Apr 26, 2012Is there a data counter on the Lumia 900 that I can't find? I've tried to call the 3282 data number, and it always tells me I'm at 0 even though I know i've been on the data network and not wifi.Also, can someone explain to me how much data something like the people tile/email account setup uses? I've never understood apps like that coming from suuper old phones. Is it constantly checking your email/facebook? On some time interval? I'd really like to set up facebook and such with the people tile because it seems really nifty, but I don't want to go over my 2gb plan. I just don't terribly understand how it all works, and i'd be willing to try it out if I could see how much data i'm using..but that goes back to my first question...In the past when checking email/facebook I'd always just use the internet browser on my old Nokia e71x, and it wasn't giving me updates in real time like I know this guy is capable of. I'd like to use it, I just don't wanna eat up my data plan.

My Data is saying I have used 5.5mb of my 200 mb plan. At&T says I've used 6.08 MB. I've reinstalled My Data Manager but it won't let me put in 6.08 or any decimal points. I like the layout and I'm wonder is there any data manager programs that are extremely accurate and will work sort of the same way?

Jun 4, 2012I have taken several videos of my boys sports, but find myself unable to download the videos to my computer or portable hard drive. Videos were taken with my IPhone and are 3-7 minutes long. Up to 3gig of memory on just one video.
Trying to download to a Windows HP computer. When plugging in the phone to sync...it will go for 30 min and then state. (ITunes could not back up the iPhone because the backup could not be saved on the computer) I have tried multiple times, rebooted, made sure everything is up to date.
When opening the files up like a camera where you can drag or tried copy and paste the files will attempt to save. Sometimes the files looks saved but there is ZERO Mb saved, just the file name. Other time I was able to get a file save, but it will not play, just a very fragmented video that looks like pictures taken every 30 seconds.

I'm furious at the fact that my friend who has a bold 9700 can download the entire file using his normal browser, while the same download fails on my bold 9780 halfway through it, and this happens every single time I try to download. I would have expected blackberry to atleast add a download manager in this supposedly newer and better version of the 9700, but instead it has more flaws. I would really appreciate someone from blackberry technical support to have a look at this issue and reply to me asap.

Sep 22, 2011Ever since the wi-fi at my work stopped working (whole separate issue which I still haven't figured out), I noticed my cellular data usage spike up significantly. Now obviously this shouldn't be surprising, as I've had to use cellular data instead of wi-fi, duh. However, all I really used my phone for at work was to check email, and the attachments were set to never automatically downloaded. I started analyzing my AT&T bill and noticed random large chunks of cellular data usage: 3-4 mb during the middle of the night, 15mb during the day, etc. The other day, my phone transferred nearly 40mb for 3 hours straight! I called up AT&T tech support, and they eventually put me all the way to Motorola second tier support, and yet no one could tell me what was going on. All they could tell me was that Android phones normally transfer data here and there in order to sync. BS -- the only account I have on sync is my gmail email and work calender. I have ZERO social applications set up with Motoblur.
After 3 hours on tech support, I gave up and decided to start toggling some settings. I turned on "Sync over Wi-Fi only" for data delivery of social applications, and this seems to have fixed it. The past two days my AT&T usage logs only show a few KB here and there. My battery also seems to last longer now, as it's not being forced to transfer data over 3G/4G for hours on end! Since I had no social applications set up with Motoblur, this makes no sense. Why would it still need to be transferring that much data??? Anyone else experience this? I wonder if someone at Motorola technical support could tell me exactly what was being sent to Motoblur.

Mar 22, 2014Little JPEGs copy OK, but anything more than a few MB either gives an error "a device attached to the system is not functioning" or Windows Explorer hangs (badly).
Selecting all files in the Pictures folder also causes both errors. It's a fresh install of Windows 7 with all the recommended updates.

Feb 9, 2012I would like to download pictures taken on my 710 to the pc one at a time. I have followed the steps and made all the correct checks in the approiate places but no photos are transferred. Using zune - on the screen with showing the pics on the phone I drag and drop one to the pc icon lower left corner and as I am dropping it I see a small thumbnail and a + sign but no picture shows up. I have all the folders set up properly its just that no pics are transferring.
