A day after the update any time I try to call someone, I get a "call not sent" error on the first attempt. When I try again it goes through. I have deleted the contact cache with no luck. Any way before I hard reset?

Each time I attempt to make a phone call I get a connection error message and also can't receive or send sms or receive calls but I can get on the net via wifi and wap.The phone has been back to a nokia repair center where they replaced my camera lens (which was OK) and completely ignored my reasons for need of repair...It came back with the exact same errors it went with, I read on here how to do a hard reset which for some reason worked for a day then the phone continued with the connection error. I have sent numerous emails to the so called Nokia Support Center and have yet to receive a reply after 2 months, I've also rang them and have been passed around various places and ended up on the phone with the 1st person I spoke to, none of these people could help me..
I bought the N97 from a seller on eBay and was completely sealed brand new in the box and the seller is unwilling to communicate or help. The phone is sim-locked to vodafone.. It is an original n97 not a clone or copy. I've tried updating to the latest version but ovi updated says it don't exist. Is there anyway to get a replacement handset from Nokia or anyway to force them to respond and help me, or is there anyone out there know what my problem is? Thnx for any help.

Always when I receive a message (SMS) I get this error code:
"brMessage onReceive () - Attempt to invoke virtual method 'booleanjava.lang.String.equals(java.lang.Object)' on a null object reference"
I have an Z2 and my boyfriend has the Z3 compact and gets the same error - he tried to reset the phone and the error still ocurred.
I'm consistently getting an error when trying to backup my call log in Kies (2.3.2.12054_20). I can backup everything else but the call log. I get this on 2 computers I have.
This is the error I get:
Data backup cannot proceed because of an unexpected error. Please connect the device and try backing up again.
Is "Root" required for the call log to be backed up? If so, how is this done on the S II?
My problem is that I am trying to unlock the phone and we reached zero attempt.. what can we do now?

I always check how many bars i have and its usually at 4 or 5. sometimes a battery pull fixes this, but other times, the problem is persistent. my old bold 9000 had the same problem, so i'm not sure if it's at&t or blackberries in general.

I'm not in a hurry to do so, but would like to know why they might have advised that and are there any steps I can take to a) avoid the phone updating itself and b) if I should want to try an update is there a way to downgrade if it doesn't work?I'm in the UK and will be using this phone with T-mobile network.

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy iphone 4 and went onto itunes (latest version) to back it up and restore. After the restore, I got an error message saying that it couldn't restore the phone. However, now all I have on my iphone is the little itunes logo with a lead and an arrow pointing to it. I have tried to turn off and on the iphone - I have also tried a hard reset on the iphone but it keeps coming back with the same thing. The iphone is not showing up in itunes now either so I can't do anything there.

My son bought me a new koodo blackberry curve 9300 from best buy but we are on telus server in bc. He was given a web site by best buy - cellunlock to get an unlock key code for $7.99 i think. They sent us about 9 pages of instructions. The curve 9300 wasnt listed specifically so I tried the first number on the list (turns out I should have tried the 4th one). Anyway we had 10 tries. If you immediately try it again it will move successfully..I have already cleared the cache and factory reset to work around other odd app crash/stability issues but this items seems to persist. Really loving the phone, but I've noticed that when I try to answer a call, the phone hangs-up instead. I have good signal and I can ring the person back immediately. At first I thought I was hanging up with my cheek, but it happened when I was in slow traffic in my car yesterday. The phone was sat in a mount, connected to Bluetooth. I used the car's controls to answer and had the same issue.
I've spoken to people who call me, and they say the call just ends with a beep, it doesn't go to voice mail. I've tested calling my S6 from another mobile and a land line and the problem happens every time.
If I tap reject, the call is sent to voice mail, so I'm not pressing the wrong button.
I've tried:
-Enabling/disabling single tap mode
-Enabling home key to answer calls
-Wiping the phone's cache partition using the Android system recovery menu
-Using a Bluetooth headset to answer calls
-Uninstalling Three InTouch, my network's Wi-Fi call app (I can answer calls if they come through this app)

The phone is stuck in recovery mode, and all attempts to restore the phone have resulted in failure. I keep getting the same error message. Basically, the phone never gets past "preparing to restore." I am linking my iPhone 4 to a PC Windows XP Professional, with up-to-date software. I had an incorrect password attempt(10 times) i guess. This lead to factory reset to my phone. While logging back in, the motoblur account retrieved all my previous accounts but all my phone and memory card data is completely gone. Not sure, if it was a factory reset or the andriod upgrade which did that. Is there a way to find out ? And i really need my important data back. I assume the data is not literally deleted from the phone or card memory, but is there a way to retrieve it. I had a backup activated but not sure where to restore it from and how long was that backup updated.

While on a call, phone automatically adds same contact in as a second call - the "MERGE CALLS" box opens above keypad. At no time did I do this myself, but perhaps proximity sensor not working and something with the call on my face does it itself. Once this happens, I cannot go back to my first call. Merging calls doesn' t allow me to talk to the first call either. There is no button to UNMERGE the two calls to return to the first. My only option is to end the second call, which ends both.
View 10 Replies View RelatedOur company was able to receive the new Bold 9900 but it seems there is an issue with activating wifi on the device. Have tried turning on Wifi, but it attempts scanning for networks then eventually fails and turns wifi off. It doesn't even list any active access points. Doing a battery pull and reset the device to factory defaults does not seem to do the trick. I am thinking it could be a defective device or perhaps a software issue.
