don't receive, for instance...seems to be random.

this just started today, my iphone 4s no longer recieves emails, yet it can send them. I have an aol account, and it says it can't open the aol email address that I have saved on the phone, and it shows that the mail as not been updated since 1:42 am this morning. It shows its checking for mail but then just stops.my imessage just randomly stopped working now too. I checked the settings and it shows its on.
