I have just bought my 8900 and can`t setup a normal new e-mal account because itoffers me only one option to use the BB enterprise service. Why am I missing the e-mail icon in the settings folder? I have this BB for 7 days and I hate it someone.O and also I tryed to download the app world and it says that my phone is not suported.... Now I feel very sorry for seling my Iphone 3GS.

I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
My colleague had a blackberry curve 8900 and this was then passed to me as he left the company. My sim works in the phone fine but I am unable to set up my email as it says there is one already set up. Im no longer in contact with my colleague and not sure what to do. Is there any way of renewing this? When I go to email setup it doesnt have the option of create new email.
Out of nowhere today, my phones battery is dying faster than normal.I read the old posts about what to do, I close everything out by hitting menu..close, i erased all apps i never used, games i never used awhile ago and i never had a problem. I woke up this morning after charging it all night and had a full battery, i have only sent maybe 6 texts and had one BBM convo for 5 mins and closed it out after....i am doing a battery pull right now.any other suggestions? Maybe time for a new battery? Although I feel like this is still new.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

They have already setup an email address (hotmail) on the phone - how do I delete it and change it to mine? Also, I'm on Pay As You Go (Orange network)... can I still use and download apps from app world? What limitations are there for Pay As You Go? And how do I buy an internet plan for Pay As You go - is there like a £5 a month thing I can buy from Orange? Quite a few questions there.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my curve for over a year now on my Orange contract. I have just been given a new Sim Card by my company. This Sim card is with Vodafone. I got my phone unlocked and the new Sim card is working fine for everything but emails. There isnt even an option to set-up the email accounts!!
I contacted Vodafone and they said that the phone had already been registered with an email server. Which it has beacause i was using it with my other Orange contract. All they could suggest was buying a new handset!! But surely that means if anyone sells their blackberry handset, the new owner wont be able to use email, this cant be right.
How do I setup an email address on my blackberry 8900? I have the TMobile month to month plan with 1500 minutes/messages and 30MB web. The only setup option I saw was for a work email and it said something about a Blackberry Enterprise activation password??

View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought a 2nd hand 8900 but it doesn't have the wizard to set ip my email I've looked in all options and menus but there is nothing for email. I set up blackberry in my company and I wonder if this device is set to enterprise activation instead of other activations. I called my carrier o2 but the weren't helpful and said it was because I was on the wrong tariff and didn't have an o2 email address. I've wiped the device could updating the software out this back? It doesn't show a carrier when I start it up I think it was originally purchased as a sim free device. Any thoughts?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a consultant and have a client that has a BB Curve. He has been using a certain provider inet for his email. He has now changed to a different provider (for technical reasons). I have tried to setup his new email account for the new provider - I also use a BB curves and have performed this operation for over 50 of my clients. However in this scenario, the Curve keeps asking for his account id and password. We have tried to enter it and it says that the Username cannot be blank. If we exit and re-enter the setup tool, and then enter the same info again, it says that the username and/or password is incorrect. His credentials have never - ever changed.
We cannot get his password (or acct info) sent to him by BB (RIM), because he no longer has the email address of record. Of course I tried entering a different email address to send it to, but of course it doesn't get to his phone as there is no eamil address setup (except his old one). The provider here in town (TELUS) has been quite useless in helping and have been quite specific that we need to talk to RIM, well of course this seems to be the only avenue available.Can someone direct us to the appropriate area or resource in order to proceed with setting up his new email account.
I cant create Email Account . When I try to setup my Email account, IT appears to activate your interprise account ,enter details provided by your systemadminstrator. I dont know which details isit. It appears also inter activation password ,which I didnt get it.

When I try to connect to o2email.co.uk or myo2 through my blackberry, i'm getting "Error! Your account has been suspended, please contact the system administrator". I've contacted o2, and they've told me to download service packs from o2email... Which I can't connect to via my handset. Anyone know if theres a way to have them sent to my handset from a computer? I have went to Setup> Email Accounts and entered in my password to verify my account and it brings me to a screen that says "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again." Once I press OK it takes me back to the Setup main screen.

I had an old BB curve 8900, am I had some problems with it and I decided to buy another one. On my old BB 8900I had Enterprise activation account. I received a new password and ALL the things I had on my old phone were synchronized on my new one. And I don't want that. So I've wipe out my phone. But surprise when I entered my Enterprise activation account all the previous things that I wiped out were on my new wiped out BB curve 8900. I don't want that. I want a new fresh BB! How can I wipe out everything, activate this account and have a fresh start. I love this function, I love that all my contacts, mails etc., were there, but I just want to copy a part of them. (I'm doing this because a while ago I've changed the language of the phone and in the upper right corner is a mark with "EN" and I really hate it, and I want it gone, but every time I change the phone, wipe it out, it reappears)...
