BB Bold :: 9930 Call Volume Only Works In Speaker Mode
Jul 9, 2012I have a verizon bold 9930 that I received last week, no third party apps besides what was preloaded on the phone. Yesterday, I noticed that when I answer phone calls I cannot hear the other person unless I put the phone into speakerphone mode. Is this a hardware issue?

Jun 20, 2010I have audio through the headset or speakerphone with no issue but none through the handset. Did a battery pull but that did not resolve the issue. I also just upgraded to Rogers OS 5.0.0.743 not sure if this is what caused the problem.

Jun 17, 2012My iPhone 4 only works on speakerphone. If someone calls me, and I answe, they can't hear me until I put the phone on speaker. I'm not always in a plae where I can talk on speaker :). I took it to an apple store about 8 months ago and of course, it worked just fine for them while I was there. I need this phone to work as a phone, at least until I can upgrade in September.

May 7, 2012some apps, like the music app, no longer display a volume slider. Even when connecting headphones, sounds cannot be heard from the iPhone. Any suggestions? It appears as though it is not only a hardware issue, but also a software one. I have restored my phone twice, with no noticeable effect.

May 6, 2011Lately I've noticed that I've been missing a lot of calls and texts, which I finally realized was from the phone not producing sounds. The only way I can get the speaker to work is to either remove the battery cover, or to apply pressure to the bottom of the cover while it is on (or pressing on the speaker grille) so I'm assuming it's some sort of physical connection issue. I don't understand why it would work with the battery cover off though if that was the case, so would a new battery cover fix everything? Or am I stuck with a vibrate-only phone until my next upgrade?

BB Bold :: White Screen; Phone Works, Can't See Or Control
Jul 15, 2011I have a Bold 9700. OS 6.I can only see a white screen with a gray bar down it.The phone appears to be working behind it - it vibrates, LED blinks, etc when a message comes in. I have rebooted, & pulled battery. I have left the battery out for a time. I tried a different battery.With the desktop software I have restored a previous back up, i can do a current back up & see what apps are installed, as well.All with no change.

Do not know how this happened, no damage to the phone at all, all of a sudden anything that plays of the speakerphone is not working, ie) music, alerts, ringtones.. NOTHING. Not even speakerphone during calls.The handset speaker works perfectly fine. I went thru allmy options, looked at all the sound profiles, nothing is working. Videos aren't playing sounds either. But if played through the handset or earphones it works....

Aug 1, 2012I have had my blackberry bold 9900 for about 6 months now. IN the last 2 months i will go to call someone and the phone is silent(No ringing or voice from the other person). So i started pushing keys on my phone to see if i could hear that and i have come to notice that if i hit "#" all of the sudden it starts ringing or the persons voice is there on the other end. They can hear me the whole time but I cannot hear them. When it starts doing this silent thing I am able to hit the # key for about the 1st 2 phone calls then it does not work what so ever. The other person can hear me but I can hear nothing. I then have to take my battery out and restart my phone and it will work for a few hours or maybe a day but then does the same thing again.

Jun 4, 2014My phone has been acting up since installing the latest iOS 7.1.1. The back lighting for the screen works intermittetly. I have been able to get it to come back on by turning the phone off and back on, but not every time. Once I enabled VoiceOver through Siri and turned ScreenCurtain On and Off. Other times, just clicking the home button and a few times on a notification that would turn the back lighting on. The phone seems to want to respond to turning the back lighting on, but does not do it every time it should. It usually takes 10 - 30 minutes of me working with it to get it to come back on. The phone has not been dropped and is in an Otterbox case.

The trackpad and all of the other buttons; however, are not responding. Trackpad wont scroll and the buttons dont do anything. Even the lock and unlock does nothing.

May 18, 2012I have used the iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) for more than a year now with only minor issues. Like on a usual day I was playing a word game "Rumble" then quit the game, connected my earphones for music & pressed the "Home" button on the phone to unlock it and the screen was Black. This was a sudden shocker!! . I just put the phone to rest for a while & after about an hour crossed my fingers and tried the Home button again but the Black screen continued. So the backlight of the iPhone works I can say that bcoz I see the phone luminates but the "Slide to Unlock" is cannot be seen. Since I have been using the phone for a while I know the exact position of "Slide to Unlock" so if I slide my finger it unlocks too with the default "unlocking (click) noise" but again the icons of the apps cannot be seen, all I see is a fadely luminated grid. I receive SMS's and Calls although I cant read them nor can I see whos calling. Since the screen is blank I cant operate the phone but the phone seems to be working. I hence tried the reboot, restart, shutdown & start again, restore backup, update iOS everything a desperate user would do but nothing has worked till now. There is not much discussion on this issue anywhere hence No resolution. I am gonna visit an Apple service center today and keep my fingers crossed. I have taken utmost care of the phone. Till date it is scratchless, spotless.

Touch screen works, I receive calls, charging works, able to switch-off / switch-on, etc. Service Center person says liquid log near the display connector. I am a technician configuring a BB for a customer. I just wiped the device and reloaded the OS, including the base software and a few specific programs I've installed on every other blackberry I've done as per company standard. I've tried multiple battery pulls and I've tried reloading the OS through the blackberry desktop software, and it hasn't fixed my issue:
The trackpad only works in specific menus, and it seems to half-work in others, requiring me to use the touchscreen to navigate. Specifically, it WILL work if the selection is currently in the app list, or if I am in the Options. It does NOT work to transition from the home screen to the app list, when viewing the user agreement after pushing programs through desktop manager, and it does not work at all when I am in the Setup. It doesn't appear to be a hardware issue, because the trackpad seems to specifically work in some areas and not work in others. When it works, it works 100%, and when it doesn't work it is useless.
Are there troubleshooting steps I should attempt, or is this an issue that would be better handled by the carrier? The phone technically "works" but I don't want to give a phone with limited functionality to this customer.
BB Bold :: 9790 Only Works When Charging?
Nov 5, 2012use my blackberry quite a lot and basically what's happened is my blackberry when not charging go's straight to a red bar and turns itself off due to the battery being dead, I have two battery's and tried both and exactly the same thing happened with both battery's. I'm not sure what I can do and my blackberry has gone way past its warranty with the supplier but a friend told me I should still have a year warranty with the blackberry company, I am still paying for the phone as I purchased it at the beginning of the year
