View 1 RepliesWas disappointed to have my first lock up after only a few days use, but in the process of the freeze, my steps for the day has been recorded at 37,000. Is there a way to delete this? The reason why this is frustrating is that it has completely knocked out the scale on the wellness screen(as my max is usually around 15k steps).
I recieved the Motoactv for Christmas. I was just getting into using it for daily routine baselines when the calorie and steps stopped displaying on the time screen. I noticed this occurence in the morning and thought it was a daily reset issue and it might clear it self. However, 2 days later the steps and calories are still not displaying. I was thinking I could have accidently changes a setting. I have played around through the settings and can't find a selection to turn those on or off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the last few days, my Motoactv shows now steps or calories on the watch face. In addition, when I start a walk, the steps remain at 0 even when using the GPS
View 4 Replies View RelatedI must be busy this mroning. My Actv is reading 31343 calories burned and 2887 steps. Anyone else having funkiness like this? Just sync'd and it really messes up my Wellness charts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't imagine this hasn't been asked before, but my search-fu isn't doing too well on these forums. How does someone reset their calories burned and steps taken on their motoactv? Mine says something to the affect of 1200+ steps and 2000+ calories burned... but I imagine that's because it was in my car when I went to and from work. I never used it beyond that and testing at home.
I'd imagine the factory reset will do it, but I don't want to have to start all over again. You would think there would be a simple button to reset those stats.
Is there anyway to turn off the steps and calories on the clock face? I don't really care to see that.
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy motoactv would count my claps as steps. I was able to reproduce this issue and wonder if anyone is experiencing this problem with their motoactv or if mine is defective?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI see that people say they use the MA as a watch. Perhaps it's a problem with my unit, but if I wear the MA as a watch, no Bluetooth, no music etc. I have it timed out at 15 secs (makes a boring watch) and the brightness guite low... it never lasts the whole day before I have to recharge it. Seems a bit pointless having a "watch" that runs out of power before the day is through. If you use the MA simply as a watch (ignoring the silly steps counter which can't be turned off!) how long do you get?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm also having a problem with this device. I don't know if it's a battery problem or not and I think it started happening after the latest firmware update. I haven't been able to run to give it a try but just using it as an every day watch, it shuts off at random times and the only way to get it back up is to connect it to a power source. When I restart the device, it shows the battery at what ever level it was at before it shut down. I also notice that the date and time have been resetted.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhile trying to remove the Motoactv from the wrist strap the screen went to some sort of boot screen listing the version and something about plug in with usb cable. I am always careful not to push on the buttons when removing the unit from any of the mounts. It would not respond to anything I did. I even tried plugging it into the computer via usb. Nothing! Finally I just held down all the buttons until it turned off. When I powered it back up everything seemed to work correctly. How did this short happen and how do I get my watch out of the wrist strap?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt would be nice to be able to lock any screen, not just the workout screens. For example, I like to wear the Motoactv as a watch. You can have the it dim the screen, but not go off, if you tell it not to timeout the screen in workout, and then do a walking workout. However, when I touch the watch by mistake, it goes to my timepiece setup screen. Locking it at any screen would solve this. Also, having a dim mode to save the battery for watch use would be nice.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have dropped my wireless network and readded it but the watch never gets anything downloaded to the website. Since June 16 it has not performed a successful sync and nothing in my environment has changed and the watch is around the house a lot. Be nice to get this fixed too.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I get all my planned routes (set up on MOTACTV.COM) to appear in the "Planned"menu on the watch.I've set up a number of running routes via MOTOACTV.com under the >Planning>Routing menu.I then set up a training plan - ie to run one of the routes today.I then sync'd the watch & expected that they'd all appear when I selected WORKOUT>RUNNING>PLANNED, but only teh one (ie the one in the training plan) appears. Is it possible to have all planned routes on the watch, so I can at the start of my run pick the one I want to do? or does this all have to be done via the website?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just received my Motoactv today and just finished all the settings, etc. It works fine while I am just holding it or sitting it on the table.. But, When I place the motoactv in my Watch or clip the back button will not work, as soon as I remove it from the watch or clip the back button works..
View 6 Replies View RelatedPlease note a couple of minor bugs.1) Date displayn the options of the MotoACTV device you can set the date display format to the ISO unambiguous yyyy/mm/dd format, which is what I prefer. On the motoactv web app Under Display Preferences/Data Format, there is only dd/MM/yyyy and MM/dd/yyyy. Please provide the more sane unabiguous yyyy/mm/dd format so this can be consistent.) Display Units My Display Units are set to Metric. However on the MotoACTV web app when I select Workouts/Latest Workout/Workout Stats, the distance and pacing are recorded in km, but the elevation shows in ft. I am not sure at this point if it is the 'ft' label is wrong, or the actual numeric display and/or conversion is wrong, but you guys I'm sure can figure this out. You can verify this here:

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my display settings so that the display goes off after 1 minute. This works when I activate the display and navigate around, the screen then goes off after 1 minute based on the last touch. But if I just hit the power button or shake to wake the display, and I don't touch the screen, then the display goes off after a few seconds.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to keep the display on and not timed to go off? I generally ride or run a few hours and would need the display to stay on to be useful.I also would like to use it as a watch but that times out also and turns the display off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like the watch to show the time continuously without the display getting off. I managed twice the display to show down the time but I can't recall how I did it?
View 7 Replies View Relatedbeen reading forums on exporting workouts (rides) and seem to be missing something:
where do i find the .csv data files to upload to SportTracks? What I am really trying to do is convert files to .gpx (or .tcx)so I can add rides to Strava.
If this can be achieved directly to Strava...The Motoactv watch will become a hit in Australia, giving the Garmin Edge solid competition.
I have oceania maps loaded, though the display is blank on the device... it tracks and shows position during workouts, just the background is blank.
Today is my rest day. However, when I sat down to organize my training schedule for the coming week, the schedule was showing a weight training workout completed today. It appears that last Sunday's workout is displaying as completed today. This kind of thing was happening shortly after the big software update in March. This is not the only problem I am currently having and I am bouncing around multiple threads at this time. I reiterate, I am happy with the new features included in the recent update, but I am not so happy with the basic functions that seem to have gone awry in its wake.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to stop the display from timing out? I'd like to attempt to wear the MOTOACTV as a watch most of the time and keep the watch display up with a low brightness to minimize battery usage.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe date and time display in the upper left corner is blurred together. The device did not get wet. Also, I turned it off and back on and still no change. Are there any other suggestions? I am running the latest software.
View 1 Replies View RelatedTime in upper corner is more annoying than anything, but would still like to remove it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the settings you can select what you want to display. I know that the distance in miles is displayed in the upper right corner all the time but it is so small and I don't wear my glasses when I'm running so I can never read what it says.
Is there a way to select the distance in miles as one of the four metric settings you can select to have displayed on the workout screen? If so can you tell me what it is called because when I select the "Distance" settings that isn't it. And I have no idea what "Distance - Stage" is but I tried that and it didn't show the distance I ran as one of the four settings in the center of the screen either.
Right now I have the pace selected and when you tap on it it fills practically the whole screen so I can read that without my glasses. But I want to be able to read how many miles I have run.
For the past couple of weeks, I have had some problems with the HR display. The device will show my HR shifting rapidly from up to 209 BPM down to 0BPM and occasionally to no reading at all. This usually happens at the beginning of a workout and goes to normal after several minutes. I keep my chest strap very clean so I know that it isn't dirt and sweat disrupting transmission. When it first started I assumed that it was a sign of a dying battery but changing it didn't make a difference. This only happens during running and aerobic activities. With weight training and yoga there doesn't seem to be a problem.
View 5 Replies View Related1) what "stages" are and how they're used? There is nothing in the manual about them.
2) Is there no way to have the live data screen display the total time and distance since the beginning of the workout? It appears that you can only choose lap, stage, or zone time.
How do I change the display in my motoactv to metric units?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just did a run and, looking at it on the portal, the map location displayed when inspecting a particular section of the run is incorrect.
Motoactv is at 1.7.2 N16, normal sampling rate.
The pause in the run at 10min30 should be at the intersection of kerney and filbert which is the highest point of the run. The map displays it at Filbert and Medau Pl
