BB Curve :: Phone Wont Turn On Even After Reinstalling Battery
Apr 21, 2011
I've had the Blackberry Curve 8520 for about a year and a half and today it suddenly switched off and won't turn back on. I've taken the battery out and checked it and it cant be the battery because I had full battery.
After removing and reinstalling my original battery and sim card on my curve 8310, I lost everything including my contacts and calendar. I am devestated and wonder what happened. When the battery was reinstalled and the phone auto restarted, I lost my desktop and knew immediately something bad had happened. It restarted with the original factory settings. I never made any setting changes. The reset happened automatically.
i have the curve 8520...it was working earlier today I changed my sim card so I put my phone shut off. After this when I switched on my hand set.. then I found a battery symbol with a red x and the phone is not booting OS. I am not sure what that means but my phone won't turn on and won't charge. I tried taking the battery out and now it turns on but the symbol is still there and the loading bar is on the screen and it won't change. I also took outmy sim card & memory card.
I got the new facebook app with push updates, and the other update that came after (3.1.1?) and it worked well for a while. But now I don't seem to be getting facebook notifications anymore. I still get mobileMe notifications, which I believe come through the same system? Which was the whole point to save battery power?
I've tried turning them on and off in the settings place, and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it on my iPhone (not iTunes). When I launched it again, it didn't ask permission to send me notifications, which if I remember it did when I first installed the update? I expected it would have asked as when I uninstalled it it said all the data would be deleted, such as the permission to send notifications?
No idea if any of that's relevant, but I'd quite like to get notifications again if anyone has some tips .Also, there's no way to get notifications from facebook without pestering friends and looking a bit sad asking for comments is there?
I have this issue regarding my Lumia 1520. I already notice for a week that even my phone shows 50% up of battery life it just suddenly shut off after it shows Battery Critically Low. I already doe using Microsoft recovery tool but still not able to solve. I try also do hard reset but still didn't resolved the issue.
Sometimes my phone does this thing where sometimes it says its charging, but it isn't. That occurred around 45 minuets ago. I pulled the battery, like I always do to fix this problem, while my phone was at 2%. When I went to turn on the phone, the phone was un-responsive and would not turn on. It wont even show the charging icon. Just a black screen.
Last night I let my battery die. Not on purpose, of course. It was at 4% and I was actually walking over to the charger when I got the goodbye message and the phone shut off. I tried to turn it on, but I just got the low battery sign. I remember this happened on my old phone, so I just let it charge for the night. Unfortunately, when I woke up this morning it still wouldn't turn on. Didn't even get the low battery sign. Soft reset does nothing. Both of my computers did not even recognize that anything was plugged in. The only thing is, last week when I charged my phone I got a message saying something along the lines of your phone is charging slow because you're not using the stock charger.
my battery drained and my phone turned off. I went to my carrier and they did a battery swap and now my phone wont turn on I only get the red light in upper right hand corner.
I bought a 8520 last month and I am using the telephone with the italian language. By mistake I had cancelled some pre-installed apps like DocsToGo and I reinstalled them by ising Desktop Manager. At the same time I got the chance to cancel the languages I don't need. Since then I have problems with the date format: date format should be in the european standard (DD/MM) but it always appears in the US one (MM/DD). This happens only on the desktop, clock, and phone call list. Otherwise sms and calender are correct. I have 4 languages installed at the moment on the device (according to the language option list): Italian, English, English (UK), English (US) and German. With all those languages I have the problem with the date, only if I choose German it's correct. I have been advised to update the firmware, but unfortunately it didn't help. I have also unistalled some third party programs but it also didn't help. Theme is the standard one and no new one has been installed. This is quite an annoying issue, even though it doesn't dramatically affect the usage of the phone. I did a backup before installing the DocsToGo apps.
I left my charger at home when I was on a trip and my blackberry's battery was running low. I didn't turn it off and when my curve died, i assumed it was because the battery was too low and it died. When I got home I tried to charge it to the wall charger and.. nothing. Not even a blink on the LED. I left it for the whole night thinking it might take some time. The next morning i tried to switch it on, and nothing happened. I tried a battery pull and it also failed. I took out the memory card, sim card and battery, assembled them back after 30 mins and still nothing. Without the battery, when i put it the wall charger to the USB, there was a 10 second red light on the LED and the screen showed the no-battery symbol, so my charger is well and fine. I checked my phone and there was no water damages. Tried connecting it to my PC and nothing happened. Been using this curve for the past 5 months and this has never happened before.
My phone keeps regularly crashing/freezing- and keeps requiring me to pull out the battery and put it back in and restart! Its annoying and i believe that in the long run this might be damaging my phone. This happens/has to happen often, and also, even within the same day few times! e.g. - if I am texting people, suddenly it may freeze and requires battery pulling out! I do have a few applications, and about 4mb free on the phone on average (currently 7mb). I am on latest firmware.
Yesterday, my Bold 9900 battery was completely drained so I put it on charge overnight. The LED light was flashing yellow. Now I can't get the phone to turn on at all. This has happened before but after removing the battery and putting it back in the phone turned on. I've tried pulling the battery today but nothing happens, just the LED light flashing red for a few seconds then going back off
The small clock kept showing up in the middle of the screen on my blackberry. A vzw rep told me sometimes I need to reboot my blackberry because its like a computer. So, I took the battery out and put it back in to reboot it and it won't come on. A white blank background will show up with the small clock in the middle. Then the screen will go black with the small clock in the middle and the red light blinking.
I fell asleep last night with my phone on a low battery, I wake up this morning and put it on charge, the led light holds a red light (not flashing) for around 15/20 seconds then nothing.
I can't turn my phone on.For the last week, every time I plugged the charger in, the screen would go white, and then a battery with a red cross through would show up.If I removed and replaced the battery several times then eventually it would reboot, I took to a phone shop yesterday and they unscrewed the phone and re-screwed it together again, and the battery sign didn't appear again and appeared to be working fine again. However, last night I attempted to charge the phone again, and the battery sign appeared again and now will not go off. The phone is completely useless. I've tried a new battery, with no luck. What should I do?
I've recently purchased a 8520, I've not had it for long but already it isn't working.I removed the battery the other day andante it back in, from this point... It will not turn on, when I charge it, it just shows as 'Charging'.
My blackberry curve does not turn on after i took out the battery, when i connect it to my computer via USB the red lights blinks one time then three time and it continues like this.
Sunday night I went to bed with a battery that was at least 80% charged. I had my alarm set to wake me up the next morning. I have no idea if that has anything to do with the battery possibly getting drained. As far as I know, I didn't have any apps running either. Anyway, Monday morning I woke up to a completely dead Storm. I tried plugging it in, but all I got was a red light for about 10 secs, the screen went black & then a white screen with a battery in the middle appeared with a red slash through the battery. I've tried everything from a battery pull to even taking a risk & dropping it on the floor & still nothing. I even went & bought a new battery but that's not the issue either. No matter what I do, I still get the same result. It's not the chargers cause I've tried both my wall charger & USB charger.
I got a Samsung Galaxy S5 yesterday (moving over from a windows phone) and it's taking some getting used to. The lack of a 'silent' function is annoying, but the part that is strange is the fully charged notification.
I suffer from insomnia and I finally got to sleep last night, only to be woken up by the phone vibrating to let me know it was fully charged. I wasn't able to get back to sleep for hours then, and I'm dreading it happening again tonight! How can I turn this notification off?
My month-old Blackberry Curve 9300 won't turn on. I plugged it in - to the wall - to charge earlier today and at that point it seemed fine - when I went back to check it, though, the screen was blank with a red light. I've tried turning it on, but the loading screen comes up, loads a tiny part of the way, and then a blank white screen appears, then I get an icon of a battery with a red cross through it.
Around a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).
I was just intializing the phone for the sync to the laptop. And well, the Blackberry software froze, and then the phone won't turn on. It won't turn on despite my touching any of the buttons or any recharging.
I just got this phone and only had it for one day. It was never dropped or taken outside or exposed to any moisture I do not see any reason why this is happening.
