I found out that all the camera settings is not saved. For exampel i always want the grid displayed but then i have to turn it on manuelly every time. Same goes for the timer, id like it to be on 2sec so the picture not is taken as you push the button (shaky etc).
Probably more camera settings that not saved havent checked it all.
My new Nokia N8 is working good, but I canīt enter the photos. Everytime I press the button "photos" my Nokia turns into black screen and nothing happens. The phone is not down, but it canīt display photos or videos. What should I do? Should I download some program to view pictures?

Is it possible to configure the SIP settings on Nokia N8 to use Skype for making VOIP calls (in the same way that is possible for Voipcheap and Voipbuster)?I know that I can use the Skype app, but I was hoping to integrate Skype in the phone contacts just like I do with Voipcheap and Voipbuster.

It changed some settings on my phone and gave me the options to make these settings the defaults which I foolishly said YES to.Previously I could connect to the internet via WIFI or 3G (it gave me the option before hand) however now it likes to force me to use the new 3G service (even with my old SIM fitted).I managed to get my old settings back, but they keep changing back when I turn the phone off or leaving the house.I also don't seam to be able to have WIFI and new 3G option menu.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with my 4G Xoom; I've visited Tim Hortons and Dunkin Donuts, and have logged onto their free wifi, but each store uses the same SSID, and if I pull into the parking lot, my Xoom switches from 4G to wifi to connect. Now I believe the saved profiles are corrupted on my Xoom, as when I leave these establishments, my Xoom will not automatically go back to 4G, and requires a reboot to switch over. I would like to just clear my wifi settings and saved hotspots, but can't find a way to do this. I just wiped and restored my tablet, but it restored all of my hotspot settings and reloaded them. When the browser is used, it prompts for the username and password and then works. However other applications cannot connect to this network as they seemingly lack this feature and the phone does not make this globally available.Nokia Configuration Tool (NCT) 6.3 seems to allow placement of username and password values. When configuration is transferred back to phone, NCT shows successfully configured, but this does not seem to be the case when the settings are used by the phone.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter taking my son on his first cub scout camporee this weekend. I took tons of pictures and once we got home and started to show most of them are corrupt. I DID have the camera app set to save pics to the internal memory. Some how while playing with the settings it was changed to save to the micro SD card. All photos that are saved to the SD card seem to get corrupted. They have a normal file size but I noticed that all of the corrupt files have a resolution of -1 x -1. Pics that aren't corrupt have a resolution of 5312 x 2988.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this has already been identified, but this is my second phone which had the similar issue.I purchased n8 on nov1 2010, by feb2011 I noticed a black dot on the camera screen which would reflect on any photo takenI got a replacement piece which I had the camera issue resolved but had some sensor rotation issue, I replaced 3 phones for the sensor rotation issue and it took 2months for me to make NOKIA care people understand what is the issue on the sensor.Finally I got a right phone in the month of may..Sensor and camera are working good.Now again by oct2011 I had started up with the camera black dot on the left side of the camera screen...and now I was told by the CARE that they rectified the issue and they will return the same phone by this weekend(hopefully it might have been fixed)

I have had my N8 for months now and I love it I love the camera the best I been trying to take some new photos but It seems hard to auto forces and some are bury?

Does anyone know where they is a good internet site explaining exactly how to use the 808's camera and all its features? Its probably me being stupid but i cant seem to get great photos from my 808, infact id say my N8 takes better photos if you havent got 10 minutes to set it up.I've tried leaving it in auto mode and also messing around in creative mode but im just not happy with the photos, most seem blurred or out of focus slightly no matter how hard i try to keep the phone still.I'd say i can hold a camera just as still as most people but unless its mounted in a tripod the results are poor, even my mates and family have had a go and it makes no difference, none of use can get sharp photos every time.
I have attached a couple of pics to show what i mean.And before anyone says did the cat move for pic 2, the answer is no. He is great for taking photos as he just sits there for ages looking at you and not moving at all..Picture 1 is me holding the camera above my head (so not very stable at all) to take a photo of my cat on top of the shed roof, the results are quite good considering.Picture 2 is taken resting the camera on top of a box (so very stable) but seems slightly out of focus and not as good as pic 1.
