I've trying to use the Blackberry Desktop Software but when connecting my 9930 to the PC with a USB cable, the PC doesn't recognize that the phone is connected. It does charge the battery though.
When I tried loading the software, it say unable to connect to JVM, did every step available online and it does not work. I am from South Africa and they say I need to get a swop out phone from U.S RIM as is was from a faulty batch?
i have a problem with my 9930 not connecting to BIS. i'm in nigeria and my phone runs on the MTN Nigeria network. I have noticed this is now a common problem with 9930s running on thesame network in nigeria. the phone is a 9930 verizon running OS 7 on the MTN N network. i have used this same phone in glasgow the last time and it had no problems but on returning to nigeria the BIS stopped working. i dont have any other problems with this phone as much as i know.
i just switched from a 9360 to a 9930. i was trying to re-intsall the applications that i have downloaded before (such as facebook twitter and whatsapp), but there are a few applcations that just refuse to load. the app world would pop up "There was a problem installing ----application name-----. please try again. "

I'm having some trouble with my Bold's wifi and I'm not really sure where to begin - the wifi will work for a few minutes (browser displays the wifi icon), but then it'll suddenly disconnect, even if I'm still actively using it. I'm not really sure where to begin, but once it disconnects, i usually dissconnect the wifi and re-connect it, and it continues like that
i've just bought the 9790 and i'm still figuring out how to connect to wi-fi while turning off my data plan. so far, when i turn off the data plan, i'm unable to connect to wi-fi.
Apps installed and their version if possible: I have no Applications anymore because i completely wiped my handheld of any and phone would load for minitues and minutes before letting me do anything before this issue started?My phone will not allow me to connect to the mobile network..,steps ive taken:

I am soo angry at Blackberry, and its internet problems, i use my phone for jaority use at work !! for which i use my phone as as and when for emails and instant messaging around the business.
I bought the device off a top seller on ebay ( has 99.7% feedback and has sold around 50 of the same devices so far). It is a Verizon unlocked BB Bold 9650.I have registered the device on my Carrier. Contacted the carrier many times and they say my BIS has been activated. But it says "edge" in small, and BIS status as not connected.
Things i have tried so far:
1) Tried my SIM on a friend's BB and BIS works fine
2) Tried battery pull several times.. no use
3) Registered from the Host routing table.. says "Registration message sent" but no replies
4) my HRT and Service books are empty
5) Have Network settings to Automatic, GSM/UMTS, 2G
6) Data services are ON
7) Firewall disabled and no IT policy
8) Tried wiping device twice
9) Tried creating a new account on my Service provider BIS registration site.. it says my device has not been registered with the service provider?
I just bought a blackberry bold and it not connecting to the internet. theres a message that says "unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. if the problem persists please contact your service provider." i did that but it didnt help.
I am using BB Bold9700. Once I connected wifi everything is OK and same time I can browse through it. After 2nd day same wifi showing as connected, then trying to brose showing "Unable to connect to the internet please try again later. I this problem persists please contact your provider"
I am using AT&T as my carrier and I am unable to connect to internet (Web Browser or e-mail) without Wi-Fi. I have already tried:
1. Unplug the battery multiple times
2. Host Table Resend
3. Resend Service Books
I am able to make calls etc. but e-mail internet only works when I use my home Wi-Fi connection but not using 3G. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what I could try. I have called AT&T and the only suggestion they gave is to wipe the device which seems rather drastic.

Blackberry Internet Service - Connected Blackberry Enterprise Server - Not Connected Unable to connect BES. Have resend the service books. Also, have hard rebooted my phone.
P.S. Need BES in order to use Enterprise IM. Currently it say "Data Services Unavailable".
I am using Blackberry 9900 smartphone with OS version7.0 Bundle 1346 (V7.0.0.261, Platform 5.0.0.464)and i was initially able to connect to internet via apps and browser but after a while, i am unable to connect to internet via the application in the phone such as Facebook, Twitter, What's App and etc. I try 3G and wifi with no success but weird thing is i am still able to do web browsing via the blackberry native web browser. Have Google and found user with similar problem in the link [URL]The only way that i can able to use the app again is by taking out the battery and put it back to reboot the device. Then i will be able to use it for 5-8 hours where this problem will happen again.
My Bold 9700 is no longer able to connect to my Yahoo mail account. I keep getting incorrect username or password errors, seems to have started since I updated my phone yesterday. I confirmed that the address and password are correct. i checked with Yahoo and the problem seems not to be with them.
For several weeks have been unable to connect to email settings to change signatures, etc. Message reads: Your device encountered a problem with this application,s server. Select OK and repeat the action to try again.I may try to reinstall OS, but will wait a couple days for the "easy" answer.One complicating factor: I travel in and out of Indonesia with work and change providers every time. My gmail always seems to migrate ok, as they are registered on both. Maybe it makes a difference.
Im at a hotel in florida and my 9700 connects to the wifi, but when i go to load an internet page it takes about 2 minutes and then says unable to connect to server or something along those lines, the internet works perfectly fine on my laptop.

For some unknown reason my Blackberry refuses to connect to my home Wifi. The Wireless AP is a Buffalo Nfinity B/G/N and I have several other devices connected, two Wireless N laptops and a Wireless G Ethernet bridge, no issues at all there.The phone sees the network, asks me for the passphrase and tries to connect, but then fails with "Unable to obtain IP address".MAC filtering isn't enabled and the AP is currently set to WPA2-PSK AES but changing that to other options seems to have no effect, same failure message on the Blackberry each time.
I have an 8900 w OS 5, but recently set up a 9780 and it was able to connect to EXCH account using OWA web address. Does this mean I can save some money with my EXCH host and not have to pay for BB sync? (assuming I upgrade my handest obviously)
I am using a Blackberry Bold 9780 for 10 months now, offlate having a difficulty connecting to the internet using Wifi connectivitty. I have not updated any software ever. The device shows it is connected to the Wifi router but when I try to open any websites, returns a blank page.
