BB Curve :: Set Up A Yahoo Email Account On A Curve 8900 Running OS 4?
Nov 5, 2011I'm trying to set up a yahoo email account on a Curve 8900 running OS 4, but when I go to Setup and Email Settings, all I get is the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I'm based in Ireland and have eircom broadband. My wireless router is a Netopia with WEP encryption but no authentication (Open security).

Jan 3, 2010Right, having some trouble with my phone... been having it for a few months, but its only just started annoying me enough to want to fix it Its through o2, with the blackberry unlimited plan... When I try to connect to o2email.co.uk or myo2 through my blackberry, i'm getting "Error! Your account has been suspended, please contact the system administrator". I've contacted o2, and they've told me to download service packs from o2email... Which I can't connect to via my handset. Anyone know if theres a way to have them sent to my handset from a computer? I can't connect to o2email from my PC browser either.

Aug 11, 2010I have just bought my 8900 and can`t setup a normal new e-mal account because itoffers me only one option to use the BB enterprise service. Why am I missing the e-mail icon in the settings folder? I have this BB for 7 days and I hate it someone.O and also I tryed to download the app world and it says that my phone is not suported.... Now I feel very sorry for seling my Iphone 3GS.

Mar 24, 2010I just got a new blackberry im very new with it, I'm told I'm not allowed to access my instant messenger's unless i get a contract... which i dumb because im prepaid, and last time i checked they sale blackberrys for prepaid so why cant prepaid customers cant get prepaid data plans... anyways... im trying to sign into my instant messenger for yahoo and msn that i downloaded from the blackberry site.... at first it told me when i tried to sign in i needed a activation code, to speak to a representative... so i did and... they told me different stories and a bunch of crap... then concluded that i wasnt able to access messengers unless i had a contract i was able to download and access with pantech duo smart phone and any other phone but black berry this is a big issue my 2nd phone i had to buy because of this issue

Jan 9, 2012I had an old BB curve 8900, am I had some problems with it and I decided to buy another one. On my old BB 8900I had Enterprise activation account. I received a new password and ALL the things I had on my old phone were synchronized on my new one. And I don't want that. So I've wipe out my phone. But surprise when I entered my Enterprise activation account all the previous things that I wiped out were on my new wiped out BB curve 8900. I don't want that. I want a new fresh BB! How can I wipe out everything, activate this account and have a fresh start. I love this function, I love that all my contacts, mails etc., were there, but I just want to copy a part of them. (I'm doing this because a while ago I've changed the language of the phone and in the upper right corner is a mark with "EN" and I really hate it, and I want it gone, but every time I change the phone, wipe it out, it reappears)...

I activated blackberry email from my operator witch is Vodafone Romania but when I try to login on http://mobileemail.vodafone.ro/ to create my email this message appears: Your BlackBerry Internet Service Account is suspended or deactivated. Please contact your wireless service provider at 0725 and vodafone operator said the problem comes from RIM who is transmitting this message.

Oct 21, 2011I just got my blackberry curve 8520 and I tried to set up my account on my pc. I downloaded the BlackBerry App World Browser Plug-in and I was able to connect to my phone. Then as it was downloaded I lost the internet connection and it dropped the download. Ever since then I can't get my phone to "connect" and keep recieving the message"App World Web Plugin Error.An error has occurred communicating with the BlackBerry App World Web plugin. restart your device and try again." Then if I try to connect from my blackberry I get the message "Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again." This is so annoying, there is nothing at all wrong with the connection now. What can I do to fix this?

Aug 16, 2011When I try to access my email accounts, I can't. I go into Setup. Click on Email Accounts. The little clock in the center of the screen show up. That's it. I'm still on the Setup main page and nothing has happened. Sometimes, it will take me to the next page, with the two options: internet mail account or enterprise account. Click on internet mail account. It does nothing. Or takes me back to the main Setup page.

Jun 1, 2012BB curve 9300 6.0 I want to change my e-mail accounts. I've tried going into email account management. A screen requesting user name and password comes up to access e-mail settings. I don't know my user name or password. I've tried various times and sometimes it comes up saying that my password is being sent to my device but I can't find where/how. In the midst of this I've had a crash and then I updated but it is still the same except my e-mail accounts are no longer sending or receiving. I can see them but they don't work so I now need to access the e-mail set up even more.?

However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.
