View 1 Repliesbought my bold 9780 yesterday and now i want to add some applications but i am receving an error at BlackBerry App World setup step 2 it says "App World Web Plugin ErrorAn error has occurred communicating with the BlackBerry App World Web plugin. restart your device and try again. If you have content protection enabled on your device, please disable and try again. "i am using BOLD 9780?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy BB ID works on the Blackberry website, but I can't use the BB ID on my new Bold 9900 (it says 'unable to log into your Blackberry ID account'). Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. I'm unable to access Blackberry protect and 'my world' in Blackberry App World, or do anything that involves using my BB ID on my phone

The new phone I was given had a fault and I was told that this is very common with refurbished phones which is what you are given when you claim a new phone with insurance with my network.Today I got my second refurbished phone and am currently trying to set everything up i.e.. The new facebook, bbm, and various other apps I've lived with for a year on my old phone.The problem I'm faced with is that every time I try to download anything via appworld, it comes to a certain point, mostly when trying to log in or sometimes it gets as far as starting to download yet not further than that, the screen freezes and pop up announces that:'blackberry app world is having trouble connecting to the blackberry app world server. Verify your network connections and try again'So..Is this a fault in the phone maybe because it's a refurbished phone and therefore not reliable or truly 'new', or is there anything I could do/try to get some apps!?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn December, I was issued a new Bold 9930 from Verizon because the one I had stopped working within the first 2 weeks of me having it. After being issued the new phone, I have been unable to connect to the app world or anything on the Blackberry networks. It says, "BlackBerry App Wold is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again." I took it in to Verizon and they were not able to do anything to get it to work.

Anybody knows how to fix this? or any work around. For the browser, it was the same as for these 3 apps, but telco CS asked me to delete one service book, then try again and it worked since then.
is there any service i have to delete? just for these applications to work?
upgraded bb app world ver 4.0.0.63 today and now not able to see the app icon. it's not hidden nor is lying in any of the folders as i have checked the same. the application is visible in the options->device->application management.

I believe that it has been stopped behind some firewall, as when I try to open it from wireless network I can open it smoothly but only when I try to open it from my blackberry service it cud'nt open.I had no prb with my previous version when it was working on my phn smoothly but only it was a latset update I updated and it had this problem.

Apps installed and their version if possible: I have no Applications anymore because i completely wiped my handheld of any and phone would load for minitues and minutes before letting me do anything before this issue started?My phone will not allow me to connect to the mobile network..,steps ive taken:
-removed battery
-removed sim card and re-inserted sim card
-ran a diagnostics test
-called verizon
-went to a verizon wireless store
my service provider said I either reload OS or replace the device.I wish I don't have to do this. Could this be the device defect?

Device Info:
Carrier : Vodafone India
Model: BB Bold 9650 OS5.0.0.975
I bought the device off a top seller on ebay ( has 99.7% feedback and has sold around 50 of the same devices so far). It is a Verizon unlocked BB Bold 9650.I have registered the device on my Carrier. Contacted the carrier many times and they say my BIS has been activated. But it says "edge" in small, and BIS status as not connected.
Things i have tried so far:
1) Tried my SIM on a friend's BB and BIS works fine
2) Tried battery pull several times.. no use
3) Registered from the Host routing table.. says "Registration message sent" but no replies
4) my HRT and Service books are empty
5) Have Network settings to Automatic, GSM/UMTS, 2G
6) Data services are ON
7) Firewall disabled and no IT policy
8) Tried wiping device twice
9) Tried creating a new account on my Service provider BIS registration site.. it says my device has not been registered with the service provider?
I just bought a blackberry bold and it not connecting to the internet. theres a message that says "unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. if the problem persists please contact your service provider." i did that but it didnt help.

without Wi-Fi. I have already tried:
1. Unplug the battery multiple times
2. Host Table Resend
3. Resend Service Books
I am able to make calls etc. but e-mail internet only works when I use my home Wi-Fi connection but not using 3G. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what I could try. I have called AT&T and the only suggestion they gave is to wipe the device which seems rather drastic.
Blackberry Internet Service - Connected Blackberry Enterprise Server - Not Connected Unable to connect BES. Have resend the service books. Also, have hard rebooted my phone.
P.S. Need BES in order to use Enterprise IM. Currently it say "Data Services Unavailable".
I am using Blackberry 9900 smartphone with OS version7.0 Bundle 1346 (V7.0.0.261, Platform 5.0.0.464)and i was initially able to connect to internet via apps and browser but after a while, i am unable to connect to internet via the application in the phone such as Facebook, Twitter, What's App and etc. I try 3G and wifi with no success but weird thing is i am still able to do web browsing via the blackberry native web browser. Have Google and found user with similar problem in the link [URL]The only way that i can able to use the app again is by taking out the battery and put it back to reboot the device. Then i will be able to use it for 5-8 hours where this problem will happen again.
