Lost 1% overnight off charger. 3 hours of relatively heavy use earlier like running Antutu and Basemark OS II, setting up home screen and apps, and lost only 11%. Very impressive, getting better battery life than with 8.1.
I updated to WM10 10586.29 and now when my battery gets to 70% To 75% it will drain down do 2% in an hour. I have location, Hey Cortana and most background apps turned off and still get the drain. Also I just noticed while charging it takes forever, but when it get's to 40% it goes up to 100% in less than 10 min.
First of all I should say that i can't download anything from the market since August (or something like that), Zune's Team is trying to solve the problem since last week, but nothing worthy until now...
On the other hand since Monday but battery life has changed, and even with the full battery the prediction of time (displayed on settings menu) until it becomes empty is about 16 hours, nothing more. Before that I could see a prediction of more than 40 hours, and the phone used to last that long. Now, with the same applications, etc. it decreases drastically, should i send the phone for warranty?
battery run out very quickly. I had it charged last night and when I got up in the morning it was down to 35% from just sitting there. It might have been updating email but that shouldn't kill the battery like that. I don't use it that much during the day but it seems to go down really fast. I'm currently at 47% and it estimates 1 hour left....
My Lumia 900 is getting really poor battery life and can barely last a full day with minimal use. Under moderate to heavy use the phone doesn't last more than 5 hours. I have done two hard resets already and its still the same. It appears others have the same problem.
I purchased my Lumia 610 about 2 weeks back, and I have not gotten a full day (24 hours) of work out of it yet. When charged to 100%, it shows 16-19 hours of battery life. My usage is typically around this:1 hour on the phone.15 minutes of Twitter. 15 minutes of browsing on 3G. No bluetooth/ WiFi/ Internet sharing on most days. Manual brightness setting. Battery Saver on. Dark backgroundLocation settings off. Email refresh after 1 hour. XBox signed out. I can't think of anything else I can do to reduce my power consumption. I'm using the firmware version 1066.0000.8779.12201, which according to my Customer care is the latest firmware version. Nokia claims a 720 hr standby time on 3G, which I am nowhere close to.
Iíve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 188.8.131.52), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., Iíve noticed that Iím down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and recíd two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
Iíve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of ďturn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,Ē but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.
I've downloaded the app tag editor on my old phone and my new Icon. After downloading the app both phones saw a dramatic decrease in battery life. They both decreased from 1 day 15 hours estimated battery life to just 15 hours. I've uninstalled the app and done a soft reset and the problem persists.
I had my red 920 since 11/9 and it has been great until this Tuesday. Previously the battery was great and after full charge it usually showed battery life 1day or even longer. This Tuesday I used camera a lot. The handset did get warmer because of flash and focus assist lamp. After that night the battery darin rate became really fast. After one overnight charge 100% battery only shows 9hours and drain rate was like 10% per hour. why this occured suddently? Do I need to reset the phone to factory?
I've had my Lumia 710 for a few months now and over the past week the remaining battery life percentage is way wrong. For instance, one day I noticed my battery icon was really low so I went to check the % and it said it was -4%. I was even able to make a 10 minute call and it never died on me. A few days ago I had about 70% but when I checked the phone a few minutes later it was around 10%. A few times I've even had it die on me and it never gives me the critical battery warning. This morning it was dead when I woke up so I brought my charger to work. After charging only 30 minutes it said I had 57% battery. But now 4 hours later I'm sitting at 98% and it looks like it won't go past that. Is something wrong with my battery or could the battery life indicator just be way off?
I updated yesterday to OS 4 on my 3GS and now my battery life is draining much quicker now. After limited use my battery level after 6 hrs is 40% when it used to be around 80%.Anyone else experiencing this problem?
I have an iPhone 4S. I bought it with iOS 5.0 on it. Then I upgraded to 5.1, then to 5.1.1. Prior to 5.1.1, I had excellent batery life, just like Apple describes it on its website. Now on 5.1.1, which I just installed 1 week ago, I have absolutely terrible battery life. I get about 3% battery drain per hour on standby. When using it, i get 1% drain every 2-3 minutes, on any app. I have tried restoring it to factory defaults, then restoring it back to my backup, 2 times, yet still no difference. I am not a heavy user. It seems that my problems started right after 5.1.1.
I bought a new battery on eBay and had it installed. It looked legit, says Nokia, came in decent looking packaging etc. It doesn't matter how long it's plugged in for, it won't go past 80% charge. Battery performance is good, at least compared to before the replacement. I'm just wondering if the phone is just reporting it wrong, or if there is something wrong with the battery.
I have this issue regarding my Lumia 1520. I already notice for a week that even my phone shows 50% up of battery life it just suddenly shut off after it shows Battery Critically Low. I already doe using Microsoft recovery tool but still not able to solve. I try also do hard reset but still didn't resolved the issue.
I always use WhatsApp web. Before getting my Lumia 950 I used Android: when I received notifications on WhatsApp web the screen of the phone remained off so the battery wasn't suffering much.
On WP I first turned off the notifications on lock screen: then I realized it wasn't even making sounds nor vibrate! Then I turned the banner in WhatsApp notifications settings off: now the notifications are there without turning on the screen, but I have no banner even when the phone is unlocked.
Is there another way to prevent for every app the screen from turning on when locked and a notification arrives, and show normal banners when unlocked?
I have just got my Lumia 800 and seems pretty fancy. But still one thing which really bothers me a lot. The battery life! I have update to WP7.5 on day 1. System information as below:
OS version 7.10.8107.79 Firmware version : 1600.2487.8107.12070
The thing is, I unplugged the charger at 9 in the morning and when it came to around 9 in the night. The battery is critical low. I just made few calls, text and no more than 10 mins twitter stuff and the battery is done? My iphone could even stand for 1 day with this usage. I tried everything, reset the fone. But seems not working.
i am.almost 50 % of battery gets drained out by phone idle & cell standby . it doesnt even work for 24 hrs when m nt using gprs services n the brightness is also low. How to increase the battery life .
I got my Z3 in March and when I got it I loved its long battery life. I'm a very heavy user of my phone and managed to get 8 hours of screen on time out of it in between charges. I'm not sure if it has been gradual or sudden but I've noticed that lately, the battery life on my phone only lasts for about 3 hours of screen on time. I use my phone for the same things as I did when I first got it.
When I got my phone it was preinstalled with 4.4.4, I got the 5.0.2 update in mid-april and I got the 5.1.1 update a few days ago.
The battery of my iPhone 4S started to discharge more quickly after I downloaded iOS 5.1, but before it was OK. My location services, notifications, push and wifi are all off, but even if I don't use my phone, the battery life is shorter than it was before.
I have a IPhone 4s and before 5.1 had no noticeable problems with my battery life. After upgrading it has went down hill horribly. I got 5 hours, 15 minutes of Usage and 9 hours, 49 minutes of Stand by at 2% battery life left. I only use manual email, no siri, no bluetooth, minimal 3g and Wifi, about 40 minutes of talk time.
Since installing the 5.1.1 update my battery life has been dramitically reduced. Chragring time has also increased which confirms the update is carring extra luggage. I had 5.1.0 running about a day and a half before needing a charge. Now its holding a full charge about 4-5 hours before it shuts down.
