I have a Nokia C6. everything was good, emails via wifi, surfing. then i made a software update via ovi suit. lost my accounts, the email wizard wont work so i cant reset my mails, cant surf.any solutions to this problem.I dont have a nokia care center close by and need my phone 24/7

View 19 Replies View RelatedI performed updated from Anna to Belle today for my girlfriend on Nokia C7. I synchronized contacts, calendar and notes via iSync on my Mac OS. After update all messages are erased and she had important information there. I read in trouble shooting, that:: What should I do if the automatic restore of my phones content doesnâ work after I did the update to Nokia Belle and I dont see my contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc.?A: The backup of your phone content is stored under C:Users[username]DocumentsNokia SuiteBackups and includes "Nokia_Belle_Update" in the filename. If the automatic restore doesn't work, you can try to restore your contents manually by opening the "Tools menu" in Nokia Suite and selecting "Restore".
I installed Ovi Suite on Mac and downloaded extra support for C7, but I couldn't restore that information. She never installed Ovi Suite on her PC. My question is: is she installs Ovi Suite for PC on her laptop, will she be able to restore old messages? I recently switched to Belle as well on my Nokia N8, but I'm not that crazy about old messages, so I haven't noticed it. I checked on my phone using Files disk C, but there wasn't any folders with my username.
After receiving a replacement Tour, I performed the device switch wizard, and all came through fine except...I no longer have the notepad icon, looked everywhere..."show all", options - > Applications -> All and I can't find it.I also can't find a setting for my phone, or desktop software that will allow me to accept meeting requests.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've lost all Internet capabilities on my C7; it happened two weeks ago when I went to the middle of nowhere and had no reception whatsoever, upon returning to civilisation the normal phone reception returned fine but the Internet and email will not work at all - it won't pick up previously recognised wi-fi networks and won't connect through my WAP either.
It has happened before but always came back within a day or so, but as said this has now lasted two weeks and absolutely nothing.
I know the answer must be on here somewhere, but I'm blowed if can find it.I always use the predictive text but suddenly it's started generating rubbish, and I can't get it back.I tried switching off and on, removing and replacing battery, etc. Have debated re-installing factory settings but sounds a bit drastic after 15 months of use.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI lost the Ovi store icon from my phone today. I can see Ovi store app when I check application manager>installed apps. But it is not there in the menu. So I cant access it by any means. I tried installing the new qml store client. Even that gets installed but not available thru menu. I can confirm it is installed in the phone memory as I can see it in the installed apps list. But no way I can use it since there is no icon for it. Also I have lost my internet search engine which is used to search web content thru native browser.

I was deleting messages from my inbox when my phone just hung for a few seconds then shut down. When i turned it on, my settings reset. All my contacts, messages, stuff from my gallery were all gone. There's no "inbox" in my messaging. No ovi. In my internet menu there's just home, browser and web services. EVERYTHING from my phone memory were gone and some of the phone's features too.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBefore upgrade to Belle, I have some 30+ appllication installed in my C7 Anna. Surprisingly, After upgrade to Belle, many of applications were missed. I have to reinstall all those applicaitons again.
Is this due to some problem during Belle upgrade or is it expected that all existing applications will be erased after upgrade?

View 5 Replies View RelatedYesterday the software update Nokia Belle for C7 was approved for my region. I installed it instantly by following the instructions. After the update my device worked well, but I noticed some things that may point to a software problem on the device. I decided to reinstall it. I followed the instructions, the Nokia Suite checked and found the installation file on my PC and the reinstallation began normally. A backup was made of my contacts and other stuff, then the installation began.
Not long after that the Suit says that the connection to my device is lost (not a windows warning). It suggested several things to do to continue, but it couldn't. Currently my C7 is not working. I tried to remove and put back the battery & recharge it but still can't start the phone. When I plug it to my PC via USB, I hear the windows sound for USB device connected and disconnected after that. The only living sign of my device is the little white light, next to the USB port, which is blinking when I plug the charger and try turn the phone On.
is there any possibility of retrieving lost or deleted emails from my blackberry account? I tried RIM support & they said they have no way of doing this as the emails do not stay on there server at all. I have lost emails from Oct of 2011 that I had kept on my device. They were on my device as much as a few days ago, & now simply have vanished! I have not deleted them myself at all either?
Unfortunately, I have not backed up my device for more than 3 months ago & I had not saved the messages as I was n ot experiencing any email issues before. My email management settings are set to hold "Forever" as well? I am extremely puzzled with this situation that I could have prevented.

View 4 Replies View RelatedA few months ago, I purchased a BlackBerry Bold 9780 for personal use, with T-Mobile service. I'm on OS 6.0 Bundle 1879, using BlackBerry Desktop Software v. 6.1.0.35. I set up six email accounts on the BB device; each is a web-based, POP account hosted by GoDaddy, and each is also set up on my desktop computer Outlook (with messages for all six accounts set to be deleted from each host account upon download to Outlook). I am not using BlackBerry Enterprise Server or MS Exchange Server.For a couple of months, everything worked fine. Email received by any of the six accounts was received at about the same time on Outlook and my BB device. Synchronization of Calendar appointments for my BB-device default account worked fine in both directions. (I understand that BlackBerry Desktop Software is incapable of synching appointments from email accounts other than the account set as default on the BB device, which is a significant limitation but not the subject of this post.)Since BB's disastrous outage in October, I have experienced major problems with email received and appointments related to my BB-device default account (only):
1) Email for my BB-device default account that is received in Outlook takes at least two days to push through to my BB device, and is usually never received on the BB device. This problem does not effect the other five email accounts set up on my BB device; all six accounts are hosted by GoDaddy and are owned by me.
2) Calendar appointments do not synchronize in either direction between Outlook and my BB device.
3) Calendar appointments sent from my BB device are frequently not received by recipients.
My storm still does not receive my emails even after installing the new Blackberry messenger. I reset my email yesterday and lost all my contacts in the process. Does any know how I can retrieve my contacts or get my email working again?

It used to be that if I moved a message to a folder in hotmail (on my laptop) and then deleted it from my inbox on the BB, the message would still be in the folder. Now it seems that if I delete a message on my BB, it deletes it from my email account, no matter where it's stored. Is this new or do I need to change a setting to fix it? I have lost several important emails by assuming they were safe in a folder and then deleting them on it.

The GPS locates my position, the navigation calculates the route..but after a while it says "GPS signal lost". Has it got anything to do with servers? connections? View 2 Replies View RelatedFirstly, I've had a problem ticket and Emails with Nokia Support on the problem I'm about to describe and I'm told it will be forwarded to the OVI Suite Team to investigate.Basic problem is that Ovi Suite can not correctly register/recognise the maps it has downloaded to the phone.However the phone checks the server with it's map update function and reports back that they are at the latest level and no updates are available. Ovi Suite tells me correctly the maps I have on my phone but still offers the " 'gold star' Updated Maps Available" and if you then click this BOOM! all your phone maps are wiped out as the new maps start to download.VERY VERY annoying and expensive in time and financially costly on internet connections with limited/paid for bandwidth.I can confirm, as support have, that I have the lastest versions of phone software, maps software and installed maps.I've also done 3 clean installs (including running PC Suite Cleaner) and the problem still remains.As far as the phone is concerned it is totally happy with all software levels (after checking with the servers) and everything else works on the phone as normal.
I have asked if there are any internal logs/debug switches I can turn on to help diagnose the problem but am advised'for nokia use only' (or words to that effect).From an end user point of view this is very frustrating, especially the basic map update mechanism as once initiated all existing maps are wiped out on the phone.I think this should be changed if at all possible.Most people will want an up to date map for where they are or planning to go.However to have a map version of places you are likely to go at short notice (even if they are out of date) is and important backup/safety feature.To be forced to update all maps is really not a very user or server friendly feature.Anyway, any comments are welcome (do you have a C5-03 & Ovi Suite and see this issue?) and meanwhile I'll wait to see if there is a fix in the pipeline.
