I am in UK now and bought a T mobile SIM in order to use my BBM, all vain it says sim registration failed.However, I have lyca sim which is reading but lyca does not have BB service.
View 5 RepliesBought an unlocked Storm 9530 yesterday and popped in my T-Mobile SIM card. I could text, but not place any calls. When I tried calling, I received a "No circuit/channel available". At the call screen I see a a phone number that isn't mine. After I gave up I turned off the phone for a while and let it charge. Upon booting up I got an error message and my SIM refused to work at all. It says SOS at the top right and even though my mobile network is on, it just doesn't do anything. I have the mode set to GSM/UMTS and 3G/2G. I can't even select a network manually. I get an error that says "Unable to acquire network."

I bought a Blackberry Storm 2 9950 from Verizone in USA 16 months ago, and after two months that I went to live to Mexico. I got my BB unlocked and I was using Movistar services with out any issues until two months ago, that I started facing issues to get connected.I went to check this with Movistar carrier here in Mexico, but support guy told me that because it is a device from other company they can not help me with any configuration issues, or support for it. He suggested me to throw it to the garbage and buy another from its company.

The main reason for doing so was the internet and BBM applications.Upon attempting to register with Orange for BIS (£5 per month deducted from your credit - quite good value i though) by ringing through to customer services and asking them to activate it, i was told it would take 24 hours. I've been told this everyday up to now (28th September 2010) and so far it has not been activated. Today however i did feel asif i got somewhere as i recieved a message from Blackberry saying that my handheld had been registered with my network provider. But still nothing is working. My credit has not been deducted, but i do now have "GPRS" in the top right hand of my screen whereas before i had "gprs". I've tried to activate my BIS through the www.blackberry.orange.co.uk website but I just get told..

As checked in various forums, I did follow KB00510- to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network.
I also tried to follow KB05000 but couldn't becuase I was never able to set any Internet service e-mail account. I also tried following KB02830 - sending the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service but couldn't because I don't see an option of choosing Internet mail account. When i click setup-> email accounts, it automatically takes me to enterprise account. I also tried doing it from provider's website (url...) but the dialogue box asked me repeat the step of registering at Host routing table, which i already did earlier.
I have a BB 9630 Tour Verizon which I am using in India on the Vodafone network.The phone was working fine for the first 10 days or so.I am unable to use the data services on the phone for the past 7 days. I have checked with vodafone and they say that they have checked their systems and as per their system all my services are active.The have asked me to hard re-boot the phone by removing the battery and SIM card. But this has not solved the problem.Then they asked me to go to options -> advanced options -> host routing table ->register now. The screen then shows "Registration message sent". But nothing happens beyond that and I have not received any message from BB that my phone has been registered.

Please try again."One can dismiss that complaint and continue with the attempted registration, selecting carrier, MFN, and Primary Device, adding purchase date and clicking submit, but that only take one to abject failure:"There has been an error with your request."Perhaps it is because the Photon Q is so new? Perhaps it is because your registration page has a problem.

Since the update I am unable to see any of the contacts in Blackberry Desktop Software on my Mac. I have tried a restore of just the 'Address Book - All' and still I can't see anything even though it states that there are 59 records.
Please tell me I haven't lost them all or whether I am doing something wrong.
Recently unlocked Storm 9530 from Verizon and elected to try Simple Mobile BB unlimited. Cannot use e mail on phone because, according to Simple, Verion has not released the service book for e mail on this phone. Is there a solution to this issue other than pulling out my hair trying to pry information from Verizon ?
