I have this issue regarding my Lumia 1520. I already notice for a week that even my phone shows 50% up of battery life it just suddenly shut off after it shows Battery Critically Low. I already doe using Microsoft recovery tool but still not able to solve. I try also do hard reset but still didn't resolved the issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI updated to WM10 10586.29 and now when my battery gets to 70% To 75% it will drain down do 2% in an hour. I have location, Hey Cortana and most background apps turned off and still get the drain. Also I just noticed while charging it takes forever, but when it get's to 40% it goes up to 100% in less than 10 min.
View 24 Replies View RelatedLast week I wrote regarding my Lumia 1520, not turning off. As a summary, power bottom doesn't work, nor does the reset option. It freezes and glitches constantly, and the only way to turn on the display is by pressing the camera and volume down button, can't turn it off either. I was advised to reset the phone to factory settings, which I did, however problems still persist. I'm wondering this might be a hardware issue.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently dropped my Nokia Lumia 1520, and the top left of the screen is cracked pretty bad, but usually that doesn't stop a phone from working.. When I dropped it the screen froze for about 5 seconds, then randomly shut off.. This is the only phone I have, and insurance is still $200 to replace, and I wouldn't have that for a couple months. I was wondering if there was a way to somehow power it on?
I believe the battery still works, because sometimes when I try to turn it on, the flash blinks, and it gets hot if I leave it on the charger. It doesn't respond when I plug it into the pc, so I doubt it's the display not working...
I'm having a prob my battery drains about 10% in a hour in my 1520 ... When I was in w8 for the last month I had better backup after going to 8.1 latest I experience it.. Is it a software prob or my battery... Sometimes its normal sometimes it drains a bit..within 20 min from 100% it got now to 87% ....

I have researched online and I know about 'thirsty' apps but the only ones I have installed are the only ones I have ever used and I never had an issue with battery drain before. Phine is approx 5 months old bought brand new.
Today, for example, I unplugged it from its charge about 5 minutes before I left home, never used it in that 5 minutes and when I looked at it, the battery was on 97%.
Today my Lumia 1520s battery level suddenly dropped 89% to 81% in 10 minutes, then I made a soft reset and the battery level was 82%. Again after 15 minutes I took a look in the battery level and it was 73%.

Yesterday the battery got really hot and it kept showing resume on the screen. I turned it off and then back on and it was fine. Other times it acts like the back button is being pressed all the time, and sometimes the phone is just unresponsive to anything. Restarting it seems to fix it but only for a short time.

It was at 4% and I was actually walking over to the charger when I got the goodbye message and the phone shut off. I tried to turn it on, but I just got the low battery sign. I remember this happened on my old phone, so I just let it charge for the night. Unfortunately, when I woke up this morning it still wouldn't turn on. Didn't even get the low battery sign. Soft reset does nothing. Both of my computers did not even recognize that anything was plugged in. It looked legit, says Nokia, came in decent looking packaging etc. It doesn't matter how long it's plugged in for, it won't go past 80% charge. Battery performance is good, at least compared to before the replacement. I'm just wondering if the phone is just reporting it wrong, or if there is something wrong with the battery.

Then if I slide to enter password, the first number i touch once will be entered many times in milliseconds and the device will give me that i entered wrong password. If I lock and unlock the screen it will return to be responsive correctly to my touches. This happens to me many times daily and lately it became more frequent.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI removed the bloatware by simply uninstalling it. Bluetooth off as well as any app that may drain the battery. I could go 24+ hrs before a recharge with minimal usage, but generally beat my phone up on a daily basis between 6am to midnight using Instagram, Facebook, phone calls, texting, Pandora, camera, and youtube and still have 40% battery life.... But that was before 8.1 and Cyan.... Now, at idle it drained 25% in 4hrs sitting next to me while I'm writing an essay!? I did the hard reset, I scrutinized the background apps, I have turned everything off and still draining as I have described....

I have the latet windows build 10586 on my phone now. Is there any thing that could be done to solve tis issue. My battery back was just awesome under WP8.1.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had Denim on my 1520 for a while now. (UK CV). Yesterday, I had extensive usage of the phone and it slipped into battery saver mode at 20% - an abnormal occurrence for me.
Anyway, when Battery Saver enabled, the backlight behind the Back-Start-Search keys went out. And I was using the phone in the dark, walking home.
Upon regaining power, the lights came back again.
I tweeted Lumia on the mysterious occurrence which definitely did not happen in Cyan. Their response today seemed to indicate a fixable software thing - soft reset, see what happens. I have yet to try that.
An easy way to see: Enable "Now until next charge" in Battery Saver. Doing this on mine immediately extinguishes the backlight on the capacitive keys.
Having problem when use phone streaming youtube or use camera several shots sometimes cause my phone suddenly shutdown. Before shutdown battery critically low popup appear. When I boot back the phone battery still have 30~50%.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI got a Nokia Lumia 1520 last week. Coming from an HTC One (M7), I am still impressed with the smoothness of Windows Phone OS -rarely I get any loading for an app. Moreover Metro has come a long way since the days of ZuneHD.
However I got a slight problem with the date/ time. Both the date and time gets reset back to 20 July 2013, 03:00 after the battery runs out or I try a soft reset.I already tried:
1) Setting the time on manual; it will reset back to manual time and the date/time above.
2) Setting the time on automatic, will still get reset back to manual and the wrong date/time.
3) Instead of setting the phone on 4G, I used the 3G and automatic. Same as above.
4) Setting the date manually and then to automatic, keeps the date/time I setup manually.
5) Turning the device off and on again (not soft reset with the volume key) will keep the date/ time regardless if it was set manually or manually and then automatically.
I just added a 32GB SD card to my Lumia 1520. I'd like to move some of the items that are on my phone (photos, music, files for work, etc.) onto the card.
Also, I've seen threads on here that mention issues with music that has been moved to the cards not being playable. I have enough issues with my phone giving error messages on the music app now without adding another complication.
