I am new to the BB...and I was playing around with it the other day and I changed a setting and I can't figure out how I did it...and now I have to change it back!I need to make the setting in my "Normal profile so that it doesnt' automatically go to vibrate in the holster.I can't find where I changed it!

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy boss has a BB Curve 8530 and she wants to set it up to vibrate only in holster and ring outside of holster. Is this an option I can set up in Profiles? If so, do i have to adjust this option for every sound (i.e. MMS, e-mail, alerts, etc)?Or there an easy way to adjust these settings? I'm not very familiar with the BBs so please be gentle.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that when I do a reboot on my 9700, the custom settings I have for vibration (i.e., in holster) under the Normal profile get reset to default. Seems to occur on the items in the "Other" section of the profile.I set the vibration to off for nearly all entries. After reboot, they reset to Custom with a vibration count of 2.I'm also running BerryBuzz - thought maybe that was the software causing this. But some of the entries in Other have (BerryBuzz) written next to them; others do not. Yet they all seem to reset to default once I reboot.I'm running 5.0.0.405
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to really reset the BB to the factory settings?I am running 5.0x firmware, and the Options/ Security Options/ General Settings/ Menu/ Wipe Handheld function is not present anymore! (I saw it when I had 4.6.x..)So I tried this (from Mac, as on XP I can't locate the loader.exe file): http://www.blackberry.com /btsc/ search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB18998 but it actually did not really clean my BB, it kept for example all the apps I installed which are the reason why I would like to reset the BB! it also kept the 5.0.x firmware, while when I got the BB it had the 4.6.x firmware. I really would like to go back to the original status. any suggestions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from a Bold 9000 to a new Torch 9800 with the new OS 6.0. On my Bold I could set one ringtone for In Holster @ one volume and a different ringtone @ a different volume for Out Of Holster within the same profile. So far this seems impossible with the new operating system. Seems I can only set one ringtone and one vibrate for each profile. Am I missing something?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded the new update for my Blackberry Tour, and I have noticed that my phone is not remembering its settings (im assuming). When I have my phone holstered, it only vibrates twice and does not ring (though I have it set to Always for the ringtone) for my MMS/SMS messages. When its out of holster, it will only do the default text messing sound. I am not sure how to fix this though I have rebooted it twice in attempts for the settings.

I was really impressed with the phone at such a cheap price since I am a teen, the 8520 is perfect for me. But I downloaded a few apps which I can use at home when theres wifi but i cannot use the Twitter, Facebook, UberTwitter apps when not at home (No wifi). Does anyone have the same problems? When i try to log in or connect without Wifi, It does not connect. And on Ubertwitter, The app keeps running but it doesnt connect to gprs/wap. Anyone have the same problems or know how to change the settings so that i can use the apps with GPRS/WAP Please give me your suggestions and/or solutions/help.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWell i noticed when i got a call from my gf the picture came up using her fb profile pic which was always so blurred! So I remember changing it to another picture and selecting it to show up as the caller id picture and to overwrite anything that would change it.
However now , it also changes her bbm picture and it would not change even if she changes it herself now her bbm picture is stuck as well.I forgot where i went to change this overwrite picture setting...
is there a way that i can change the settings on the Messages and send like emotion or change the theme on it?

I've had to change my BB for a new one, and some settings aren't the same.When an email comes in, I like to see which folder it's in then choose to open.It's opening the email when I take it out of the holster.

I cannot figure out how to do the same with my new Curve 9900.
Just upgaraded from my old Pearl to 8520 OS 5 and as always ordered a now holster to keep it safe in. I have spent all last night trying to find the option of AUTO SLEEP / key lock when in holster but to no sign of option any ideas or is it now an APP i need to buy? very lost and dissapointed if so can any one help thanks.using side button to lock key pad but was very happy with it locking when put away.

I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?
