I am selling my 8900. Tell me what steps should I take, like taking a backup, copying my contacts etc etc. Can someone pls guide me step by step. Pls also tell me how "wipe handheld" works. Does it ask for a password? what does it delete and what it does not?
I'm selling my 3g and have someone lined up to buy it next week. I know the new iphone uses the micro sim card so there's no need to pull mine. Do I just set it back to factory settings or what do I need to do before handing it over to the owner?
Now that I have my iPhone 4 pre-ordered, I need to get rid of my 3G. It is currently not unlocked (to my knowledge), but it is jailbroken. What steps should I take before listing my phone for sale on eBay to ensure none of my data is on the phone, and to get maximum value out of it? Is there any easy way to reset it to factory settings? Is there an easy way to unlock it (I'm assuming this will add value)?
I am trying to replace the screen for my 8520 but am a bit confused because the version number reads as 004/111/112 and I cant find anyone selling this version number anywhere. A lot of people are selling 004/005 so I was wondering if that version is compatible or not. If anyone has had the same problem or knows of a solution I would greatly appreciate any help.
I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?
Just got myself a BB 8900, however it dosent seem to have any device memory, i have looked under memory in the options menu and it doesnt say anything about device memory and when i connect it to my PC i cannot find the phone on my computer unless i have a memory card pluged in,

I recently purchased a blackberry 8900 and am trying to upgrade the software to the newest version (5.0 I assume). However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.
Hello everyone, i have a serious problem with updating my OS. am currently using the 4.6v and i want to update it to v5.0 but every time i try to update it from desktop manager it seems that it cant find the files to update it, it just show the old version4.6 and i tried download the update from many websites and it still doesn't want to show it on the Desktop manager. And when i tried the application loader it says the i have the latest software and its still v4.6
The 3G issue has made the phone simply unbearable to use. I plan on keeping T-Mobile, actually happy with their service. My question is if I put Nexus One up for sale on ebay what will be my costs?150 to google *unsure how they would know the phone was sold*+?
Am I correct that each nexus one is essentially unlocked. Even though I bought it with a plan, if I get another unlocked phone and take it to a T-mobile store will I have to extend my contract? Better question is if I buy another phone under T-mobile will they extend my contract? I'm looking at the HTC HD 2 pending Microsofts conference on Monday.
We've all been struggling to get through Apple and AT&T's servers since 4AM this morning. I've just been trying to get two 16GB iPhone 4's, preferably white, for me and my wife. With enough perseverance, I managed to wrangle one (1) pre-order for black 16GB iPhone 4 from AT&T's Premier site, and it luckily shows "processing." At the same time, I also managed to grab two (2) reservations for black 16GB iPhone 4's at Apple's site, one using their website, and one with the Apple Store app (which, by the way, was extremely fast).
The bottom line is I have an extra reservation (possible because of two Apple IDs, I guess?). I'm still aiming to preorder the second 16GB iPhone 4 at AT&T, if the site will let me.Come launch day, the lines will be long. The stores will be crazy. Someone is bound to walk away without an iPhone 4, and someone will want one bad enough to pay money for it. If you had an extra reservation, would you sell it?
I'm selling my iPhone 3G 16GB today for $200 and moving to Verizon and the Droid. I'm going to miss my iPhone dearly but AT&T is bad in my area so I'm forced to switch. When they deactivate my iPhone, what do I have to do before selling it? Do I simply do a "restore as a new phone" with the current OS? I dont want the person that's getting my old phone to have my emails/contacts/credit card etc.Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'll be selling my new 3GS (hopefully for $400) and buying a iPhone 4. When I did this with the 3G to 3GS, I just swapped SIM cards in the iPhone at an AT&T store. With the iPhone 4 using a smaller SIM card, how is that going to work? Hopefully I'll sell my iPhone 3GS this week and then I'll be waiting for a couple of weeks for the iPhone 4.
I skipped the 3gs but when I got the 3g the only places to get the iPhone was apple and at&t. Now you have apple, at&t best buy, radio shack and walmart.I think alot of people will still go to apple and at&t but having it available at these other retailers should still curb the lines a little bit.
I have the BlackBerry Curve 8900 for AT&T and I have recently noticed that there is a 5.0 Update for basically the most recent BlackBerry's that have came out and I wanted to know if I will be able to get this 5.0 Update because it looks much better then the regular Version you get when you get the BlackBerry Curve 8900.
I trying to update my software to 2.1 but it doesn't seem to work.I tried with PC Companion as well as Update service.I follow the steps, when it asks to hold 'back' button down and plug in USB, thereafter it doesn't do anything. The window that comes up to give those instructions, diassapears and then the previous window remains but nothing happens.
I can load ovi maps. I can connect to the satelite to get my position. When connected to the satetlite, you get a first screen. If I type in an address, or use a favourite stored location, and select "drive to" or "walk to", the phone will calculate a route and the voice will start to give me directions. A second screen then loads by default to a 3D view where your position is represented by an arrow, and a blue line shows the route direction. The phone essentially behaves like a standalone GPS at this point. However, after a short while as popup shows to say something like "this will take a few moments". After this, the voice and route features shutdown and the screen is returned to just the 2d positioning map. I would like to get the "drive to"/"walk to" route calculation with voice direction to stay on (obviously)?
Was disappointed to have my first lock up after only a few days use, but in the process of the freeze, my steps for the day has been recorded at 37,000. Is there a way to delete this? The reason why this is frustrating is that it has completely knocked out the scale on the wellness screen(as my max is usually around 15k steps).
I'm a new user to BB device. From Blackberry webpage and manual, they stated that if we wish to update our device OS, we can either update through the web (Desktop Manager) with our computer or through our device itself via service provider (Wireless update).
If I have downloaded an OS package and wish to update it manually, what are the steps for this purpose and how? Please someone explain in brief, will appreciate that and how am I to ensure that the previous version of OS is removed? I'm currently reading about how to backup my data and 3rd party data, once I'm clear with everything, will proceed with the upgrade.
I will probably upgrade to a larger capacity SD card and I was wondering what steps I should follow. Nothing in the user guide apart from showing you how to pull out the card.
Can I just take out the card that comes with the phone and put in a new one?Are there some files on the card that comes with the phone that must be copied over?
I recieved the Motoactv for Christmas. I was just getting into using it for daily routine baselines when the calorie and steps stopped displaying on the time screen. I noticed this occurence in the morning and thought it was a daily reset issue and it might clear it self. However, 2 days later the steps and calories are still not displaying. I was thinking I could have accidently changes a setting. I have played around through the settings and can't find a selection to turn those on or off.
I'm building my own website / business and I have an email set up with Windows Live Mail. I can send & receive with no problems from my desktop.I'm trying to enter the same entries from my email accnt into my BB so I can receive emails.
In the last few days, my Motoactv shows now steps or calories on the watch face. In addition, when I start a walk, the steps remain at 0 even when using the GPS
I have an iPhone 6 plus and recently purchased the Jawbone UP Move. The issue I am having is that both my Jawbone and healthkit are writing steps data to the dashboard. This is causing step counts to be extremely high. Additionally, the Jawbone is duplicating steps that it delivers to healthkit. So what I am seeing is duplicate Jawbone + Healthkit steps in my dashboard. Is there any way to turn off Healthkit from counting steps?Â
My BlackBerry's screen is white , i do a battery pull ,it still stays white.Does that mean my BB got Nuked and that I should follow the steps to fix a nuke blackberry?
