I had my email account set up on my blackberry and was getting all my emails through no probs then I got a message to say I had to verify my password so had to type in a username and password but I was never given a username and have no idea what it is or where I can find it?I have contacted o2 who have said to contact blackberry but Im not having much luck?

If I enter my e-mail address I'm told there's a blank username. The same happens if I try to add another e-mail address.

For instance, I had to fix my all of my profiles sounds after backing up, and I went to my Blackberry Appworld, scrolled over to My Appworld and it says 'no downloads' and I have downloaded a lot of applications. That's not really a problem for me, as long as I get messages when updates come out for the apps...? Now, I am trying to setup another email address and when going to 'email setup wizard', I am being prompted for a Username and Password. I don't remember ever making a username or password for email setup, but was able to firgure out I could put my PIN in for my password to be sent, which it was. BUT I still do not know what my username is, and I've tried my email addresses with and without what's after the @ and still no luck.

The appears as when I yse synbol above the g in email and other text but NOT in the email address field when adding a new username. Also, cannot just copy and paste - the symbol disappears. I have changed gont, rebooted, everythign! It is driving me nuts.

First, I couldn't remember my username/password combination for BIS. I rang my service provider several times and was told that it was nothing to do with them and that only Blackberry could sort out the situation. Well eventually I managed to get in to my email settings and set up two email accounts, however there was still one more I wanted to set up, but when I tried to log in again it wouldn't work! Even though I used the same combination as before. Using my username, I requested my password to be sent to me and it said it was sending but I still haven't gotten anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to set up my email account through the wizard set up and have been largely unsuccessful. I read a couple of posts that have given a step-by-step process. My only problem is that I don't have an option that says 'Add account.' Here are the steps I've followed:
1) Go to Email Setup
2) Choose 'I want to create or add an email address.
3) Click next
4)Click next again
5)Then, I get a message which says 'Existing Users, to log in, please provide your username and password.'
I don't have an option to add an account. When I put in my username and password into the fields, I get a message saying please enter a valid username. (My service provider already set up my Gmail, and couldn't add the other one. I told him I'd figure it out)
is there any possibility of retrieving lost or deleted emails from my blackberry account? I tried RIM support & they said they have no way of doing this as the emails do not stay on there server at all. I have lost emails from Oct of 2011 that I had kept on my device. They were on my device as much as a few days ago, & now simply have vanished! I have not deleted them myself at all either?
Unfortunately, I have not backed up my device for more than 3 months ago & I had not saved the messages as I was n ot experiencing any email issues before. My email management settings are set to hold "Forever" as well? I am extremely puzzled with this situation that I could have prevented.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI started using Gmail Exchange for my gmail account, its great however i lost the ability to "search emails on server" for example if "Rob" has sent me and email 2 days ago and still shows on my iPhone i can search for it, but if the email no longer sync with my iPhone and i need to hit "Search email on server" it doesnt find it, this feature was working with no problem when i was on imap, is it only me or is this feature broken on gmail exchange?
View 4 Replies View RelatedA few months ago, I purchased a BlackBerry Bold 9780 for personal use, with T-Mobile service. I'm on OS 6.0 Bundle 1879, using BlackBerry Desktop Software v. 6.1.0.35. I set up six email accounts on the BB device; each is a web-based, POP account hosted by GoDaddy, and each is also set up on my desktop computer Outlook (with messages for all six accounts set to be deleted from each host account upon download to Outlook). I am not using BlackBerry Enterprise Server or MS Exchange Server.For a couple of months, everything worked fine. Email received by any of the six accounts was received at about the same time on Outlook and my BB device. Synchronization of Calendar appointments for my BB-device default account worked fine in both directions. (I understand that BlackBerry Desktop Software is incapable of synching appointments from email accounts other than the account set as default on the BB device, which is a significant limitation but not the subject of this post.)Since BB's disastrous outage in October, I have experienced major problems with email received and appointments related to my BB-device default account (only):
1) Email for my BB-device default account that is received in Outlook takes at least two days to push through to my BB device, and is usually never received on the BB device. This problem does not effect the other five email accounts set up on my BB device; all six accounts are hosted by GoDaddy and are owned by me.
2) Calendar appointments do not synchronize in either direction between Outlook and my BB device.
3) Calendar appointments sent from my BB device are frequently not received by recipients.

It used to be that if I moved a message to a folder in hotmail (on my laptop) and then deleted it from my inbox on the BB, the message would still be in the folder. Now it seems that if I delete a message on my BB, it deletes it from my email account, no matter where it's stored. Is this new or do I need to change a setting to fix it? I have lost several important emails by assuming they were safe in a folder and then deleting them on it.

We had all our contacts in our blackberrys when we left the store, I was even assigning ring tones to certain people already. I downloaded blackberry for facebook later that night and all my contacts were suddenly gone. I've tried to manually put in contacts, click save, and then no contact shows up. There are no filters checked in the contacts so I know it's not that. Any other ideas?
