May 6, 2012I'm trying to update my Iphone to 5.1 and it sent me to restore. Ive restored it 6 times the message keeps coming up for sort of reason?

Jul 30, 2014So we're all probably pretty much busy with updating our Lumia Handsets with the Cyan update.I rolled back my DP to 8.0 and updated just fine, however after resetting the phone and setting it up by telling it to restore it from the backup, it gets stuck around at 25% and fails to move ahead.
I keep getting a message after a while saying that the restore process is taking unusually long and if I'd like to skip restoring instead. After waiting for approx. 30 mins once, and then doing it again and waiting for almost an hour, I've now initiated a reset on the phone a third time.
Having issues restoring from their backup? (Note: I moved to 8.0 from DP last week and then updated to 8.1 DP again and did a restore then and it had worked perfectly at the time without issues.

Mar 12, 2010Today my JB'd 3G on 3.1.2 went into a funky state and I attempted to reboot. Since then I've been stuck on the Apple logo at start up and nothing.
So, i put the phone in DFU mode and Itunes 9 is giving me the option to "Update & Restore", HOWEVER, I dont want to do this because I want to stay on 3.1.2 for obvious reasons. I also have been reading stuff about SHSH but I have no clue what this is so one can assume I never did anything prior regarding SHSH.
When itunes has the pop up on the screen saying "update and restore" can I hold "shift and click "update&restore" to choose a 312 ipsw, or is that option only available if restoring without being in DFU mode.

It finished downloading the large update file and went through the process of backing up my contents and after that I got an error message "Something went wrong" Next screen it tells me that "Your phone is restarting" (with a couple of warning messages) but I have been on this screen for at least 45 mins now without any progress. My phone is still behaving as per norm but I'm not sure about what to do next. It doesn't seem like it had started the process of updating my phone yet but I'm being given instructions not to touch the phone or even disconnect the cable.

Nov 1, 2010I am trying to flash my C702 using the Update Service, however the update fails during the "Downloading" part, before the actual flashing begins. I have investigated this using wireshark and have discovered that the update program encounters a 404 file not found error. My internet connection is definitely working. Presumably the 404 error is why the update process fails. Is there any workaround I can use, or any chance that someone at Sony Ericsson could look into this matter?

So my phone got about halfway through the update process before saying an error occurred, and the update couldn't be completed. So I went back a step and redid the prepping 3 times in a row, each time telling me to go back. Now my phone wont even turn on, I feel a vibration when I press the on button but that's it. The computer isn't even recognizing the phone as an x10 anymore, and whenever I try to do PCC recognition, it won't connect. SO all in all, PC Companion screwed me over.
