View 9 RepliesAfter updating OS Software on my Bold 9650, I am promted to go to the Setup Wizard to setup my email account. At the Email Account Activation Screen, I am prompted to typen in the passwords for each of my email accounts. When I do this, I get the message "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again". I have verified that the passwords are correct. Not sure what to do next.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTwo major issues occur after an upgrade to OS6.
1. Ever since the upgrade from OS5 to OS6, I've been getting memory issues when simply browsing the internet. U get the message "The memory available on your device is low. Please close some tabs." just reading the news.
2. This is urgent. I just updated my OS6 and now my e-mail doesn't even work. Whenever I try to set it up under e-mail accounts "internet mail account", it just freezes or closes.
I've looked at the possible go to "mobile.blackberry.com" and go to communications but I don't see that option available. I also tried battery pulling many times to restart my e-mail service. This is coming close for me in drawing the line for BlackBerry phones.
1. I updated my phone yesterday and one of my email icons has disappeared. I have deleted it and reinstalled but still not there even though i can still recieve emails.
2. I am self employed and use the mobile for work. i have just set up a website and email address with uk-cheapest and get get the email to load onto my blackberry. it says invalid email or password even though these are correct.
Just bought a new Blackberry Bold 9790 and cannot seem to update it to 7.1. Also cannot seem to get my email accounts to activate. What should I do.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI started out with the problem that I cannot use internet or receive text/bbm/emails on my phone. I called Bell's tech support, and they had me download the new OS (which I had) and if that didn't work, use the security wipe. So, I did that. Now that my bold 9700 has been reset to the factory settings, I am trying to add my hotmail account back onto it so I can add my bbm contacts. However, when I try to go to the "email set up" my ONLY option is to add a work email account with the BES. Not at all what I want.As a side note, I also noticed that the "wireless update" option is now missing from the options menu. Also, my bb browser goes to the Bell mobile portal instead of the old homepage. Not a major issue, but just noticed the differences.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI used to have account but haven't posted in a while and can't find the info (and won't recognize my email). I will try to give as many details as possible. I have a BB 9700 with OS6 on Rogers Canada. I wanted to add a new email, so I went into the email options and it told me I needed to install an update. I said yes. It asked me four or five times to verify something (I forget exactly what it was), but it wasn't something I thought I should be worried about. It then said it completed and asked to reboot. So, I said yes.
It rebooted and the splash screen came up. The bar loaded all of the way and then it stalled for a while. Afterwards, I got an error (I believe it was App Error, but I didn't write it down because I thought it would happen again). Now, I tried to reboot in safe mode and my phone has hung on the splash screen, loaded to 100%, for over an hour. Should I wait longer? What should be the next step? I would rather keep my data (last backup was over two weeks ago.)
did anyone else have a problem with your email account after updating your Bold device software? I just update to version 6.0 Bundle 2949 and I am not receiving any Email and the software does not allow me to access the Email setup! I tried already to restore the phone setup using the restore function of Blackberry Desktop but without succes!
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn June 10, I received a notification that there was a new update available to the Internet e-mail setup application. I can't access my em-mail settings without downloading the update. I downloaded the update, and, after rebooting, there was an error message saying the software couldn't be found! There was nothing on my phone besides a white screen with a long list of software file names. I couldn't go past this screen, make phone calls, text, or even power down without pulling the battery out! BB Tech Support was able to help me reinstall the operating system and restore evertyhing through the desktop software (sadly my last sync was 4 months ago so I lost all of my apps). To this day, it still prompts me to download the update when I try to access the E-mail Setup application. I don't remember what version the update was on June 10 but the version showing is 6.11.0419.0755. I need to access this application but I'm terrified to download the update.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've seen a few post that sort-of answer my question, but none seem exactly right. I have a Bold 9700 and use a BIS to retrieve my personal email from my ISP's POP server. I don't use BES. When I'm at home or at work and have direct access to email, I'd like to turn off my bb email client. How can I do that?
In one post I saw the recommendation Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile -> set of Off. Is this enough? (I have my BB set up for wi-fi connection when I'm home, in case that makes a difference.)
I need some help setting up my Blackberry Bold 9000. I bought it off of Ebay and I have already wiped with memory. I need help setting up my email account and all of that stuff. When i try to set up a personal email address the only option I get is for setting up a Work email. This is what it says "I want to use a work email account with a BLackberry Enterprise Server"

I bought a SIM free BB 9700 to use with my 02 SIM card. I applied the unlimited BB tariff and proceeded to set up four email accounts into the device which are all for my small business. I waited to do this until I knew the O2 bolt on had been applied correctly.I set the accounts up via the BIS server website which sent them down to the device; seemingly correctly.
I received email correctly for that day and could send as well with everything syncing with my IMAP servers and Outlook.Next morning - no email delivered to the device and I was unsuccessful in sending emails as well from the device to addresses.I tried to send down the service books - I sent them but no change.I got my four email accounts working again correctly but had to delete the accounts from BIS and recreate.I could then receive email correctly for the rest of the day and could send as well with everything syncing with my IMAP servers and Outlook.
Next morning the same thing happened - no email delivered to the device and I was unsuccessful in sending emails as well from the device to addresses.I then did a complete device wipe. When the device rebooted it seemed to synchronise with the BIS and then my accounts worked again for the remainder of the day. This morning - the same thing happened - no email delivered to the device and I was unsuccessful in sending emails as well from the device to addresses.
I have now created my @o2email address and applied my long standing @hotmail.co.uk address to the 9700 and they work fine - at the moment (we'll see about tomorrow!) to see if they fail as well.I have sent test mails today from the @O2 account and hotmail to each other and also to my main small business account from my BB. The @O2 and Hotmail emails arrive both on the device and (hotmail) on outlook and the main business account arrives on outlook BUT the main business account email does NOT arrive on the device.
I cannot seemingly send anything from my business addresses anywhere (from the device) with the only outgoing addresses that work being the @O2 and @hotmail accounts on the BB - unless I do a device wipe or delete the accounts and recreate.Emails sent from the BB from either @O2 or @hotmail arrive on the BB but not anything sent to the work accounts sent from @O2 or @hotmail from the BB - although the emails sent to the work addresses WILL appear on my outlook...
Speaking to O2 has been tough and they are blaming the server people who host my small business domain and such, although I think it is more than that though I could be wrong. My server people insist it isn't their end, saying they can see from the logs that RIM seems to stop checking for emails at times they detailed when the device stopped receiving emails from one day to the next.
I'm trying to set up my personal email on the 9700, but it seems that i have only one option, Blackberry Enterprise Server option. Is that suppose to be that way? I don't seem to have the " I want to create or add an email address" option.
Im using a Bold 9700, v5.0.0.442(Platforms 5.1.0.121)

I just got a refurbished Bold after dropping my original one too many times...Now whenever I get an email on my Yahoo! account, I also get a text message from some random number with "Mobile EmailOZMAIL ########" in it, and I have no idea why.
Current OS is 4.6.0.304, I'm on AT&T.
I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem please. I have recently purchased a BB-Bold 9700 and transferred my settings from my old Bold. I have to email addresses (both Gmail) registered which appear on my main screen. The push email works fine! However, whenever I send an email, I cannot see the sent mail in the individual email folders but only in the main messages folder which is very annoying and confusing. Here's what I have tried sofar:
1. I tried to go into options and mark "No" in the section indicated hide my sent messages.
2. I tried going into filter and ticking sent messages. They appear but once you press the back button they disappear again.
3. I tried going onto the BB website and I successfully downloaded the newest software update (5.0.0.4) but still it did not resolve the problem....
Do I need to wipe off the whole device? Can someone please help because I'm very confused and frustrated with this issue.....
How do I delete an email account that does not exist in my email accoutn set up. I deleted all my email accounts from setup but on my homepage the email accoutn still shows up and I cant delete it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an email account on my Blackberry bold but I cannot access it. I tried to re-set it and I get the message "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact yahoo.ca" - this problem started after I updated my Blackberry software. I have verified my address and password, I can access it from any computer. I have an icon for the email account, but it does not receive emails/it is empty/won't send or receive messages.

View 4 Replies View RelatedUpdate last week and then one email address won't work. When I contacted server provider, they gave me server to use, port, etc. but I cannot change those on my Blackberry. (Or can't find out where to do it). When I delete and add the email address, it doesn't give me the option to put in the popmail address, or designate the proper server and port. Tried to do it on the computer but phone won't allow me to do it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have already set up 4 email accounts on my BB which I had no problem with, now I want to use email set-up wizard to delete one of my old email accounts and add another one, but everytime when I go to set up and click on the email set up, nothing comes up; sometimes it will take me to the first step which it will ask me if I want to set up an interenet email or business email, and then when I click on the interent email, it will take me back to the original set up page, thus, i can't change my current email settings or do anything.

I"m using pop3 service to my computer and my blackberry cell phone. About 2 days ago, my inmail24 pop3 service start trouble by sending same email to my blackberry cell phone as long I haven"t deleted those email via webmail. this is very annoying, i have to log in to webmail to delete all the inbox so it wont received again in my 9700. however as soon as new emails coming to my inbox, the problem arise again, it received again and again same email. my other email which i connected with push email, did not have any problem, received only once at any email and did not get any duplication received. Also my outlook at my computer is normal, receive all email only once, and did not get any duplication as my blackberry 9700 phones.
