my motoactv would count my claps as steps. I was able to reproduce this issue and wonder if anyone is experiencing this problem with their motoactv or if mine is defective?

Was disappointed to have my first lock up after only a few days use, but in the process of the freeze, my steps for the day has been recorded at 37,000. Is there a way to delete this? The reason why this is frustrating is that it has completely knocked out the scale on the wellness screen(as my max is usually around 15k steps).
I recieved the Motoactv for Christmas. I was just getting into using it for daily routine baselines when the calorie and steps stopped displaying on the time screen. I noticed this occurence in the morning and thought it was a daily reset issue and it might clear it self. However, 2 days later the steps and calories are still not displaying. I was thinking I could have accidently changes a setting. I have played around through the settings and can't find a selection to turn those on or off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't imagine this hasn't been asked before, but my search-fu isn't doing too well on these forums. How does someone reset their calories burned and steps taken on their motoactv? Mine says something to the affect of 1200+ steps and 2000+ calories burned... but I imagine that's because it was in my car when I went to and from work. I never used it beyond that and testing at home.
I'd imagine the factory reset will do it, but I don't want to have to start all over again. You would think there would be a simple button to reset those stats.
Is there anyway to turn off the steps and calories on the clock face? I don't really care to see that.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am currently using a variable stride elliptical trainer Precor 100i.When using device with watchband, the step count always shows zero.When using the device with armband, the step count is very inconsistent depending on the orientation on the arm (i.e. 40 50 % Difference Between workouts).When using the device with the hip clip the device is consistent within 5% which is good enough.In regards to the watchband. The directions say to not place your hands on the stationary part of the Elliptical.That make sense and since my hands are on the moving parts of the Elliptical I would assume that the multi-axis accelerometer would not have an issue keeping the step count.
I would also assume that the multi-axis accelerometer would not have an issue keeping the step count regardless of orientation on the arm (i.e. Up, Down, Side)I want to use the watchband so that I can get periodic updates on my workout intensity.
Is there a way to show a graph of the step-rate for runs on the website?
I added it to display on the watch during the run, but once uploaded to the site there doesn't seem to be a way to display that data.
Why now all of a sudden does my display show total step history instead of daily steps? How can I change it back to daily steps?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday looking into my portal, which I admit having been doing for a while other that for downloading the cvs. file to use with training peaks, thought, "new update for the device...probably new stuff for the portal", and guess what...yep, the motoactv team finally added steps and step rate (cadence) as a metric.Finally I thought, but is broken.The portal's able to show the amounts of steps taken but on the step rate it shows zero, and by zero I meant, no data whatsoever. I've been waiting for this to be added for to long.

I am having a problem where the stock music player stops playing after approximately 30 minutes. Several internet searches suggest setting the music player to never auto end in the task manager on the Droid X. Only problem is I cannot find where the "pre-installed" task manager app is located to check the auto-end list. My Data is saying I have used 5.5mb of my 200 mb plan. At&T says I've used 6.08 MB. I've reinstalled My Data Manager but it won't let me put in 6.08 or any decimal points. I like the layout and I'm wonder is there any data manager programs that are extremely accurate and will work sort of the same way?

These are all visible under the "Messaging" app (which I placed on the home page) and they have unread email counters at the top-right. I have setup my corporate account as my default on the "Email" app that's also on the home page. I was wanting to see the email counter directly on that home page for that account opposed to having to open the Messaging app.

I have a pop-3 mail account with road runner, do you know if the "Counter" works with that? It usually shows a number of how many emails received. Notifications are working however it doesn't show on the email icon, it did on the SGS2,. I tried sending you a PM, but your not in the Directory?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.
