Okay, Blackberry Curve 8350 Sprint and uh, it's black.I just got it in the mail and activated it today, but, I can't get my volume buttons on the side to change the volume. But, when it's in sleep mode, it lights up if I press the volume buttons, but, it doesn't actually change the volume.
I reformatted my BB on Monday, and reinstalled it from backup. Before that, when I'd get an email notification, the LED would flash red and a tone would sound. Now, nothing. I have it set up correctly, and even took it to the store today to see if they could figure it out. All other sounds/notifications work fine, except for email.
My recently purchased Iphone 5 works great with one annoying issue. The volume buttons on the side are reversed. The button with the minus sign increases the volume and is directly underneath the mute toggle. The button with the plus sing decreases the volume.Â
I am new to BB and am learning my way through it. Hopefully this is just a setting, but there are 3 buttons on the right side of the phone. The one near the bottom is for the camera, and there are a couple above that that the user guide says are the volume buttons. When I press the them to increase or drecrease the volume, nothing happens.
I have reset all settings. Sometimes when I press the volume up button the ringer symbol shows up. When I double tap the home button a slide to the left the volume is completely none. I cannot slide or use the buttons to change.
My volume buttons on the side recently quit working and it won't let me turn the ringer up and my keyboard doesn't click and my home screen doesn't click
i dont have this fone, a friend of mine does, he has Curve 8350 from Virgin mobile,he been tryn to figure this out, His windows os is the media center edition. is there a site he can get info or he cant use the phone or windows os ?
I've bought my 5800 XM yesterday. Today I was playing some music and noticed that the sidevolume buttons don't work when keypad is locked! It's very difficult to take out the phone from your pocket and then adjust the volume or change the track unless you have put on the handsfree. Please let me know if there is any fix for this.
I have had the Bold 9700 since like the end of May 2010. This is actually my 2nd one because the first one I got was defective (the 3/R button didn't work)..so I got a new Bold 9700 via DOA. Two days ago, I noticed that my phone would restart when i press the two volume buttons at the same time. If I press one of them, it still works perfectly. However, I use a case so sometimes I accidentally hit the two volume buttons together and my phone reboots.I'm not too sure if this problem just started to occur like recently because I never noticed if I ever hit the volume keys together at the same times before. I don't think it's a software problem but I'm running on the original Rogers OS 5.0.0.351. I never bothered to upgrade because .351 seems to work pretty well already.
All of a sudden I have a problem with the volume on my phone. I know it isn't a problem with the speakers as all my videos play normally with sounds, and when I try to change the ringtone, it plays. However, I cannot adjust the volume using the volume buttons on the side, and the silence switch doesn't work...when I press any of them, there is no on screen confirmation of a change. The ohphone also doesn't play any noise when I have an incoming call or text. But I like I said, I can play videos with sound, I can go to settings and sound and hear the ringtones. I have reset, and restored the phone but nothing has made any difference.
I've had this problem for a while and now I'm getting work I don't want to miss my phone because I've put it on dead mode. Before I factory reset my phone, I was able to change my volume using the side buttons to go from different levels of sound, then vibrate only, then dead mode (complete silent and no vibrations). Now I only have different levels of sound and dead mode. I read about changing an option in sounds to vibrate only in silent mode, which will fix this but I can't find that either (my suspicians are that this option was taken out in ICS or moved to a secret location to foil my plans).
buttons D 2 side buttons of BB Curve 8520 have come off. I enquired about a new cover and was shocked to find that it cost Rs. 330, more than 1/3rd d price of a new Curve 8520. I have read on various forums that a lot ppl have faced d same issue and that its a manufacturing defect.
the keyboard and buttons on the side and top on my 8900 simply stopped working, in that they will no longer activate the phone even though I know the phone to be on.The phone is a PAYG handset on Orange, whom I have contacted and was told that because the unit is over 12 months old (18months) I must contact Blackberry. There are unfortunately no support telephone numbers apparent on the site, so this seems to be my only option! This is incredibly annoying as I need to use the phone on a daily basis for email, etc!
I have a Blackberry Curve 8330. Yesterday the buttons stopped working. I could use the phone only through the Bluetooth. Based on the information from this forum I tried a number of hard resets and updated the OS. Neither worked. Verizon is exchanging the phone, but I don't want to send the phone back with all of my info on it. Is there any way to clear out all the information on the phone without using the keyboard and the normal wipe memory process?
The increase (top one) volume button on the side of the phone does not work. The decrease volume button work fine. For example, I open up media player, put on an mp3, but it is too low to be able to hear so I click the volume button to increase it but it just does nothing. I have threw my Blackberry once or twice in frustration since I got it for Christmas. I imagine this might have something to do with the fault but I don't know for sure.
I just noticed this today that when I'm playing a song on my phone, the volume buttons act as the media player as well switching to the next song. I would often try to increase or decrease the volume, and I realize I can't. I tried a battery pull hoping that would solve the issue. It's frustrating how a person can't hear music at all, and having no use of the volume buttons. I am still under my 30 day warranty, I'm considering taking it back and exchanging for a new one.
Every once in a while the lock key and camera buttons all stop working, they just don't do anything. After a time they all start working again. I've taken the phone in for repair twice, but I suppose with it being an intermittent problem they've had trouble tracking down what's going on. Anyone any ideas why this is happening? Is it a software problem as it happens to buttons on both sides at the same time?
I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?
the option to have the side buttons control screen rotation is Massively Useful. It would be so much easier to do that as a shortcut, rather than having to go to settings etc every time to turn it on and then back again to turn rotation off.requently I want the screen to rotate for just a couple of images, and then flip it back to static. We can make this happen
after being a nextel customer for over 12 years i feel the issues with connecting etc have become too much of a PITA so i switched on a 30 day trial to the 8530 from Sprint. have to say that the first thing i noticed was the speed of online. I know nextel is not 3g but they are so slow. the threaded text is a neat option and in 48 hrs i have not dropped a single call. Gonna give it a few weeks to see how it works. Why dont they have a sprint/nextel hybrid blackberry? Dont think its asking too much to have a phone that just works plain and simple recently the 8350i is not that phone
I have a friend who has an 8350i from Boost Mobile and is currently trying the tether software. He said it works great! My 8350i is serviced by SouthernLinc and I was told Tether doesn't work with iDEN phones? What's up with that? I'm going to see if it will work, if not, oh well. Any helpful info would be great!
I have just updated my bold 9700 to O/S 6 bundle 2949 and since the update the up volume key is not working. Volume down works fine. The volume buttons were working fine before the update on the previous O/S 6 bundle ?
Anybody else unable to connect to the internet or use GPS? I haven't been able to all day (phone and DC work) and I've tried to do a battery pull twice.
I have a blackberry curve 8350 and after every phone call I get a screen that pops up and it says the name of the caller and I have 3 options ok, back and I think cancel no matter which option I pick it shuts down and reboots and that takes about 5 minutes... the first 2 times it happened I brought it back to the store and the first time the lady punched some numbers in and it was fine the next time the owner went on the computer and did somthing it was fine but he is away for 2 weeks and everybody at the stoe is clueless
I have just recieved my new Bold and the side volume keys are not functioning... nothing happens when I touch them.Is there something I have to turn on for them to work?
