I just got the 9360 Curve and the store sold me a the 9760 holster for the Bold and my phone does not turn off when I put it in the holster. The website says the 9370 holster is the one for this phone, are the holsters phone specific?
View 1 RepliesI can't turn off wireless syncing on my Curve 9370 so that I can sync using the Blackberry Desktop software. The directions given suggest going to the Calendar application and/or Contacts application on my phone and "press the Menu key then Options and then change the Wireless Synchronization field to No." But, that is not one of the options in either of the applications.

If so, do i have to adjust this option for every sound (i.e. MMS, e-mail, alerts, etc)?Or there an easy way to adjust these settings? I'm not very familiar with the BBs so please be gentle.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWith my old BB Bold, I had my phone set to vibrate for messages and phone calls when in the holster. When out of the holster, I had the phone ringing with my personal ring tones while everything else vibrated.
I cannot figure out how to do the same with my new Curve 9900.
I am receiving no notification of incoming text messages. Contacts will ask me why I didn't respond to a text. When I check the box, the message is there and marked as read, but I never received any notification of receiving it. I have had the phone 2 months and this seems to have started about a month ago.
I have not installed any 3rd party apps other than the ones provided by Verizon. I have not configured it to receive email. I don't use it for Facebook or any other social networking app. I have tried a number of battery pulls.
I am trying to add a second exchange mailbox to a Curve 9370. I read a post from last year stating that this is not possible without using a Blackberry Exchange Server.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from a Bold 9000 to a new Torch 9800 with the new OS 6.0. On my Bold I could set one ringtone for In Holster @ one volume and a different ringtone @ a different volume for Out Of Holster within the same profile. So far this seems impossible with the new operating system. Seems I can only set one ringtone and one vibrate for each profile. Am I missing something?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded the new update for my Blackberry Tour, and I have noticed that my phone is not remembering its settings (im assuming). When I have my phone holstered, it only vibrates twice and does not ring (though I have it set to Always for the ringtone) for my MMS/SMS messages. When its out of holster, it will only do the default text messing sound. I am not sure how to fix this though I have rebooted it twice in attempts for the settings.

I've had to change my BB for a new one, and some settings aren't the same.When an email comes in, I like to see which folder it's in then choose to open.It's opening the email when I take it out of the holster.

I have spent all last night trying to find the option of AUTO SLEEP / key lock when in holster but to no sign of option any ideas or is it now an APP i need to buy? very lost and dissapointed if so can any one help thanks.using side button to lock key pad but was very happy with it locking when put away.
View 10 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded from bold 9000 to 9700. I upgraded my OS to version .743. After that, I stopped getting visual voice mail notifications. The message is there when I dial "1", but doesn't show up at all under the VVM menu, nor do I get the visual indication(s). It did work on the AT&T OS out of the box. Second issue with this O.S.- phone does not lock when it is in the holster. I have to believe both these issues are with the .743 version of the OS, but I may be missing something. I've read others with the VVM problem, not none of the threads seem to offer a solution except to say that AT&T WAS having issues with this back in November.

I just got this phone and only had it for one day. It was never dropped or taken outside or exposed to any moisture I do not see any reason why this is happening.

View 12 Replies View Relatedi have the curve 8520...it was working earlier today I changed my sim card so I put my phone shut off. After this when I switched on my hand set.. then I found a battery symbol with a red x and the phone is not booting OS. I am not sure what that means but my phone won't turn on and won't charge. I tried taking the battery out and now it turns on but the symbol is still there and the loading bar is on the screen and it won't change. I also took outmy sim card & memory card.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi decided to backup my phone as i had not in a while.It was perfectly fine when backing up and when i downloaded my pictures.A notification came up that my software was not up to date so i pressed check for updates.My computer found one update and i proceeded to update it.After the update my phone appeared to be completely wiped.I wasn't worried because i had done a backup.I proceeded to restore my phone.at one point it became frozen at a certain point.the cord became unplugged accidental and i gave up for the night.i plugged it into the wall to charge it and went to sleep. when i woke up the screen was completely white and it said "app reset". i restarted my phone but it wouldn't turn on.once it did it took about 20 minutes just to fill up the restart bar. after that it took about 5 minutes before it proceeded to security software verification but wouldn't load.the small black black arrow will not leave the screen of my phone.the software security wont update and i am getting very frustrated.at the moment the software security is still going and is only at 8 percent after this it doesn't proceed any farther but simply turns white and says app reset. i have now been through this process twice and just have my battery, sim and micro SD chip out and my phone is sitting next to me.

Seems like to me it's flashing 2 longer flashes then 2 small one straight away. Continuously repeats this with 20/30 seconds between each.
