For whatever reason my e71x no longer displays wireless networks. I have no made any adjustments to the device that should cause it to no longer register wireless networks. Any idea on possible fixes?
View 4 RepliesI just picked up a MiFi 4G device and I carry it at all times. However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?

So, I got my iPhone 4s brand new from apple.com (UK) on christmas day, from then I had no problems at all with the iPhone although a week or so ago I lost my connection to WiFi. When you go to Settings>WiFi usually you will be given quite a few options ( your own WiFi and neighbours), this has always worked for me but now it doesnt, I get the message 'Could not scan for wireless networks'. I've looked in the forums for resolutions but nobody seems to have any although this problem is popping up for quite a few people! I dont have access to an apple store for help from an assistant which makes my situation even worse! I have never dropped my iPhone 4s and have never put it in water either, so has anybody ever had this problem and found a fix? I have also tried reseting my iPhone completely and done the same with my wireless 02 router! Turning on and off again, most things you could think of i have tried!

My v9m no longer displays to the screen.. the phone works, the screen gets dim power but I can't see anything. I want to use MPT to pull the contacts and messages off of it, but I can't navigate to Tools->Bluetooth->Find Me in order for MPT to discover the phone because without the screen I don't know the exact menu order.Can someone with a Sprint v9m click through the menus and let me know the sequence of buttons to push to activate the Find Me ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've already done a hard reset, and I've also reset my network settings, but my wifi is still having problems. Also, this is for every single wifi spot. Whenever I go to the wifi section in my settings, my iPhone 4s will continue to search for wifi, and it won't stop! If I try to connect to the wifi by using the "other" (which you have to type in the name of your wifi), a message pops up saying "could not scan for wireless networks". Another thing to add is that it's not my wifi because none of my other family members have problems connecting to the wifi on their iPhone 4s'! I am at 1.1 gb of my 2 gb monthly allowance while I still have 20 days left, and I also just noticed that since this problem started, my phones battery life is shortened 2 to 3 hours!

several days ago ice cream sand self-istalled to xoom. since then I can no longer find full listing of directory on my pc. tried vista, xp and win 7 machines. --i see 15 or 20 directories, believe ones that came with xoom a year ago. but I have much information i can no longer access, to adjust directories or add new files. -----files are still there, and i can use them VIA the XOOM, but not with pc. -- important files i have got into xoom via DropBox.

Had my HTC Desire for about a week now; brilliant phone Although the battery life is not poor (lasts about a day and a half/ two days with little use), when I check to see what is draining the battery, it seems to always be maps that is the culprit, even though I am now (knowingly) using the maps application or GPS etc.
I have done a little research and it seems that is could be the 'use wireless networks' option that is causing this so I have just now disabled this and will see how it goes. Any reasons as to why maps might be showing up as using the largest (if not, second largest) chunk of battery power?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone will no longer automatically connect to saved WiFi networks. It knows they're there, because if I go to Settings -> WiFi, it shows up in the list as a "saved" one. Tapping on it and selecting "connect" does nothing. I have to turn off the WiFi and turn it back on, and it will then automatically connect.
Additionally, WiFi will not stay off. If I'm some place I don't want it to connect to WiFi, I turn it off so that I don't get messages that networks are available (specifically when I'm driving, it's really annoying to deal with that over Waze).
I've got a Sprint GS5, running stock (not rooted), on 5.0. No updates available for the phone. It does this on every WiFi network I have saved (home, school, and school apartment, among others). I've also tried turning Smart Switch off and on, it makes no difference for either issue.
I got my iPhone for Christmas, and it was connecting to available WiFi, switching from 3G to WiFi, fine until May. I have tried the recommened resolutions on the Apple site, such as Resetting Network, turning on/off WiFi, but none have worked.

Up until two days ago I could connect without any problems to my home wireless connection however now every time I try it says it failed to require an IP address. I have tried rebooting it and the other tricks that usually work such as turning on and off the connections but nothing is working.

I set up my hotmail on the phone and it was working fine. I then deleted that account but on the home screen am left with the subject line of the last message, but cannot get rid of it, or open it. When I select it, I simply go to the email options screen with sync, settings etc.How do I get rid of this and start again?Also, is it possible to set the phone up so that hotmail only displays on the 'personal mode' and that my work email only displays on the 'work mode'? If so, how do I go about it?
My work email (IMAP) I got all the settings and details from the IT department, and whatever I (or they) tried to do, simply wouldn't allow me to connect to my account and receive messages. Has anyone else had this? Is there some trick that I haven't been using?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIve had my X6 for a whole 2 days now and I am already freaking out at it.It has replaced my iphone and so i wanted to sync all my music onto my phone.When doing this with the Ovi player it tells me that all my music (about 2,5k songs) has been synced onto it. When trying to play it with the musicplayer on the phone i can only access about 700 songs. I have already plugged it in as a mass storage device and checked on the actual memory and all the mus IS present, the player just doesnt show it.I have already upgraded the phone software to the newest one (1.64 i think) i have also checked that the music is all in the same format (mp3) so that shouldnt be a problem.

When I first noticed it I did a hard reset using *#7370# which made it go away, but it returned next time my phone restarted after it upgraded an ovi twitter app.
Hi, I have nokia 5800 Xpressmusic and I have problem with my wifi. I recently bought it and I cant get wifi networks on the same place that I got 5 networks with my old phone nokia e51. At home I could get 5 networks in my building and now with my nokia 5800 I can't get any of this. It says network not found, my neighbor have a wifi router and with my nokia e51 I had 100% signal now i have (some times) only 20% on the samo place that I had 100%. Can anybody tell me what is the problem???

Opera Mini Browser displays the page correctly. Nokia E61 Native Browser also displays the page correctly. Tried another web connection (i.e. different router etc) but problem persists.
