Up until two days ago I could connect without any problems to my home wireless connection however now every time I try it says it failed to require an IP address. I have tried rebooting it and the other tricks that usually work such as turning on and off the connections but nothing is working.

The desktop software says that it cannot connect and implys there is a problem with the usb cable, but upon plugging it in, it launches the desktop software.I need to get a new phone, and it wound be a blackberry.
Recently repaired WIFI router (BT Hub) result my Iphone no longers connects although no problems with Ipad.

My legend has connected to my router without any problems until the other day when BT had a problem and we were without phone line and router for 48 hours. When it came back, I was no longer able to connect with the Legend. My laptop connects wirelessly without a problem but I get the message: "obtaining IP Address.." and then it disconnects and tries again.

It worked like a charm the first day I got it, but now I can't get it to connect. Coverage is spotty where I live, so I need to connect to the internet to get calls and what no. I have the required data plan, so I am unsure as to why it stopped working.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWM 6.1 upgrade went without problem, but now I have issue with Wi-Fi access.PIE is unable to open any websites if the phone connects to any secured wireless network.(WEP, WPA, WPA2)Only time the wi-fi would work is when I connect to non-secured network.When I was on WM 6.0, I had no issues what so ever, so this is a new problem and I know I setup the network correctly. (Router issues IP address and network card receives IP address.)Looks like it happened to couple of others as well, but there does not look to be any remedy for it.
Of course about 90% of the time I will be connecting to non-secured network, so it should not be a too large an issue, but if possible, I would like to fix this.According to the search, only remedy I have seen is a guy contacting Samsung and getting WM 6.0 re-flashed on the phone. Other than 6.0 reflash, could there be any other potential resolution that I have overlooked?
I've had a Lumia 1020 for a while. I've been connecting it to a Win7 desktop to offload pictures at work, and I connect it to a Win8.1 desktop at home. Today, I plug in my 1020 to my Win7 machine and it doesn't show up in Windows Explorer. I reboot the machine, still won't show up. I go to devices and printers in control panel and I delete the driver, replug in my phone, and upon discovery, it's now trying to install a Lumia 909, which fails, BTW... So I can't offload picts to my Win7 box. I need to try it with my Win8.1 machine.

I may have reset to defaults during my attempts to connect, I am not sure what happened. My wife has the same blackberry and connects just fine. My phone sees the router, but it shows a WAP security deal. When I try to set it up-there is no WPA option. It tells me the blackberry will enter a PIN, but it never does.

After upgrading my 5800XM to v40 and upgrading to the latest PC suite and software updater versions on my PC, my phone no longer connects with the computer with the error message "cannot authenticate phone" with bluetooth. If I try USB connection, the OS crashes while trying to install phone software (windows 7 pro, Dell Inspiron 6400). I have uninstalled and re-installed all nokia software on the PC and still got the same results. Even without PC suite, the phone does not connect through the PC bluetooth anymore.

It's able to detect it and the signal is strong but it won't connect. I'm able to connect to Wifi everywhere else (at the library, my friend's house..etc). I've tried rebooting a couple of times, renewing the lease, reseting network settings, forgetting the network and reconnecting to it. Nothing seems to work so far! I've also tired restarting my router..

My daughter (who lives in another town) and I just switched from Samsung Mesmerize to Electrify phones. We both have D-Link DIR-655 routers in our homes. Although we had no problem using wifi with our old phones, the Electrify searches, connects and then immediately disconnects. I've spent hours checking out the router software as the admin, checking on line to see if others have reported this and I've tried every combination of options on the Electrify. We're both running Win7 and both use our routers successfully on other wireless devices in our homes.

For some unknown reason my Blackberry refuses to connect to my home Wifi. The Wireless AP is a Buffalo Nfinity B/G/N and I have several other devices connected, two Wireless N laptops and a Wireless G Ethernet bridge, no issues at all there.The phone sees the network, asks me for the passphrase and tries to connect, but then fails with "Unable to obtain IP address".MAC filtering isn't enabled and the AP is currently set to WPA2-PSK AES but changing that to other options seems to have no effect, same failure message on the Blackberry each time.

When I used to print I think there was a samsung print server and a google print server. I think the google one is what worked.
However on the s6 there is only a samsung one. I did download the hp print app from the play store. When I go to print something it shows my printer however nothing comes out or of it is supposed to I cancel it after five minutes. The printer is on line and does work with a lap top.
When i'm connecting with my house wireless while i''m sending imessages they suddenly stop and gives me not deliverd i asked my friend that i'm sending with her if she stopped her imessages she told me no and on my iphone imessage still blue but still giving me not delivered then i tried to connect with another wireless network i shocked that they worked again and they delivered i need a solution my imessages make this every two days they work for two days then suddenly stop on my house wireless and work with any other wireless!!

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had my BB 9700 for just over a month now, without having any issues whatsoever with the handset, and recently my 9700 refuses to connect to my wireless network at home, it finds the network, acquires an IP address, and connection speed even displays the signal strength, but looking at the Wi-Fi diagnostics on the BB there seems to be a problem with the Infrastructure, it attempts to connect and continuously fails.
I have tried restarting the BB, and the router, this doesn't seem to solve the problem though.
Has anyone else had or heard of this issue before? And are there any solutions?
I am on T-Mobile and the BB is not unlocked or anything of that nature.

I can open Opera and can't go anywhere. I can open up IE and still can't browse anything. Anyone have a suggestion? The Omnia is definitely connected properly to my network on a Netgear router.

When I tried to set up the My Presence section within the phone I entered in my username, password and then it asked me for server information so I entered in what I thought was the right info, but now it keeps giving me a network error failure message.
My phone was working and just quit. My wifes 8350i connects by USB fine, but mine does not. I did all the resets and a wipe of the phone. Nothing is working to get the USB to work. Is the phone junk? With out the USB I can not load any service books for boost.
