My BB quit sending/receiving emails 6 weeks ago. I tried to do the setup again, but error message says "Blank entry not valid" even though the info has been entered (Email & password) I tried to get help from Sprint but as they aren't supporting BB anymore, they just want me to upgrade.I swapped devices this AM (8350 Black for 8350 Red) and the same issue on this device.
View 8 RepliesI reformatted my BB on Monday, and reinstalled it from backup. Before that, when I'd get an email notification, the LED would flash red and a tone would sound. Now, nothing. I have it set up correctly, and even took it to the store today to see if they could figure it out. All other sounds/notifications work fine, except for email.

View 2 Replies View Relatedafter being a nextel customer for over 12 years i feel the issues with connecting etc have become too much of a PITA so i switched on a 30 day trial to the 8530 from Sprint. have to say that the first thing i noticed was the speed of online. I know nextel is not 3g but they are so slow. the threaded text is a neat option and in 48 hrs i have not dropped a single call. Gonna give it a few weeks to see how it works. Why dont they have a sprint/nextel hybrid blackberry? Dont think its asking too much to have a phone that just works plain and simple recently the 8350i is not that phone

My 8350i is serviced by SouthernLinc and I was told Tether doesn't work with iDEN phones? What's up with that? I'm going to see if it will work, if not, oh well. Any helpful info would be great!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve 8350 and after every phone call I get a screen that pops up and it says the name of the caller and I have 3 options ok, back and I think cancel no matter which option I pick it shuts down and reboots and that takes about 5 minutes... the first 2 times it happened I brought it back to the store and the first time the lady punched some numbers in and it was fine the next time the owner went on the computer and did somthing it was fine but he is away for 2 weeks and everybody at the stoe is clueless

Then I downloaded a game and a theme.. about 30 mins after the theme it started not to work.The only thing I can do is take a picture.The track ball wont move at all. Left or right. It will take a picture.Is there anything I can do? Please help me if you can.I cant even dial my phone. when i type a name in it wont let me scrool down to the number I need.is there a way to dete the stuff? Or fix the trackball?
View 8 Replies View RelatedPhone needed a battery pull last night as it froze in the middle of sending a picture message. This happens a LOT I'm afraid. Typically, it boots right up, loads the software, my screen comes up, my icons come back and I'm in business. I am stuck in a boot loop it seems. The BB logo comes up, the bar loads about 2/3 of the way, then the red light comes on and it shuts off. Phone starts back up and does the same thing over and over and over. It also won't turn off (unless I just pull the batter out, but when replaced, the same thing keeps happening). I can't load the OS again through the BB Desktop Manager because the process is halted each time the phone turns itself off again.

I wanted to switch my bb email address which is xxx@mobility.blackberry.net. (note that those x's represent 3 letters.) When I called my carrier to ask them to connect that email address to my current PIN they said they are unable to do so, as they are getting error messages that emails must have a minimum of 4 characters, and that I must take my concerns to blackberry support. Talk about passing the buck, but I guess I will give it a try. Is there anyway I can get my email back or is it history?

He was given a web site by best buy - cellunlock to get an unlock key code for $7.99 i think. They sent us about 9 pages of instructions. The curve 9300 wasnt listed specifically so I tried the first number on the list (turns out I should have tried the 4th one). Anyway we had 10 tries. After the first entry try, nothing happened. View 9 Replies View RelatedI got an unlocked blackberry curve 8520 in February. I did get it from Poland but everything is the same. I don't have a data package, but about a two weeks ago I found out I could connect to wifi anyways. I did this and it worked at my house all day that day. Then I left and when I came back it wouldn't connect to the router it was previously connected to or any others. After searching forums I've tried changing all kinds of settings but they all seem to be where they were supposed to be. I did notice though when I'm in 'options> wifi> menu> wifi tools> wifi diagnostics the status bar says "IP address no loner valid" for all the routers I try to connect to.

I tried calling boost mobile to get puk code which i got but mssg stated unable to change pin. i cant for the life of me get the mobile network to come on. I even tried to go to the sprint site and enter my imei and sim card and it said it was suspended or deactivated does anybody have any ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to set up my email account through the wizard set up and have been largely unsuccessful. I read a couple of posts that have given a step-by-step process. My only problem is that I don't have an option that says 'Add account.' Here are the steps I've followed:
1) Go to Email Setup
2) Choose 'I want to create or add an email address.
3) Click next
4)Click next again
5)Then, I get a message which says 'Existing Users, to log in, please provide your username and password.'
I don't have an option to add an account. When I put in my username and password into the fields, I get a message saying please enter a valid username. (My service provider already set up my Gmail, and couldn't add the other one. I told him I'd figure it out)
