My legend has connected to my router without any problems until the other day when BT had a problem and we were without phone line and router for 48 hours. When it came back, I was no longer able to connect with the Legend. My laptop connects wirelessly without a problem but I get the message: "obtaining IP Address.." and then it disconnects and tries again.
View 1 RepliesMy iphone 5 detects wifi only when near to the router but is not detected if I move a few steps. My brother's iphone 5S and my dad's 5 are working fine with same router. They are able to access it upto 30 feet but i cant even extend it more than 10 feet.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem is with Wifi connection to my Siemens Router. The phone detects my network and shows three bar signal strength. I then select the network, type in the password, select connect.....and nothing. It shows the network as remembered, but everytime I try to connect nothing happens and the Wifi 'tick box' always shows disconnected.It did connect to a BTopen Network. Which leads me to believe it is my router. The wireless is obviously on and working if the phone detects it. So, as a newbie to wireless, I assume all you need to connect the phone is the SSID name, and the WPA key (which, I believe is the password).

Up until two days ago I could connect without any problems to my home wireless connection however now every time I try it says it failed to require an IP address. I have tried rebooting it and the other tricks that usually work such as turning on and off the connections but nothing is working.

The desktop software says that it cannot connect and implys there is a problem with the usb cable, but upon plugging it in, it launches the desktop software.I need to get a new phone, and it wound be a blackberry.
I've had a Lumia 1020 for a while. I've been connecting it to a Win7 desktop to offload pictures at work, and I connect it to a Win8.1 desktop at home. Today, I plug in my 1020 to my Win7 machine and it doesn't show up in Windows Explorer. I reboot the machine, still won't show up. I go to devices and printers in control panel and I delete the driver, replug in my phone, and upon discovery, it's now trying to install a Lumia 909, which fails, BTW... So I can't offload picts to my Win7 box. I need to try it with my Win8.1 machine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been searching for hours to find a way of getting my HTC Legend to pick up the internet and use it's internet based widgets away from WiFi, as I am on a Pay as you go contract with O2, and I can't seem to setup the APN's correctly. - O2 do not support this phone, or even the hero, and when they tried sending me setup info, they must have sent the details to the wrong email address :O(
The phone loads up with the Vodafone screen (so has obviously come from them at some point), but works just fine with my O2 sim card, with the exception of the internet.
I'm sitting at my desk and my wifi router is just a few feet from me. Despite the fact my iPhone 4S is connected, it only shows 3 bars of service.Is there something wrong with the wifi receiver on the phone?

After upgrading my 5800XM to v40 and upgrading to the latest PC suite and software updater versions on my PC, my phone no longer connects with the computer with the error message "cannot authenticate phone" with bluetooth. If I try USB connection, the OS crashes while trying to install phone software (windows 7 pro, Dell Inspiron 6400). I have uninstalled and re-installed all nokia software on the PC and still got the same results. Even without PC suite, the phone does not connect through the PC bluetooth anymore.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere's the timezone issue they have to fix, all inbound txts are in a different timezone.Also, when Im at home with 3g and wifi activated, apps will have alot of trouble getting to the internet. I have to disable one to get networking to work. Ill try locale app but networking should work seamlessly.Now I see the 3G icon and the H icon whirring away and I have 'Mobile network' disabled.Anyone else having these network issues? Does the Legend notify you if youve had an OTA update?

I get as far as the opening screen showing the time and date but none of the four buttons along the bottom of the screen do anything. The only button working is the on/off button.
Tried a factory reset using the volume down and power button. Phone rebooted but I am still stuck with buttons that don't respond and I cannot do anything.

I have an unlocked phone, and it worked fine on the wifi with a foreign SIM card. I traveled abroad always with the mobile network off and just using the wifi and it worked perfectly. Only when came back to the U.S. and inserted my AT&T SIM card and registered the phone with them, the wifi did not work any more, even though it connects to all the available wifi networks.I have tried everything: re-registering the phone with the previous foreign SIM card; reset the phone to factory defaults; but it did not solve the problem.
