I installed an application on my N82. But when i start the application the phone asks a dozen times if it can read and/or write data from/to the memory card before it starts the app. Does Ny know where I can find the "access data" settings on an N82 so I can change it to "allow all"?
My son is in the Netherlands, trying to find a mobile carrier that will give him data access on his Droid 3. First he tried Vodafone NL, with the negative results I reported here: url...To summarize, Vodafone NL says there is a bug in the phone that they have reported to Motorola (with no response) that causes it to read the APN info on the SIM card incorrectly. Vodafone recommended that he try getting a SIM card from a major competitor such as KPN.
So that's what he's now done, with the following result: whenever APN settings are entered in the phone, they are forgotten 3 seconds later. So data remains unusable on the phone. This is a new phone that worked perfectly on CDMA and Verizon, and was purchased specificially because of its GSM capabilities in Europe.Note that with both carriers tried so far, voice and SMS ends up working fine. It's data that he can't get to work.A proposed solution to the Vodafone version of the problem was posted that involves rooting and tinkering with the files on the phone. That is not an option for us at the moment.
I just got lumia 920 5days ago and now I can't access to my phone settings. Can't even go into settings to open wifi or other things.Tried soft reset also can't.Tried My Window Phone to remote erase phone also can't.Here is the link
Been thrashing around with an E-mail prob and found this setting.
Settings/connectivity/admin settings/packet data/access point = none
I don't think its of any significance to my problem seeing as my 5800 mostly works but I would have thought that something should be there. Anything to be concerned about?
Is it possible to configure the SIP settings on Nokia N8 to use Skype for making VOIP calls (in the same way that is possible for Voipcheap and Voipbuster)?I know that I can use the Skype app, but I was hoping to integrate Skype in the phone contacts just like I do with Voipcheap and Voipbuster.
I am changing networks and installed my new Vectone SIM. I needed to send a TXT to setup the internet. It changed some settings on my phone and gave me the options to make these settings the defaults which I foolishly said YES to.Previously I could connect to the internet via WIFI or 3G (it gave me the option before hand) however now it likes to force me to use the new 3G service (even with my old SIM fitted).I managed to get my old settings back, but they keep changing back when I turn the phone off or leaving the house.I also don't seam to be able to have WIFI and new 3G option menu.
Am I the only one that can not access to Vimeo via the nokia browser or opera mobile ?white page loops indefinitely.Amazing while the N8 channel on Vimeo works great...Have gou got a tweak ?

I found out that all the camera settings is not saved. For exampel i always want the grid displayed but then i have to turn it on manuelly every time. Same goes for the timer, id like it to be on 2sec so the picture not is taken as you push the button (shaky etc).
Probably more camera settings that not saved havent checked it all.
i have N97 mini. In Administrative Settings, there are three things that i am unable to find any reference on the internet. What is XDM profile, presence and net settings how and where they are used.
Is there a way i can set the resend time for txt? you know when the message failed to send it will automatically send message again after 5mins, but 5 mins is too long., i want it to resend after a minute or so. 5 mins and this resend became so useless to me
Just got my Nokia N8 on Orange and am having problems with accessing the internet. I can access the net using a WLAN without any problems but can't access the internet using orange.I've been offered this advice from Orange Technical services:1. Accept the Orange Software update (sent via text) - done2. Accept Orange GPRS WAP services update - done3.Select Orange GPRS via 'desintionations' as the default access point - done4. Select it again via the browser - doneOrange has said that the above is all they can offer and is convinced my brand new handset is faulty. I'm not too sure about their diagnosis, as I'm convinced it's a configuration problem.
I'm having a problem accessing photos and videos taken using my N8. Usually, such files are accessible by plugging it to a computer, with the phone either set to PC Suite or Mass Storage Mode. That was before. Now I can't. I've just noticed it just a week ago or so, and this problem still continues until now.I'm not sure what caused this, and I didn't have this problem before. I'm not sure either if this problem was caused by my recent update to Nokia Belle.Old photos and videos taken are completely accessible but the new ones I've recently captured are not accessible via PC Suite or Mass Storage Mode. It does not show in my PC or my laptop (both runs on Windows 7). The photos and videos are only accessible in the phone itself. The only way for me to transfer recently taken photos and videos is by sending it via Bluetooth to my laptop, which is very time consuming.
6760 slide has SIP Settings in the menu.Which is the purpose of it ?Is it possible to use VOiP on this phone ?May i have a procedure to set a VoiP profile ?Or SIP Settings are only a bug ?

I am using E 5 mobile phone. Today after I switched off my mobile phone and restarts fonts sizes were reduced. I checked in personalization but it shows in large format. This is very difficult to me. please help me or send me system recovery settings to my mobile. I am using Nokia since the first time I use mobile phones. And this was the very first time I face a thing like this especially for Nokia.
I've setup my wlan access in Internet destination. In this destination I set up wlan as priority 1 and mobile data as priority 2.Phone keeps moving wlan from Internet to Uncategorised destination. If I move it back to Internet it stays for some time and goes back to Uncategorised. Sometimes it happens while browsing. I want to go back one page and phone will show that it can't find the address. Have to go to settings and move it back to Internet destination. Ad nauseam. Did not have this problem on N8. My phone has static IP address on my home modem.
I am running version 091.004 form 2 June 2012. I have now problems with internet connections via WLAN or GPRS. Under "Network connections" I apparently have one access point categorized as Internet connection called "Netcom Mobil (3)".
I have 15 different ones in the "Not Categorized" section - some for MMS, some for WLAN and 3 copies of the above version 1, 2, 4 and no number respectively. Under Packet data is listed Netcom Mile (2) as access point Nokia Browser can access interne - claimin gto use Netcom Mobile(2)t.
Everything else does not work as far as I can see. I have tried to delete some of the duplicate points, but nothing happens. I have tried to change the categori - no chance. I have tried shutting it off and on. When you reply - beware my ignorrance about the difference between connection points and access points
Is it possible to somehow acces the calendar entries that are saved in a N8 backup file created by the Nokia Suite (v3.6.36), without restoring the backup to the N8 device? The background story:My N8 currently is not working, I have to take it to the service point. Now because I'm synchronizing my main calendar on the N8 with Microsoft Exchange, the Nokia Suite Calendar sync is off. But I had other calendars on my N8 (not synchronized with Exchange) and I'd like to access my calendar entries from there. I've made frequent backups of the whole calendar entries with Nokia Suite, so I hope I can somehow at least read my calendar entries from there.
I'm using LifeRemarks java app as a personal diary. I've used it before successfully on my N95.But since I installed it on my Nokia N8 I have a problem exporting it.On my N95 I just selected "Export Diary", I choose "OK" for allowing app to manage user data, I choose the memory partition and that was all. The diary was exported to my sd card in .txt format.
I am not able to access internet via wi-fi anymore. I can connect to a wi-fi with success but i can not connect to internet i get "mobile data off/connection unavaliable".I looked into network settings set priority of active wi-fi to 1 and tied like 10 random wi-fis My internet works fine if i`m not into wi-fi so i guess it`s a option that i must have changed to deactivate wi-fi or something like that
I'd like to make a shortcut from the home screen to a folder of images. I can't figure it out. I have read and read, and tried many things.I can make a folder in Menu or Applications, but can't put anything in there.
My phone has all of the settings sent by the phone company. It will access the internet no problem by going through the browser. However attempting to click on the preinstalled 'store' and 'maps' button starts the programs which then error 'connection failed' connection unavailable'. Clicking on SW updates gives the same error plus "unable to check for updates. Please try later". I haven't updated my phone - not sure how to now the SW updates won't work. Is it just a case of updating the preinstalled software?
when I started to organize my N8's menu I clicked on the Settings icon and moved it and it disappeared from the menu I looked in the Application folder but it wasn't there. And now I don't know how to return it (BTW tried to restore factory settings stayed the same the icon is gone)
A setting from profiles "Alert for" which is used to vibrate and ring on only particular calls from group. But this setting gives vibrations to all calls no matter from which group the call is.
