Where I can find the n8 Data Counter, if exists?. I've read in many places something like this: " Data Counter: Open call log and tap on right tab to view data transfer log"... but i canīt find "the tap on the right".

I've tried to call the 3282 data number, and it always tells me I'm at 0 even though I know i've been on the data network and not wifi.Also, can someone explain to me how much data something like the people tile/email account setup uses? I've never understood apps like that coming from suuper old phones. Is it constantly checking your email/facebook? On some time interval? I'd really like to set up facebook and such with the people tile because it seems really nifty, but I don't want to go over my 2gb plan. I just don't terribly understand how it all works, and i'd be willing to try it out if I could see how much data i'm using..but that goes back to my first question...In the past when checking email/facebook I'd always just use the internet browser on my old Nokia e71x, and it wasn't giving me updates in real time like I know this guy is capable of. I'd like to use it, I just don't wanna eat up my data plan.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my Atrix for almost a month and I installed the app called My Data Manger.It worked pretty good through Aug until the update. My Data is saying I have used 5.5mb of my 200 mb plan. At&T says I've used 6.08 MB. I've reinstalled My Data Manager but it won't let me put in 6.08 or any decimal points. I like the layout and I'm wonder is there any data manager programs that are extremely accurate and will work sort of the same way?

(it worked okay in may-june)when I try the SIM-card in my other phone (Nokia E52) it finds the 3G-signal directly without any problem.The settings is of course set to 3G, but I only get a 3g-symbol which is cross-out and no signal bar at the side. I have also tried dual mode but then it only finds the GSM-signal.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery so often on my N8, I get a call from "someone". All I see is the phone number, with no indication of who it's from. Then I find out it's from someone who should have already been listed in my contacts.
Is there any way to search through contacts by phone number? At least that way I'd know who the call was from, before calling back.
Also, is there anything to do (or not to do) that will minimize this problem? I have multiple phone numbers and email addresses for several people, but I didn't think that would create an issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI think there is a bug in 808 3g mobile data connection which causes the phone to turn off. It happened when you are in zero or weak connection. There is no problem if I turn mobile data off or use WiFi only. This is annoying especially if you use always on Whatsapp.

There seems to be a problem with the map upgrade. The data connection always goes on if I use the internet. Just browsing turns the data connection always on. I have been unable to find a fix for this. Unless I just reboot the phone or terminate the data link manually. There is no reason for this to happen. I am not running any program in the background that I can see that demands constant data connection. If it was, I would have disabled it long time ago.
But just browsing the internet seems to turn on the constant data connection. From what I can best tell. This started after I upgraded to the newest versions of map. It is my suspicion this has something to do with the new software that checks the location of the phone to gather information about local events. But I cannot find that program anywhere running to terminate it once it starts. But it is visible in the program add menu on where widget can be added to the home screen.
I installed an application on my N82. But when i start the application the phone asks a dozen times if it can read and/or write data from/to the memory card before it starts the app. Does Ny know where I can find the "access data" settings on an N82 so I can change it to "allow all"?

However when I am prompted to allow the one time download it proceeds with the installation, the phone completes the download then switches to "Installing" and finally the installation fails.
