View 4 RepliesI have a big issue.I purchased a BB 9930 from ebay that was confirmed to be unlocked.When I received it there was a SIM-Card (Sprint) inserted and it also had a Sprint logo on the phone... Anyway, I swapped the SIM-Card from my carrier in Switzerland (Europe) and everything looked OK as I was able to make phone calls, use the BB-App and so on. The problem is that I cant go online with browser and I cant use email services. I have sent "Host Routing Services" doesnt work.I have tried to Update Profile/PRL "The profile could not be updated. Please try again later. If problem persists, contact your wireless service provider" I have pulled batt. I have tried to register my BB over the website of my carrier with PIN code and Imei and it denies it because the phone isnt registered with the carrier... and so on tried about a 100 times! Of course I have the Blackberry service option with my carrier.My provider says that the former carrier has to give the BB free for them to register my phone... Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Blackberry Bold 9000 and got everything migrated from my old Pearl and I have everything working good except the Blackberry Messenger. I upgraded it to 5.0.0.57 and all I get is the Blackberry Messenger License Agreement and it will not allow me to click on either button, ``I Accept``or ``Ì Do Not Accept`` .Is there something I`m missing or what.... This is very frustrating as it is my only way of communicating while I`m working.

I was successfully using Nokia Maps GPS navigation having purchased a license key for UK/Ireland in January 2011. I have an external bluetooth GPS device. Howver, the Maps license key has now expired (as expected, it was a 1-year licence). Without a license I cannot use the voice-guided navigation function.When I go throoug the phone menus to purchase a 1-year license again, I get to the menu that asks which payment method I wan to use (I select Visa). At this point the screen just refreshes, with no message or error code. I am not asked for payment card details. I cannot get past the "payment method" menu.This process worked just fine for me in Jan 2011 when I first purchased a license, and other web browing functions using the built-in web browser are just fine. I have tried refreshing the Nokia software (It was already at V6.55, which is the latest level).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a bit perplexed by this DRM situation. I downloaded an audiobook from my local library in .wma format. It is a DRM protected file. The file plays in Ovi Player without any problems. I transferred the file to my E71 and the file doesn't play. I get an error stating: "Unable to acquire license. Unknown content provider." What is strange about the situation is that I have used the above steps to transfer and listen to dozens of audiobooks from the same source without any problems. Now, I can't get any to work. I've tried several without any luck.I recently reinstalled Ovi Player on my computer and recently had my phone serviced by Nokia, which could have changed a setting somewhere. I'm not sure if that's the problem. When I open the file properties in Ovi Player, here is what Ovi Player says about the DRM protection:
DRM Protected: Yes
Remaining Play Rights: -1
Remaining Burn Rights: -1
Remaining Transfer Rights: -1
To summarize, I used to be able to play DRM protected media from this same source with no problems. Sometimes I would get the above error and a reset of my network connection would fix the problem. Now, no luck with an easy fix. Is there a setting in Ovi Player that I'm missing? A setting on my E71 that I'm missing? Why did something that worked a month ago stop working?

The main reason for doing so was the internet and BBM applications.Upon attempting to register with Orange for BIS (£5 per month deducted from your credit - quite good value i though) by ringing through to customer services and asking them to activate it, i was told it would take 24 hours. I've been told this everyday up to now (28th September 2010) and so far it has not been activated. Today however i did feel asif i got somewhere as i recieved a message from Blackberry saying that my handheld had been registered with my network provider. But still nothing is working. My credit has not been deducted, but i do now have "GPRS" in the top right hand of my screen whereas before i had "gprs". I've tried to activate my BIS through the www.blackberry.orange.co.uk website but I just get told..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI changed my phone from iphone to blackberry Curve 9220. I am using Airtel postpaid plan for data. Not, I am able to see edge in blackberry but I guess if it is not caps (EDGE), it means service provider is not registering it.
As checked in various forums, I did follow KB00510- to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network.
I also tried to follow KB05000 but couldn't becuase I was never able to set any Internet service e-mail account. I also tried following KB02830 - sending the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service but couldn't because I don't see an option of choosing Internet mail account. When i click setup-> email accounts, it automatically takes me to enterprise account. I also tried doing it from provider's website (url...) but the dialogue box asked me repeat the step of registering at Host routing table, which i already did earlier.
I have a BB 9630 Tour Verizon which I am using in India on the Vodafone network.The phone was working fine for the first 10 days or so.I am unable to use the data services on the phone for the past 7 days. I have checked with vodafone and they say that they have checked their systems and as per their system all my services are active.The have asked me to hard re-boot the phone by removing the battery and SIM card. But this has not solved the problem.Then they asked me to go to options -> advanced options -> host routing table ->register now. The screen then shows "Registration message sent". But nothing happens beyond that and I have not received any message from BB that my phone has been registered.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have attempted to register my new Photon Q numerous times, logging out, logging back in, and approaching from several different angles using different "Register" links on different pages, and trying MEID and IMEI.When using MEID HEX the server will check the S/N and reply that my IMEI S/N is in warranty, then several seconds later it will overlay the screen with a complaint from the server:"There was an issue with the serial number you entered or it was blank. Please try again."One can dismiss that complaint and continue with the attempted registration, selecting carrier, MFN, and Primary Device, adding purchase date and clicking submit, but that only take one to abject failure:"There has been an error with your request."Perhaps it is because the Photon Q is so new? Perhaps it is because your registration page has a problem.
