View 3 RepliesI recently connected my Nokia 5800 to my bluetooth connection on my Windows 7 Ultimate pc of which downloads and installs the drivers from Windows Update. This works fine for the most part but i am left with 3x Bluetooth Peripher Device enteries showing in Device Manager and a Yellow Exclimation Mark located next to the Nokia 5800 device icon in Device and Printers but i cannot seem to find out what drivers are missing, even Windows Update find nothing for these entries.I have the latest version of Ovi Suite installed on my computer but this does not install any bluetooth drivers, I have the latest drivers for my Trust 16008 Bluetooth dongle but these 3x Bluetooth Peripheral Device enteries only appear when i connect the Nokia 5800 to bluetooth. I have also tried to locate the drivers from the support CD but this fails also.
I have tried looking on Nokia Discussions for a solution but it seems i am not the only person that is having the problem with these enteries in Device Manager and no drivers for them.It seems that Nokia has not released the relevent drivers therefor full Bluetooth Driver installation is incomplete.I would like Nokia to fully rectify the situation and explain why these drivers are missing and if they will be released.
I just got the phone and I want to connect to the internet via wifi. I tried to go on but it can't seem to find my wireless modem. Can someone please help me? I really want to download some apps for it!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a Nokia N95 for a couple of years now and sometime ago I found it more convenient to connect this to PC Suite using Bluetooth which gave me more scope to move the phone around to get a stronger signal as I use it's modem for my PC internet connection.
Following good practice I have always configured my PC's to have an Admin account and a limited user account for everyday use. Since using the bluetooth connection I find that as soon as I log out of the limited user account in order to log in as the administrator to install or update some software, I find I can no longer connect to the internet. It seems as though PC Suite cannot access the modem even though PC Suite appears to have connected to the phone ok. The only way I have found to solve the issue is to unpair and re-pair the phone which results in the Connection Manager reinstalling the bluetooth modem, which appears to reset / refresh things. Of course as soon as I log out of the admin user and return to the limited user I have to repeat the unpair /pair process again. I have been through several Nokia PC Suite updates which have completed without reporting any errors and have done fresh install when reinstalling XP but this has always been a persistant problem.I wonder if this scenario ever featured in any testing before PC Suite was released but it should be straight forward enough for anyone to replicate this issue using bluetooth.
I had hoped that when the new Ovi Suite option popped up within PC Suite that this update would have fixed this but unfortunately no such luck.
Windows XP SP3 and latest patches to date.
PC Suite v7.1.40.1
Belkin Bluetooth USB
My phone is Nokia 2730 classic and I have this software:
PC Connectivity Solution: Version 9.44.0.3
Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver: Version 7.1.23.0
Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP 32-bit Edition, Service Pack 3
Language: eesti
Language for non-Unicode programs: Eesti
Detected Internet browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 (Default browser)
- Mozilla Firefox 3.5
Detected Bluetooth stacks:
- Microsoft (Version: 5.1.2600, Build: 5512)
The problem is that I cant use my phone as an internet modem via bluetooth with Microsoft bluetooth stack (everything else works). I tried the BlueSoleil 6.4.299.0 driver and it works fine but I do not want to pay extra 19.95 euros for the driver.
I have a Nokia 5800 XM. I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery. But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. It says Un supported files.
Say for instance, I am trying to receive a docx (Microsoft Word) file, then I face this problem. Is there any way to save the file directly to any folder in memory without trying to open the received message?Had it been some protected files like .SIS or .SISX then I would agree, but It's bad if I am not able to receive general files.
I have an issue with my e72-1 at the moment. It's either the phone, the ovi software.I have the following: Nokia e72 < acts as modem via cable or bluetooth > laptop..When it acts over modem via either cable or bluetooth, I can only access certain sites eg.I can't access google, or msn messenger for instance
I can access wikipedia, and my ISPs website as an example.Originally I thought it was because it was only able to access australian servers, but this isn't the case. My browser just seems unable to get a connection to certain sites/servers ever - it times out when i try to view google - but only when my phone is the link to the internet. On the phone, I can access every site/server that I want. But not on my laptop via the phone. When I'm on another internet connection (home or work etc), I have no issues connecting to those sites/servers from my laptop.Browsing google over other connections has not helped me find a solution yet. The connection to the net is stable - it doesn't drop out and can remain connected indefinitely.I'm running:
Laptop version: windows7, with ovi 2.2.0.241
Phone version: 031.023
The results have been the same on earlier versions of the phone and ovi software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My E71 used to work fine in car hands free via bluetooth - now it pairs OK but then gives "unable to create bluetooth connection" message. Another E71 works fine.
I did try (twice) to e-mail Nokia care - each time I filled in all details only to get a Gateway timeout message when I tried to send it - and all details wiped out!
I was configuring bluetooth connection between my laptop and Torch 9800 and windows automatically configured my Torch as bluetooth modem and now I can use my Torch as a modem over bluetooth for internet access. This is a welcomed surprise as I was contemplating whether or not to spend 20 plus dollars to buy the tethered application but apparently there is this free option. This is probably not new to BB experts but I was so happy about this "new discovery" that I thought of sharing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia N8, and since a few months back it cannot find any 3G-signal. (it worked okay in may-june)when I try the SIM-card in my other phone (Nokia E52) it finds the 3G-signal directly without any problem. The settings is of course set to 3G, but I only get a 3g-symbol which is cross-out and no signal bar at the side. I have also tried dual mode but then it only finds the GSM-signal.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy old 5310 had no problems connecting through bluetooth or cable to my PC. Now I updated to a X6 and nothing but issues connecting. The bluetooth works sometimes, when it feels like it, when it doesn't work and I disable bluetooth on the phone, I can't enable it again, it just says something along the lines it can't execute bluetooth operation. First time I experienced it, I gave up and a little later I tried again, bluetooth enabled as normal and immediately connected and worked as normal.
Then I try to connect through USB cable, on which it only tries to find drivers (which it used to have when I first got the phone) and eventually I get a message the phone is still transferring files (which it isn't) and I need to enable PC Suite mode while that's what it's on. I think there's something very wrong with the software.
Nokia PC Suite, will not find my mobile phone when I try to connect it to it using bluetooth. I am using Windows 7 Starter.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery so often on my N8, I get a call from "someone". All I see is the phone number, with no indication of who it's from. Then I find out it's from someone who should have already been listed in my contacts.
Is there any way to search through contacts by phone number? At least that way I'd know who the call was from, before calling back.
Also, is there anything to do (or not to do) that will minimize this problem? I have multiple phone numbers and email addresses for several people, but I didn't think that would create an issue.
