This is my first time using these forums I'm just wondering howcome I can't find the live chat to speak with a RIM rep?? My 9780 won't let me unlock my phone. I tried it through the settings and also with a different SIM card and it said incorrect code 4 times.. I called my carrier and it is indeed the right code
View 3 RepliesI lock my bb my pressing the top left keypad lock button but when I press it again to unlock it it won't unlock!! The only way to unlock is to take the battery out and put it back in! It only started doin this yesterday.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt was working fine today, then all of sudden while in my holster, I heard a beep and when I tried to put my password in, my keyboard was locked. I tried using the * plus Send (green phone button), tried the hidden lock button on the top left of the phone and tried to take my battery out (three times). I can use the scroll bar and the prompt to unlock appears, but I cannot unlock the keyboard.

But according to the phone, manual, and plenty of googling, it should unlock by holding down the A again. (or A + send button)I've tried plenty of different keypad combos, but no luck.Powering down does unlock it. In fact, I usually just power it down, then interupt the power down (by hitting any key), and the keypad is then unlocked. But that's pretty incoonvenient.

I've had my phone for a couple of months now and it's been fine. The last software update caused the phone screen to go dark every time I turned on the keyboard lock, which is ok. But now - often, but not always - I can't get the phone to unlock again. I can activate the screen by pressing the Blackberry menu button but it just tells me the phone is locked. Pressing the keyboard lock/unlock button does nothing. I have to either disconnect the battery or connect the phone to a power supply to unlock it. Seems a bit strange to me!

I have entered blackberry on my device and im onto the 7th attempt but dont want to keep trying as its not working. I can lock the keypad using the A button or the button on the top left of the phone, but the only way I can unlock the keypad is by restarting the phone. 2. Install application. I use the Blackberry Desktop Software to see what applications I have and the upgrade seems to have uninstalled most applications. But now it won't let me re-install them, which also means that I can't get any applications from App world.

I get the password prompt but upon entering the password it just goes back to the locked screen with the padlock.Using Alt + Back button I can scroll through a number of open apps but can not open or close them it, then freezes and displays a white screen until I pull the battery.
Numerous battery pulls later and still no joy.The only change on my device yesterday was a number of failed attempts to download Docs to Go ver 2.0 from the App World yesterday. My BB does a scheduled battery pull each night at 2am and the phone has been like that since the last scheduled pull (forget the name of the app).
Edit to highlight - I know the password is working as it re-prompts if I type it in incorrectly on purpose and after 2 attempts asks me to type in Blackberry.
First one to guess a number between 1 and 10, I won it in a contest and have no use for it.
