I've had my Atrix for almost a month and I installed the app called My Data Manger. It worked pretty good through Aug until the update. My Data is saying I have used 5.5mb of my 200 mb plan. At&T says I've used 6.08 MB. I've reinstalled My Data Manager but it won't let me put in 6.08 or any decimal points. I like the layout and I'm wonder is there any data manager programs that are extremely accurate and will work sort of the same way?
I have 3 email accounts on there, including Corporate Sync. These are all visible under the "Messaging" app (which I placed on the home page) and they have unread email counters at the top-right. I have setup my corporate account as my default on the "Email" app that's also on the home page. I was wanting to see the email counter directly on that home page for that account opposed to having to open the Messaging app.
I have a pop-3 mail account with road runner, do you know if the "Counter" works with that? It usually shows a number of how many emails received. Notifications are working however it doesn't show on the email icon, it did on the SGS2,. I tried sending you a PM, but your not in the Directory?
I Bought an iPhone 5c 2 weeks ago and am with T mobile for the first time. I use my phone mainly for texts, hardly ever for calling. My call history shows approx 30 mins of calls, even rounding up those of less than 1 min. However, the voice usage, shown in my settings is 1 hr 29 mins. How can this be? Are there other things that use voice data that I just don't know about? I have had no voicemail messages so haven't called voicemail. I have made no FaceTime calls. My monthly limit is 100 mins which I have never used before but am at risk of doing so if I can't work out why there is such a discrepancy.
what does the data counter on nokia x7 count? There are two things: all sent data and all received data.I turned off my wifi connection, and I didn't use my data at all (no browsing or anything) yet my data sent and received went up. Why is that so?
Is there a data counter on the Lumia 900 that I can't find? I've tried to call the 3282 data number, and it always tells me I'm at 0 even though I know i've been on the data network and not wifi. Also, can someone explain to me how much data something like the people tile/email account setup uses? I've never understood apps like that coming from suuper old phones. Is it constantly checking your email/facebook? On some time interval? I'd really like to set up facebook and such with the people tile because it seems really nifty, but I don't want to go over my 2gb plan. I just don't terribly understand how it all works, and i'd be willing to try it out if I could see how much data i'm using..but that goes back to my first question...In the past when checking email/facebook I'd always just use the internet browser on my old Nokia e71x, and it wasn't giving me updates in real time like I know this guy is capable of. I'd like to use it, I just don't wanna eat up my data plan.
Where I can find the n8 Data Counter, if exists?. I've read in many places something like this: " Data Counter: Open call log and tap on right tab to view data transfer log"... but i canīt find "the tap on the right".
Is there a data usage counter on the phone that I can check to see amount of data upl and download? I know att provides it but I want to check usage during my Intl trip to London.
I ran a marathon today and when I crossed the start line (stepped on the mat to start the running chip)I started my watch. A few seconds after finishing I stopped it. The watch is about 3minutes off from my chip time. why this would be different? Could the Marathon time not be accurate or is it the MOTOACTV. I have the 8 gig watch...it was fully charged when I started. 3 minutes is a big difference. I didn't lose any signal while running.
Pretty much every app/widget I've tried only gives me a report on the battery level in increments of 10%. Is there a way for me to get a more accurate report on the battery level?
I have unlocked AT&T Atrix 4G from the states, voice communication and sms are working fine over Vodafone GSM in Egypt, WIFI is ok.
Problem is in accessing the internet, tried with Vodafone different APN configurations but was unsuccessful and still cannot access my email's and browser.
I recently updated a bunch of apps on my phone that I have had for a while. I then started noticing that my battery would not last a half a day. It used to last over a day easily. Then today got a text saying that i have almost reached my 2gb data limit. So I installed the My Data Manager app and it is showing that the Contacts app is constantly communicating with something. I have an corporate exchange account for my email and contacts. How do i tell what is causing the contacts to constantly communicate?
I've a number of problems with ICS (too many to enumerate here). Furthermore there are a number of android OS apps in GingerBread that are not in ICS. Bluetooth DUN for instance. It's there but in name only. It has 0 bytes; the data, cache and the app itself. Its not limited to BT DUN as well, there are several others. I've read that ATT has flashed phones back to GB any comments, knowledge etc?
I am heading out for a trip in a few weeks and there is not a wireless connection where I will be staying. I am currently on the 2gb per month plan, and I would like to switch to the 4gb teathering plan ONLY for the month that I will be gone. When(before I leave for trip,at the beginning of the billing period) should I switch plans (both to the teathering and them back to the 2gb plan) and which plan will show up on my bill?
my wife and i both have the Atrix 2...and our bill from ATT starts over on the 24th of every month and i have an app for data monitoring to tell exactly how much data we've used (since we only have the 200M pkg and we have WIFI at house and work), on the 24th (the day that data resets) my wife got a notice from the monitoring app (ONAVO (which i recommend for everyone to try)) saying that a data hogger was using a lot of data. she checked and it said two apps used a TON of data (she hadnt turned her WIFI on yet or it did it in the car on the way home) in just a couple minutes. These two apps were "Rx Networks PGPS Seed Downloader" and "Phone" (whatever that "App" is.) so i quickly clicked the option in the Onavo app that restricts these apps uses to WIFI only. Now, i haven't figured out *** these apps do, but i only found a thing on the Rx networks one, but still not sure why all the data.

I figured i wouldn't search google for "Phone" app. that'd just be dumb.So anyway, the Rx networks app incurred 37.9MB and the "phone" app used 20.9MB.
my data connectivity very often turns off and won't turn on again by itself. For example when I wake up in the morning, I see the WiFi symbol and the network connectivity symbol. The data symbol in the middle (H+, E or G) is missing. It sometimes won't turn on all day unless I switch the airplane mode on and off.
I am looking for a way to lower my data usage. I am only using one email account and removed all the widgets and facebook. I just installed the app my data manager and I notice that something called RICH CLIPBOARD is what is using most of my data. Does anybody know what this is, and how can I stop it or reduce the usage?
i've owned an Atrix now for about a month and very time i save events and appointments to the calender within a couple of days they all dissapear the data gone.
I miss being able to easily send and receive images via text message.
This was a major way that I communicated with my farflung family. With the Atrix, I can't seem to get this to work without going to settings and enabling the data network for everything that might want to use it ( and that seems to be a considerable number of things despite my efforts to choose wireless only options.) I realize I can turn it on briefly to send (though that's a multi-step process) but there's no way to anticipate when an MMS message is coming in.
I got a text message from AT&T telling me they were gonna throttle me for using over 3GB. I have never used more than 1.5GB per month in my entire time with AT&T even having an iPhone for 3 years, usually not even 1GB.
why two separate data manager apps are telling me that Contacts used 2.6 GB in a month? What is Contacts doing? This is a stock app, part of Android. What can it possibly be doing all day long that uses so much data? This is like the icing on the cake of about 20 other huge complaints I have about this terrible phone.
I am shocked when I see good reviews on Atrix2 - there is almost nothing good about this thing. From the loud noise it makes when the battery is low (nearly deafens me with headphones) to the fact that it doesn't turn the screen on when a reminder goes off or a text message comes in - I just don't get this Android thing - why do I need to spend money to change settings like that? My 2003 Windows Mobile phone was more user friendly than this.
Also in the last month it keeps showing "com.motorola.services.main process shutting down" or something - constantly all day long like every 5-10 minutes of use. In the last few weeks the screen brightness has gone whacko - keeps getting bright and dim randomly. I can go on and on..
I was just curious to know if this is considered a known bug / will be fixed in the gingerbread update. After using wifi and walking out of the wifi zone (eg, out of my house and down the street) I will check my phone to find that the mobile data connection has not re-started itself, and only a reboot will fix this issue. Other issues have been my phone will get stuck only being able to upload (and not download the resulting pages/data) as well as the symbol disappearing completelyafter a little bit of research I found this may be a problem with 2.2.2 froyo and for my sake I hope it is, but I was just curious to make sure it is fixed in future updates.
How can I delete all of the contact data, without doing a complete reset of the phone? This needs to be done, occasionally, in order to freshly repopulate the contacts, and not end up with duplicates in the phone. The phone gurus at Best Buy and AT&T were also frustrated by the absents of this "Delete All" contact's feature.
So after upgrading OTA to 2.3.6 and performing a factory reset on my Atrix 4G, I've noticed that stock google talk app loses connection with the server after a few minutes while the phone is asleep. As soon as I wake up the phone, The network status icon is gray and within 30 seconds or so, the phone reconnects with the google servers and the icon turns blue again.
I've never had this issue before while on 2.2 and 2.3.4. I've made sure the app is always open and background data is enabled. Also my battery mode is set to performance mode so it should sync all day.
Sometimes in the middle of listening to online radio, sending photos over gmail, or updating facebook, my phone stops sending/receiving data.I correct this by resetting the phone. What's causing the phone to stop receiving data all of a sudden?
Since I got my phone in April, I've been experiencing this weird, random thing. Out of nowhere, my phone just loses the files stored in the internal memory/data of the phone. I have lost applications, pictures, music, and videos spontaneously.
What is your average data connection speeds? Yesterday I noticed that my speeds are severely lacking, especially when comparing to a HTC Inspire. When I called AT&T to inquire if my speeds were normal, the lady said no.After looking she said my SIM card number was wrong, again. This has become a frequent answer to most of the hiccups I've had since February.Side note, with this recurring SIM issue keep me from getting updated or will that be based on the IEMI?
