I have a HTC Thunderbolt and for some reason I cannot get my phone to be discoverable, the bluetooth will turn on, but then when I check the make discoverable box it counts down from 120 secs.... then nothing, it unchecks itself and I have to do it all over... I have tried turning off my phone taking out the battery and such but no luck.
View 3 RepliesHave just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.

When I turn GPS on to use navigation or maps, it says "searching for GPS" and never locks-on. One time it did lock-on after 30 minutes of searching. What is the deal? Took it to the Verizon store and all they said was HTC Thunderbolt software update coming.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy LG G4 (H815, T-mobile) has suddenly started shutting off Bluetooth within 6-8 seconds of turning it on. I've tried power cycling, removing the battery, booting into Safe Mode, clearing the BT cache, clearing the entire cache partition, no joy.
It's running Android 5.1. I thought the phone came with 4.4 (I got it about 3 months ago), so maybe an OTA got pushed to the phone last week? I really don't want to factory reset and hope that works.
The bluetooth turns of automatically when i turn it on just after 10 seconds. And when i send a file also after short time it turns off by itself....
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been struggling with this issue for some time now, and haven't found any explanation. The issue is that if I am using turn-by-turn navigation software (that speaks directions) while my iPhone 4 is connected to a Bluetooth device, and the software hasn't given me directions for a minute or so, the connection seems to "go to sleep." When the next directions are issued, I miss the first part. For example, if the directions should have said "Get ready to turn left at Main Street," all I might hear is "at Main Street." Quite unhelpful!
Some details: I have tried two different navigation programs. I used MapQuest's free app for a while, and now am using the VZ Navigator app. Both had the same issue. I have also tried three different Bluetooth devices: a Plantronics Voyager headset, a Jabra headset and my car's Bluetooth speakerphone. All show the same behavior. Also, if I'm playing music through Bluetooth in my car, the problem goes away completely.
My conclusion is that the iPhone 4 is letting the connection with the Bluetooth device lapse when not in active use for some length of time, and it takes a few seconds to re-establish it. But that doesn't lead me to a solution. Anyone else experience this, and know of a fix for the problem? Is there any way to keep the connection alive without playing music, which I would obviously prefer not to do with a headset!
I'm having trouble with the phone disconnecting from the car once the phone has docked. The signal bars gradually fall away and the car asks if you want to re-connect. The manufacturers information (jaguar) states that the phone is compatible, but gives the version as 2.1. My phone is running 2.2.2, after updating a couple of months ago. My old Nokia 6300 connects every time and I can upload the contacts to the car's display.
View 6 Replies View RelatediPhone5 drops audio (music) playback to the handsfree built into my car. This happens about 40% of the time and after a few seconds. I have to disable bluetooth, wait and reenable. I've seen it drop after longer, but typically it's seconds into connecting and starting playback. Before upgrading to iOS 7.1.1 this never happened. Phone is placed in cup holder in center console so signal strength should not be an issue.Â
Not sure if the phone's handfree part would still work. I am suspecting that it does not.Â

This makes me lose a little bit of the audio each time. Is there some sort off Bluetooth optimization going on here or a tweak I can perform so that this doesn't happen anymore?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you enter a calendar event in the Thunderbolt and identify its duration as "All Day" and also indicate that it reoccurs every year on the same day, when you sync with Outlook the event will span two days in Outlook - the date selected AND the prior day.
In my situation my "Date & Time" Time Zone setting is set for "GMT -04:00, Eastern Daylight Time." But when I view the event in Outlook after a sync, Recurrence shows the following information as an example: Occurs every February 21 effective 2/21/2011 (GMT) Monrovia, Reykjavik.
I think this indicates that something is causing the data to be entered into Outlook under a different time zone and showing it as an "overlap" in my time zone.
If I enter an event as "All Day" but don't have it recur, the sync works just fine.
The apple logo appears for 5 seconds then disappears for 10 then appears for five and so on. I can get it to the connect to iTunes screen but as soon as I unplug it from the wall it shuts off completely. A laptop with iTunes isn't enough to power it up.

I recently noticed something has changed when re-opening my SMS app. It's now consistent when every time i open it, it takes around 5 seconds when it's empty and says "no messages found", and all conversations suddenly appear only afterwards. Extremely annoying to say the least. Even did a factory reset to try changing it but still the same.

This morning my screen will not stay off. Every few seconds it lights up for 10 seconds or so. It's completely frustrating. I've uninstalled every app I can think of that would have anything to do with custom notifications, screen lighting or the lockscreen with no success.
Between this and the phantom mail alert sound I can't kill I'm about to reset it factory defaults and set it up one app at a time to ensure I get it right.
Well I know of the HTC One battery issue but I have just had the weirdest issue. I have just charged my phone until it was 100%. unplugged it and opened an app. 3-4 seconds later my battery is 83%.
I already use gsm battery monitor and carat but these are reporting good battery life
Every email I receive thru gmail it vibrates, not just once but non-stop until I read or delete the mail. It vibrates every 5 seconds sort of like as if I had an incoming call.
Have searched this forum and elsewhere and have found answers on how to stop just one vibration, which others have had problems with, but even those tips don't work.
And the weirdest thing is it even overrides the silent function when nothing should vibrate. This only occurs with gmail. I have tried turning off ALL notifications for that account to no avail.
This is a replacement HTC One that I just received thru verizon. This only happens with gmail, no other apps.
Why is my S6 cycling on and off every 3 -10 seconds? Have tried safe mode, reset and factory reset to no avail.

I even activated it and deactivated it but no change. Cleared the messaging cache, cleared the browser cache, deleted almost all the texts, the little circle just spins 30 times before it finally sends it. What else could I try?

my iphone recently started re-booting itself every 30 seconds or so. this will go on all day until the battery dies. i have tried letting the battery run completely flat then re-charing it but it still continues to re-boot on and off the charger. i have also tried to updat my software and restore the phone using itunes, but in both cases when the phone re-boots it is unable to continue with what it is doing as the phone will not stay switched on for long enough to let it complete.
