HTC Thunderbolt :: Multiple Emails With Different Notification Sounds?
Feb 23, 2012
I need to be able to have different notification sounds for my Yahoo mail and my Exchange mail. I am using Go Launcher Ex if that makes a difference. I can't find any settings in either of these Email accts. to change the notification sound.
I usually have the GPS turned off to save battery consumption due to poor battery life. When I turn GPS on to use navigation or maps, it says "searching for GPS" and never locks-on. One time it did lock-on after 30 minutes of searching. What is the deal? Took it to the Verizon store and all they said was HTC Thunderbolt software update coming.
I am having an issue with my S5 ever since I got it. Multiple times throughout the day, I hear a notification sound (like I have a text message) but there is no notification of any sort what so ever whenever I review my phone.
I did not have the issue on my GS4, and I pretty much have all the same apps installed.
I have just changed phones from a HTC 610 to a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact.
In the days of my HTC's (3 of them) I used to always get a notification sound when I sent an SMS.
With the new Z5 Compact this does not happen, I do get a little message saying "Sent" for a moment and a little green arrow flashes up for a few seconds.
Not having the best of sight, or when outdoors, I am often unable to tell if the SMS actually went out. Is there a way to get a short tone to let me know that the message went out? I just can't seem to find a setting.
Not sure if this is an Android issue (current is 5.1.1, previous 4.2 and earlier) or if it is a Sony Z5 issue.
Over all the sound on the z3 is good. It's loud when turn up the volume on music and videos but for some reason the notifications tone is lower than when I select it to preview. I did check the audio settings and made sure the notification Sounds are at max. The clear audio etc. And it's seems like it's just a few notches to low.
Does anyone know how to create notification sounds on the One S? The manual was no help. I've added ringtones, some short enough to use as notifications, but for some reason I cant get any but the stock notifications
I have a Curve 8520 for a year and I've never had any trouble with it.Yesterday I noticed that the notification sounds aren't working. I haven't done any update or settings change, so I found it a bit weird.I've already checked the profile settings (they are all correct), I've also tried to downgrade the software version to BB4 but, after some minutes the sounds stopped working again. Then I went back to 126.96.36.1995 (1385) and still no sounds...The music player is working, the keypad sounds are OK... only the notifications are muted.
Is there a way to have the ringtone or notification sounds come through the headphones while listening to music? I know the music gets interrupted but it would be nice if it just rang in the headphones.
For the past week or so, and with a frequency of 2 to 3 times a day, I am receiving an audible notification tone (same as I get when I recive a text message), but when I pull down the notification shade, there is no notification of any sort there.
I have checked my email and Google Now, and notifications are off. I have uninstalled all recently installed apps. I have done a soft reset.
I really love my new Verizon LG4 coming from a Samsung S3. It picks up signal clearly where I had complete drops on S3. However, one thing has really annoyed me and I need to find a way to live with this.
The ring sound and text notification sounds are either both ON or both OFF. I have to leave the ringer on for various reasons, but then I get the text notifications all night long. Various volume apps I downloaded did not separate out the sounds. This is a really bad idea to tie these together.
I have tried playing with Priority Interruptions, but can't quit seem to get the phone to ring and the texts to be silent.
I use Google Play Music from my phone over Wi-Fi to listen to music in my car. Since I started using my Galaxy S6 my notification sounds get played over my car stereo. It interiors my music and I find it annoying. This did not happen on my previous phone. I can't find a setting to turn this off. I hope I'm just missing it.
How can I turn off the email notification sounds, but leave on text notification sounds in my Xperia Ray? I have searched the manual and the online support but only found options for changing the notifications for all messages which is within Settings -> Sound -> Notification Ringtone
I was delighted to see I can finally upgrade my Bold 9700 to OS6 and did so at once.Unfortunately I discovered all the pre-set alarm and notification sounds from the original factory settings are gone now and most of them have been replaced by rather lame ones. Is there any way to recover or download the old OS5 Bold 9700 sounds from a official (!) source?
No matter what I've tried, my 950 XL will not play sounds when I get emails. I've turned on "Play Sounds" in the settings, I've tried toggling between different email notification sounds, and still nothing. I also seem to be having this problem with Facebook Messenger. But no issues with texts, or things such as reminders.
I have a HTC One m7 that when recording video with the stock camera or using the stock voice recorder, the notifications for facebook, email, etc comes on and blares over my recordings very loudly. How do I keep the notifications from sounding on my recordings? I never had this problem with other phones before. shouldn't the notifications automatically mute when recording? This is a Verizon model .....
My question has to do with the stock messaging app. My carrier is verizon. I'm trying to apply notification sounds to each contact so I can tell who's texting me. I've applied the tone to the individual contacts, but when I receive a message from anyone, it is the same default tone. How do I override this and make it use the assigned tones per contact?
I am using a standard Galaxy S6, just downloaded the update yesterday with Verizon. Ever since then whenever I get a text message I have been getting my standard text ringtone as well as my default notification sound. Not sure at all how to go about fixing this. Looked in settings but to no avail. Tried resetting phone but didn't do anything.I found out through some trial and error that the thing causing the text notification ringtone and the default notification to both ring is having vibration turned on for texts. Turned it off and the problem is resolved.
