So, the phone automatically connects to WiFi at my home, but not at my office. It has the WiFi password saved, but I have to manually go into settings and make it join.
Also, and I think this is tied into the WiFi issue, but my emails NEVER sync. The delay has been as bad as four hours.
I have a blackberry curve 9300.i don't have a data plan but I want to connect to wifi. It connects to the wifi network but it will not let me use the internet any know how to fix it?
I'm having major issues with WiFi after the kit Kat update. I've turned off WiFi optimization and my WiFi still automatically turns itself on even though I have WiFi off.
My iphone doesn't stay connected to my home wifi. Anywhere else it stays connected no problem but it never seems to work at home. It's always got a spinning wheel infront of the network. I've tried to 'forget' the network and re-sign up but it has not helped.
My unit can connect to a working WiFi, but cant browse web or such apps i.e Android Market, FB, Navigation etc. I tried to change WEP and SECURITY on my ROUTER but to no avail.
The message 'A communication failure has occurred. The server may be busy.., please try again later" . I have an unlocked phone, and it worked fine on the wifi with a foreign SIM card. I traveled abroad always with the mobile network off and just using the wifi and it worked perfectly. Only when came back to the U.S. and inserted my AT&T SIM card and registered the phone with them, the wifi did not work any more, even though it connects to all the available wifi networks.I have tried everything: re-registering the phone with the previous foreign SIM card; reset the phone to factory defaults; but it did not solve the problem.
Wifi connects but signal fades. disconnect and reconnect solves momentarily. This is very common. Read all the other posts. Reset entire phone to no avail. This is just a note for potential owners.
I tried connecting my Xperia Mini ST15i phone to our house's wifi connection. It will connect but after a few seconds it will disconnect then reconnect again.
I just bought Neo V 3 days ago. First day I connected it to internet which I use at home via Wifi. There was no any problem, there was internet connection. But 1 day after it's gone. I'm connecting wifi (sees it, enters password and connects) but there is no internet connection. I surfed on internet to detect problem and all i found was 'changing wep to wpa' . (I'm using u.s. robotics 9106 as modem) But it didn't work out too.
When i turn on wi-fi i am using the internet from the Wi-Fi. But when I turn off the Wi-Fi,reconnects me automatically to the internet and turns off on second or third try.
my Blackberry Pearl 9105 connects to WIFI, however, when I open the browser, an error occurs, saying, that I have no internet connection. In the settings screen I've found that there's some problem with SVN.
My legend has connected to my router without any problems until the other day when BT had a problem and we were without phone line and router for 48 hours. When it came back, I was no longer able to connect with the Legend. My laptop connects wirelessly without a problem but I get the message: "obtaining IP Address.." and then it disconnects and tries again.
I am able to connect to my wifi and it shows with both a check mark and the wireless bars in the top right of my phone that I am connected to wifi but when I try to refresh apps using the internet or pull up the internet browser it says I have no internet connection. I have a tablet the connects to the same network with out any problems and has full internet access so it's something with my phone. I have tried forgetting the network and reconnecting along with resetting my network settings. nothing seems to be working.
I am going on holiday next week and this will be the first time I'm taking the phone with me (except in Switzerland where it remained in flight mode throughout). I want to ensure I don't get hit with any charges on my return.
I will be using the WiFi functionality as the hotel is WiFi enabled and I will be receiving/sending texts and phone calls. However, I do not want, under any circumstances, my phone to connect to the internet using the network as the fees are astronomical. How can I ensure that the phone only ever connects via WiFi?
After connecting to the guest WiFi at work, I try to login to the network and a padlock comes up on the screen where I would normally enter my login credentials. I can connect to this network with other phones and my tablet. My Droid turbo is the only device
I can't seem to figure out why my WiFi keeps turning on and off all by it self. Connects for like a 30 secs and then reconnects, then disconnects and reconnects.
Things I've done:
- Avoid poor connections is off. - Reset router. - Reset phone. - Disconnected and reconnect to router. - Router firmware up to date.
Is there a switch or something I need to do to have it connect to public wifi accounts? When we were in hotels with free wifi my phone wouldn't connect. It would find the wifi of the hotel to connect to, I would press connect, and then it would take me to a supposed webpage to "log in" for free but that webpage would NEVER load! And I would wait, and wait to no avail.
I'm running iOS5.1 on my iPhone 4. about 10 days ago (before I got the iOS update), my iPhone stopped connecting to my home network. It's able to detect it and the signal is strong but it won't connect. I'm able to connect to Wifi everywhere else (at the library, my friend's house..etc). I've tried rebooting a couple of times, renewing the lease, reseting network settings, forgetting the network and reconnecting to it. Nothing seems to work so far! I've also tired restarting my router..
...(Time Capsule i.e.). It does not connect to the allocated Airport Express Stations in my house (3G connectivity is just fine). No such problems with my new iPad and Macbook as the do connect to the nearest Airport Express or Timecapsule..
My Wifi Base is a TimeCapsule and I have 2 allocated Airport Express stations to extend the range within the house...
I had a problem with my wi-fi (said "error" or rebooted everytime I tried to turn the wifi on), so I copied all my crap to my pc, and did a factory reset. Now my phone just reboots every few minutes.so I grabbed an image to go back to factory, and used RSD lite to flash it.
Just recently my Wifi has stopped working correctly anywhere except for at home. The phone shows an active Wifi connection, but I can't get anywhere. It still works fine on my home Wifi. I have not made any changes to the settings and it is still set to use DHCP to get a dynamic IP assignment. I have tried having the phone 'forget' a network and relearn it
I have this problem for some time now (at least since the marshmallow update). If I move my Nexus 5 to a different place, far from the current Wi-Fi AP, it does not connect to the nearest saved AP, it only does that if I wake up the screen.
The Wi-Fi works properly when the screen is off, I still get the notifications and all, I just have to stay connected to the same AP. I have tried everything to find what is the problem, but I can't find it.
I did a factory reset, it was working again, but when I did the first time Google account login, it started again, even on safe mode.
I thought I corrected it by doing another reset and not recovering my account , but when installing some apps it started again.
Every time I think I found the app that causes the problem and uninstall it, the Wi-Fi problem eventually returns and I don't know what to do more.
What I have found out is that even uninstalling the app I think is the culprit, the Wi-Fi only works again properly if I reboot the phone, so maybe I have not found the app, and the Wi-Fi only works properly because I rebooted the phone?
The apps I have on my phone are the same I have in my Nexus 7 (2013), and with all those apps, the Wi-Fi works properly on the Nexus 7.
Is there anyway to know if is the phones fault, or some app (that makes the Wi-Fi not work properly on the Nexus 5,but not in the Nexus 7)?
had the phone 2 days on 02 and already been told by them that Internet doesnt work on w995 and 02 (great move) now i am having problems with wi-fi i search and find 5 networks near me, 3 are password secure, but two are open, security none and i connect to it. green icons comes up tells me i am connected but then when i go to iplayer or internet get the wifi error (commuication error, try again, turn off wi-fi contact service provider)but if the neighbours btopenword is open surely i should be able to connect through that as its not password protected even thought its not mine? any idea whats wrong?
I just bought the Xperia Z3 plus and tried connecting to my home wifi, what's happening is that it connects but with the exclamation mark next to the wifi icon and no internet activity. However, when I move about 2 rooms away the exclamation mark disappears, my wifi signal drops abit but I get activity. I had the Xperia ZR before this one and the was no connectivity issues...
I have a new iPhone 4 and i am having difficulty joining my wifi at home, at work it connects straight away but at home it won't recognize the airport connection and states could not access cellular data network. I have tried all the usual resetting network connections etc?
When my C6-01 is connected to my home wifi, Ovi Store allways connects to my operator's data network. If I set the phone to "Offline" mode, it's not possible to download anything from Ovi Store. Why is that? Wasn't Ovi Store supposed to work on offline mode, without a data connection, when wifi is available?
My daughter (who lives in another town) and I just switched from Samsung Mesmerize to Electrify phones. We both have D-Link DIR-655 routers in our homes. Although we had no problem using wifi with our old phones, the Electrify searches, connects and then immediately disconnects. I've spent hours checking out the router software as the admin, checking on line to see if others have reported this and I've tried every combination of options on the Electrify. We're both running Win7 and both use our routers successfully on other wireless devices in our homes.
