Before upgrade to Belle, I have some 30+ appllication installed in my C7 Anna. Surprisingly, After upgrade to Belle, many of applications were missed. I have to reinstall all those applicaitons again.
Is this due to some problem during Belle upgrade or is it expected that all existing applications will be erased after upgrade?

View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday the software update Nokia Belle for C7 was approved for my region. I installed it instantly by following the instructions. After the update my device worked well, but I noticed some things that may point to a software problem on the device. I decided to reinstall it. I followed the instructions, the Nokia Suite checked and found the installation file on my PC and the reinstallation began normally. A backup was made of my contacts and other stuff, then the installation began.
Not long after that the Suit says that the connection to my device is lost (not a windows warning). It suggested several things to do to continue, but it couldn't. Currently my C7 is not working. I tried to remove and put back the battery & recharge it but still can't start the phone. When I plug it to my PC via USB, I hear the windows sound for USB device connected and disconnected after that. The only living sign of my device is the little white light, next to the USB port, which is blinking when I plug the charger and try turn the phone On.
i just upgrade anna to belle... but most of my games apps were lost... is it really lost or just the shortcuts were lost... i tried searching them but still cant find them...

1) widget offline setting
2) automatic wifi enable when launching the browser, store or other internet app
3) bluetooth beep no longer present after turning off bluetooth
4) turning wifi on doesn't automatically pair with defined access point
5) task manager or open applications feature
6) automatic screen blanking while placing or receiving a call
7) wife connection drops but wifi radio stays on
8) touching battery icon indicates remaining power (same for other icons)
Another nit, apps that were previously downloaded when they were free, can no longer be downloaded without paying. Why does the upgrade remove your apps anyway?
I have recently updated my nokia c7 from symbian Anna to symbian belle. The new OS runs fine, but some of the applications I had downloaded while I was using Anna were deleted. I have backed up my data before updating, on the computer, but I do not know how to restore it on the phone. if you know how to get back my applications
View 4 Replies View Relatedi have blackberry curve 8900. i upgraded the OS from 4.6 to version 5.0. it was successful. i did a back up files before i upgrade and restore it after i upgrade. however when i browse my phone, most of the pre-installed application was lost? no games inside the folder, some program in the applications folder was lost and many more even the third party application. but what i don't understand is why the pre-installed applications are gone? do i need to re-install again these applications?

After update all messages are erased and she had important information there. I read in trouble shooting, that:: What should I do if the automatic restore of my phones content doesnâ work after I did the update to Nokia Belle and I dont see my contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc.?A: The backup of your phone content is stored under C:Users[username]DocumentsNokia SuiteBackups and includes "Nokia_Belle_Update" in the filename. I installed Ovi Suite on Mac and downloaded extra support for C7, but I couldn't restore that information. She never installed Ovi Suite on her PC. My question is: is she installs Ovi Suite for PC on her laptop, will she be able to restore old messages? I recently switched to Belle as well on my Nokia N8, but I'm not that crazy about old messages, so I haven't noticed it. I checked on my phone using Files disk C, but there wasn't any folders with my username.
I would be keen to know if we can upgrade C6-00 symbian software to Symbian Belle. If not can there be any upgrades available in the near future.

As I remember in Anna version, the MMS access point setting can be find in this way, menu -> Setting -> connectivity -> Settings -> Network destinations -> MMS. In there you can set the IP of the MMS etc.

After an upgrade with Belle, it is impossible to get WiFi to work : Although the roaming finds my WLAN, and after introducing the exact WEP key, I allways get a WiFi not found error. View 9 Replies View RelatedUntil I updated my C6-01 to Belle, I was satisfied with the quality of the photos, given the known restrictions of the fixed focus lenses.
After Belle update, I have this impression that almost every photo I take is out of focus. I allways use the virtual button on the camera app to shoot photos, and not the physical button on the right side of the phone. I have not dropped my phone on the ground or something. I allways take good care of the phone.
What do you C6-01 owners think of that?
A notice that each day a new folder is created on the C: drive of my C6-01 Belle. The name of those folders are dates, on the format YYYYMMDD, e.g. 20120410. The files on those folders have names such as ##-##.##_SearchServer.txt. Those are text files which seam to contain a log file.
This whole thing is quite inconvenient, since normally the mentioned folders have 6 to 9 MBytes. Every week or so I have to manually delete the folders, in order to gain space on my C: drive. If I don't do so, the space on the C: drive can shrink in a few weeks from the normal 190 MB to 20 Mb or so.
What the heck is this? Isn't Belle supposed to be a user friendly system? A system is not supposed to keep creating folders every day and leaving them behind as garbage. A 'normal' user would never have the idea (or the courage) to keep deleting system folders every week or so in order to gain space on the system drive!
I did the Anna update on my Astound, From information gathered on some forums, it did not install right. It has issues that it did not have before. Since Belle looks to be released in February, I am guessing that a phone not working correctly after Anna, probably should not take a chance on Belle?, In other words, An Anna update did not install correctly, there is no option to reinstall. That would make it very probable that Belle would not be able to correct that? or install itself properly? Doesn't a later update require a previous update to install correctly? I have been told that only Nokia can reflash my phone back to original, I live in the US, it looks like that would be unable to accomplish. I would have to buy another phone just to have this one shipped off.
