BB Curve :: 9360 All Of A Sudden Square Scroller / Button Has Stopped Selecting
Nov 22, 2012
I have had a Blackberry Curve 9630 for just over a year now, and all of a sudden the square scroller/button has stopped selecting and when I try to scroll it doesn't move around as easily as it had done. Now my Blackberry keeps restarting itself and when it get to my background it doesn't let me scroll/select anything, it just reboots itself again. I have left the battery out for around 5 minuets and then put it back it yet the problem is still occurring. So I was just wondering what I can do to get my Blackberry fixed, it has a 2 year guarantee on it.
I was trying to select multiple contacts in my bb9360 just as i used to do it in my Nokia. But there is no option to select multiple contacts and delete them with a click of button.
sister recently had to bring her bb into the shop as the scroller stopped working. the phone was sent away and she was giving a new bb but now her bb isnt connecting to any internet connection and her bbm isnt working but she was still charged for her bb bolt-on !! any one any advice on what she could do? its a blackberry curve 9300 purple phone that is 02 network.
When I select the envelope icon for new e-mail messages, I got forwarded to the missed calls listing. The same occurs when I select SMS, it also goes immediately to missed calls. What should I do? Removing the batt when power on has been done already but no help.Is there somewhere a code to reset my device? Maybe another method without loosing my data, settings, and messages?
carrier: koodo model info and os version: blackberry 9360 7.1 bundle 722 about a month back, my blackberry stopped vibrating. all of my settings on all my profiles have vibration enabled, and when i did a factory reset of my blackberry, the issue was not resolved. battery pull does not fix the problem. all default applications facebook google talk twitter yahoo messenger windows live messenger wikitude Internet
my 9360 kept rebooting itself yesterday. i looked up another forum and i worked out that it was because it needed a critical software update.the update itself took all night, then when i woke up this morning, it asked me to 'verify the data' and then it went on to 2 loading bars, with the bottom one saying 'overall backup process' and it has now stopped dead on 13%, with the top bar saying 'social feeds'i have tried turning it off/on again and again,i have tried rebooting it a couple times by taking the battery out.it still turns on and comes to this screen where it does not respond to any buttons (apart from lock, but it goes black and then comes back on again within about 10 seconds)
I have a BB Curve 9360 and recently the middle cursor button on it has not been working as smoothly as it once was. It takes several presses in for it to work, and I will often have to press it in quite hard. I am unsure of why this has happened, because I have not dropped the phone or let water or other substances into it. It could perhaps be dirt? I have tried several battery pulls.
The profiles button on my phone keeps stopping working, it wont respond when I click on it. Ive tried the small button on the home screen and the larger button on the menu, this has happened before but usually starts working agan after about an hour but it hasn't been working for a full day. It definitely isn't my scroller button as it is able to select everything else.
In some games, PS1, Play optimized and emulators the square button will suddenly stop working in games. The button is fine as it works outside of games, but if I reset phone settings it works okay everywhere again.
The camera on my x8 has stopped working all of a sudden. When I turn on the camera, the screen looks pixelted, and when I take a picture the screen goes black. I just updated the software today (4 may 2011) and it has not fixed the problem. Will I have to take my phone back to the shop to have it sent away?
My blackberry bold 9900 has all of a sudden stopped charging and when I plug it in it says that its says that the charging source cannot connect to the device. The led is flashing yellow, like its charging and in the battery symbol is either the fully charged plug symbol or two letter maybe C B And now my blackberry software is not responding on the computer because it says my blackberry is not connected.
the 'a' button has mysteriously stopped working on my keyboard which is a real hindrance. In case it was a software issue I tried to restore factory settings, but I have to enter the word 'blackberry' to do so, and I obviously can't type that!
My blackberry scroller wont click or scroll! I have phoned blackberry and they want to restart it so I wanna see if there is anything I can to fix it to prevent them doing that!
I tried taking out the battery and clicking five times, it works but it broke again then that didnt work again! I also tried putting a piece of tissue between the sim card and the battery and it work but again when is stoped it wouldn't work again!
I have taken to battery in and out soooooo many times and I left the battery and the sim card out for the whole night and part of the day!
For the past few months, my scroller has been sticking and freezing, but i have managed to fix it everytime by pressing down hard or doing a battery pull. Also, the screen would just randomly turn white and then the phone would restart. The white screening was getting unbearable, so i did a software reload through desktop manager and since my scroller won't work at all. It wont select or scroll.
Yesterday around midnight my phone suddenly stopped working. I wasn't using it, it was just sitting on my desk and had been for at least half an hour.
When I boot it, it stays stuck on the boot animation.
Until yesterday it was running a custom built version of CM12.1 (from this thread: [URL] ...
With a ElementalX-N5-4.09 kernel.
I tried:
Reflashing the ROM Wiping and Reflashing the ROM Wiping and Reflashing the ROM, without ElementalX Wiping and Flashing an older version Wiping and formating of user data too + Reflashing complete reset by doing fastboot oem lock/unlock flashing of the factory image of Android 6
Each time the result is the same. When the phone was still running cyanogen I had adb while it was booting (that's no longer the case) and I saw nothing striking ... it would have one (pc) screen worth of log (logcat) and then nothing it would just stop. I couldn't spot anything in kernel logs either (dmesg/last_kmsg).
The recovery is working fine ... I was able to start an ssh server and use it... it's just android that won't boot.
My Curve 8520 's e button just stopped working, doesnt work no matter how hard you press. Sometimes will get assign speed dial to e or if i'm texting a capital E but it is completely random. Also at the same time when the screen times out it is unresponsive, the screen wont come up until you press any button many many times, found out that holding any button down will also make the screen reappear after a few seconds, also if you turn it off, the power button wont turn it back on, you have to take the battery out to get it on again, otherwise it works fine.
all the buttons have stopped working on my phone it started with a few of the not working like the n button the o button ect and the the other day all the buttons just stopped?
I recently got a blackberry from ebay and set it up on PagePlus. I got the phone around December 20 and activated it the 21st. The internet worked fine! All of a sudden it stopped? I'm wondering why did it stop? I have plenty MB left.
so I was using the torch and all of a sudden the pinch zoom function stopped working (in or out)I figured maybe I hit a series of keys to shut the setting off? I can zoom in/out via a double tap on the screen, or by using the mouse
