BB Bold :: 9900 WiFi Immediately Turns Off - Network Scanning Attempt Fails
Mar 31, 2010Our company was able to receive the new Bold 9900 but it seems there is an issue with activating wifi on the device. Have tried turning on Wifi, but it attempts scanning for networks then eventually fails and turns wifi off. It doesn't even list any active access points. Doing a battery pull and reset the device to factory defaults does not seem to do the trick. I am thinking it could be a defective device or perhaps a software issue.

BB Bold 9700 :: Cannot Update IMAP Password - Attempt Results In OS Message "Your Device Had A Problem Connecting To The Server"
May 25, 2010I'm trying to update the IMAP password on a 9700 Bold, a process I've done numerous times in the recent past. However, on this particular device, I cannot even get to the menu for email accounts. Every attempt results in the following ianane OS message; "Your device had a problem connecting to the server." I'm then required to either try again (a never ending loop) or cancel.
I suspect this has something to do with my provider (AT&T) because I had similar symptoms on another device (same model, w/o enterprise security policies). I was able to fix it on the other device by deleting the IMAP Service Books and then doing a hard reset. It doesn't work for the problem BB.
BB Bold 9700 :: Pressing Top Left Keypad Lock Button / When Press It Again To Unlock It Won't Unlock
Jun 4, 2010I lock my bb my pressing the top left keypad lock button but when I press it again to unlock it it won't unlock!! The only way to unlock is to take the battery out and put it back in! It only started doin this yesterday.

Each time I attempt to make a phone call I get a connection error message and also can't receive or send sms or receive calls but I can get on the net via wifi and wap.The phone has been back to a nokia repair center where they replaced my camera lens (which was OK) and completely ignored my reasons for need of repair...It came back with the exact same errors it went with, I read on here how to do a hard reset which for some reason worked for a day then the phone continued with the connection error. I bought the N97 from a seller on eBay and was completely sealed brand new in the box and the seller is unwilling to communicate or help. The phone is sim-locked to vodafone.. It is an original n97 not a clone or copy. I've tried updating to the latest version but ovi updated says it don't exist. Is there anyway to get a replacement handset from Nokia or anyway to force them to respond and help me, or is there anyone out there know what my problem is? Thnx for any help.

The playbook finds the update and starts downloading but after a while the download stops and there is a message unable to download software update. Mar 23, 2012my iphone 4 and went onto itunes (latest version) to back it up and restore. After the restore, I got an error message saying that it couldn't restore the phone. However, now all I have on my iphone is the little itunes logo with a lead and an arrow pointing to it. I have tried to turn off and on the iphone - I have also tried a hard reset on the iphone but it keeps coming back with the same thing. The iphone is not showing up in itunes now either so I can't do anything there.

He was given a web site by best buy - cellunlock to get an unlock key code for $7.99 i think. They sent us about 9 pages of instructions. The curve 9300 wasnt listed specifically so I tried the first number on the list (turns out I should have tried the 4th one). Anyway we had 10 tries. After the first entry try, nothing happened. If you immediately try it again it will move successfully..I have already cleared the cache and factory reset to work around other odd app crash/stability issues but this items seems to persist. May 28, 2012I had an incorrect password attempt(10 times) i guess. This lead to factory reset to my phone. While logging back in, the motoblur account retrieved all my previous accounts but all my phone and memory card data is completely gone. Not sure, if it was a factory reset or the andriod upgrade which did that. Is there a way to find out ? And i really need my important data back. I assume the data is not literally deleted from the phone or card memory, but is there a way to retrieve it. I had a backup activated but not sure where to restore it from and how long was that backup updated.
