View 1 RepliesSo I plugged my x10 into the computer today to update the software. PC Companion did nothing for me when I used it before, so I used the update service directly from SE. Unfortunately, wasn't available this time, so I gave using PC Companion another shot. So my phone got about halfway through the update process before saying an error occurred, and the update couldn't be completed. So I went back a step and redid the prepping 3 times in a row, each time telling me to go back. Now my phone wont even turn on, I feel a vibration when I press the on button but that's it. The computer isn't even recognizing the phone as an x10 anymore, and whenever I try to do PCC recognition, it won't connect. SO all in all, PC Companion screwed me over.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the Ovi Suite on my PC, connected my E71. That worked. Then downloaded Ovi Maps. It just places it on my desktop but doesn't do anything with it. So I decided to copy that file to my phone (mem card), and hit Install on the nokia_maps_3.03_10wk11_b04_s60_3.1_rom.Nocs.sis under App. Manager. It does lots of things that you would expect when something is installing, but then it ends. The application still says Not Installed, and there is no trace of the installed application anywhere else. When I then go into the Ovi Suite it doesn't tell or show anything remotely related to installing the app of cards, while I though a Maps Installer would kick in. Just tells me it's not installed and redirects me to this site for online surveys and online surveys.

I am on product code 0599399, updated my Ovi suite to Nokia Suite 3.3.86 and started the process to download and update my N8 running on anna to belle. It finished downloading the large update file and went through the process of backing up my contents and after that I got an error message "Something went wrong" Next screen it tells me that "Your phone is restarting" (with a couple of warning messages) but I have been on this screen for at least 45 mins now without any progress. My phone is still behaving as per norm but I'm not sure about what to do next. It doesn't seem like it had started the process of updating my phone yet but I'm being given instructions not to touch the phone or even disconnect the cable.

My Blackberry 9780 Bold got really wet this afternoon because I was walking in the rain. Now when i start it, it will reboot to about 10% and than start to reboot again, and again. It's stuck in a cycle of reboots. I tried connecting my blackberry whit my pc but the pc couldn't find the blackberry. I had a brand new battery laying around so I put that in but it did nothing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo we're all probably pretty much busy with updating our Lumia Handsets with the Cyan update.I rolled back my DP to 8.0 and updated just fine, however after resetting the phone and setting it up by telling it to restore it from the backup, it gets stuck around at 25% and fails to move ahead.
I keep getting a message after a while saying that the restore process is taking unusually long and if I'd like to skip restoring instead. After waiting for approx. 30 mins once, and then doing it again and waiting for almost an hour, I've now initiated a reset on the phone a third time.
Having issues restoring from their backup? (Note: I moved to 8.0 from DP last week and then updated to 8.1 DP again and did a restore then and it had worked perfectly at the time without issues.
Today my JB'd 3G on 3.1.2 went into a funky state and I attempted to reboot. Since then I've been stuck on the Apple logo at start up and nothing.
So, i put the phone in DFU mode and Itunes 9 is giving me the option to "Update & Restore", HOWEVER, I dont want to do this because I want to stay on 3.1.2 for obvious reasons. I also have been reading stuff about SHSH but I have no clue what this is so one can assume I never did anything prior regarding SHSH.
When itunes has the pop up on the screen saying "update and restore" can I hold "shift and click "update&restore" to choose a 312 ipsw, or is that option only available if restoring without being in DFU mode.
I have created the Restore from backup... with Sony Bridge for Mac. All seems ok.
When i wanted to do Restore from backup... i was able to see my restore point.. i can select it.. restore process goes well .. all DONE.

BUT NOTHING RESTORED... not a single photo.. contact... app... anything...

I was updating My Blackberry Bold 9790 software from its Blackberry 7 OS to 7.1, no once the update started it notified me that I wont be able to use the phone for two hours. It started backing up my data first, it however stopped backing up data when the power in the phone went out, and didn't continue upon me putting it on charge and has been stopped the process altogether, it has been at 10% of backing up process for two days straight.

Then I turned it on again and nothing changed, it went back to the factory reset process with the android logo.

Then I tried pressing the hard reset button located where the 64 GB SD Card is, and still nothing after turning it on again. Once again the cell phone restarted the factory reset process and right now another four horus passed and nothing.

The phone is heating so I am using a laptop cooler to cool the phone and avoid the heating process that is caused by the factory reset process.I still havent tried to remove the SD card.and tried to restart the process.
