i just got my 8520 last aug 23. it was all working fine,until last night i was supposed to charge it. it charged at first then it turned off. it didnt turned on for a while. i took off the charger then it restarted..everytime i tried to charge it, it just keeps on restarting. no error message at all.

For example when I try to change a song the loading clock will appear on my screen, and then my screen will go white, my phone will make a strange sound and then restart.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOK so basically my blackberry curve 8520 will turn on fine, but it keeps restarting itself at random times when I play music or if I am half way through writing a message to someone, if it restarts when I am playing music it makes a funny loud noise. It is really starting to test my patients and it keeps restarting when I type to people. Sometimes the blackberry will go onto a white screen before restarting, sometimes it will just freeze and go off, then sometimes it will just go off with a flashing red light. I don't know what is wrong with it and I cannot find another person with he same person
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recenty cleared my phonne with the alt+lglg and cleared some other history stuff, and i seen a thing for memory cleaner and i enabled it and i figured that might save me some time, it prompted me before i closed it that memory cleaner would run when the phone had been rebooted and something else. but now my phone has been rebooted and it wont turn on it just keeps restarting over and over and over again. i left it over nihgt hoping it would be working in the morning and it still rebooted all night.

The phone does not unlock and restart. Instead, I have to manually unlock it and it prompts me to restart. Idk what to do. I want to have phone restarted when I don't need it. my 8520 stopped working around a month and a half ago maybe a little longer, it wouldnt charge when plugged into the charger, i tried a veriety of different things to see if it worked but nothing did, i have now bought a new battery for my 8520, before putting the new battery in, i decided to try and turn my phone on with my old battery in it, but had no luck. so i took my old battery out and placed my new one in and the red light came on in the top right corner, it then came up with a charging sign on the screen then a red cross appeared ontop of it, a loading bar then came on underneath it and it grew longer very slowly, so i thought i'd leave it to see if it needed time to charge and load, when i came ack to have a look at it after about 15 mins it looked exactly the same so i then tried turning my phone on/off bye pressing the red end call button, when i did that the battery with the red cross through went off the screen and then the word 'blackberry' in white writing appeared as if it was then being switeched on and then the little loading sign came on underneath, shortly after that it just went back

I haven't noticed a pattern as to when it does this, and it doesn't seem to be a regular interval. I'll have it sitting next to me on the table, and suddenly it lights up, shuts down, and starts back up, and carries on as if nothing happened.

there is no charging symbol to show my phone is charging , the battery life increases but no symbol , im using a wall socket inlet also tried the usb cable as well.

Well, im not a very heavy BB user but ive never had my batt go dead on me but it happened! i totally couldnt turn my phone on until i put in my charger.Then it happens randomly whereby my phone will heat up and the battery drops 5% every 10mins or so! until it shuts off!! It happened once right after i fully charged my phone and it shut off within the next hour.Anyone knows whats happening?? i suspected whether it was any of my installed apps that are draining my batt, so i shut off everything! i mean no msn no foursquare no twitter only emails are on but yet it still happens!!Help please? i hope its just the batt thats screwed not my phone.

Today I pulled the battery after it restarted and when it started up again the battery life had come back, but it restarted itself again about 2 seconds later. Is my phone on its way out? View 1 Replies View RelatedI had my phone outside with me while i was swimming. my phone didn't get wet at all and was never in the sun, and was covered by a towel. however, when i went to go pick it up, it was in the process of restarting. when it finally got to the tmobile screen, it vibrated, then turned off and restarted again. it's been doing this nonstop. i've tried taking the battery out, plugging the phone in, then putting the battery in. keeping it on the charger while it restarts. letting it die completely from it restarting so much. and leaving the battery out for a few hours before putting it back in. however, none of it has helped. Now it constantly reboots, stays on for 5 seconds and reboots again. I have tried removing the battery, sim etc, nothing works. Besides updating the OS, is there nothing else I can do, just to keep it on? I can't event keep it on long enough to upgrade the OS?
