View 1 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend left me and moved to Australia but she still likes the Bold 9900 that I bought her. It was on Rogers and worked great. Before she left, we had Rogers unlock it. She now has an account with Telstra in Brisbane. She has a new Telstra SIM installed and BBM and data work fine but not voice calls apparently. So far Telstra seems unable to help. Does anyone have an idea of why this issue would be present? Are there some advanced settings that need to be adjusted to provision on Telstra that are different than Rogers? Just to be clear, the phone is not roaming from Rogers to Telstra,it is unlocked and set-up on a Telstra account.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i've been using att for about two months now since switching from Verizon. Everything was fine at first but recently i would say within the past month i've been dropping calls and having problems with the data services. I'll be streaming slacker radio and all of a sudden it stops and i have to reboot to get it working again. The dropped calls thing is pretty much random. Im running 5.0.0.405.
Anyone else having this problem? I mean the whole surfing while talking thing is nice but if this keeps up im going to have to just bite the bullet pay the early term fee and switch back!
About a week or so ago, the handset stopped working on phone calls on my Verizon 9930. I would have to put the phone on speaker in order to hear the person on the other end. I just updated to the latest OS that was released yesterday (7.1.0.580) and the problem is still there. Can't remember what triggered the handset to stop working, as I didn't do anything different to the phone, or drop it, etc. I should add whether receiving or making the call, it doesn't work either way. Also I've tried soft pulls (alt + upper case + del) but not a battery pull. Figured the OS update worked the same as a battery pull.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 4 month old Blackberry Bold 9700 bought through Bell Mobility stopped working 2-3 weeks ago; was unable to send/receive calls or text even with the signal strength indicator showing full strength and the 3G symbol showing. Returned the phone to Bell Mobility for repairs and the phone was returned after about 2 weeks, but still not working. We could not find any scratch at all on the glass that covers the LCD display, and phone does not work, so have to wonder if they looked at the right phone. I Called the Bell Mobility service center, and they had the tech at the store reload the software again, third time this was done, still not working. Also reloading software on my phone apparently takes much longer than normal, about one hour.
Tech support at Bell finally told me the phone was not fixable, and gave me a ticket number to get a replacement phone through the Bell Mobility premium plan warranty I had purchased. Called thinking I would finally get a phone that works, but the insurance company that deals with the Bell Mobility warranty said that because the phone is under the one year manufacturers warranty they would not cover it, and it would cost me $150 if they were to replace the phone.
The customer service lady would not tell me what revisit means, but it seems to mean I will not be getting a working Blackberry any time soon. RIM also does not seem to offer or honor a warranty? I find it hard to believe that RIM offers no customer support or warranty on their Blackberry products, but could not find any information on a warranty in the booklets that came with the phone. Either way, the service rep at RIM told me they do not offer warranty repair services for their products and I would have to deal with the company that sold me the phone, Bell Mobility. These Blackberry phones are not cheap, so I cant really afford to buy a few of them for back up.
I have been a BB lover for years. My Curve 5320 served me well and I loved it. When the new Bold 9700 was released I was one of the first to get it b/c businesses were offered the opportunity to get it before individuals. I was so excited about 3G, it's sleek look, etc. My excitement has officially crashed and burned. When placing calls it will fail repeatedly before even dialing the number. It will fail during calls up to 5 and 6 times in a few minute period, which is HORRIBLE during business calls. It will lock up when I'm trying to move between apps, it will spontaneously shut itself off. I'm feeling like my BB is possessed. This is my second 9700. The first the E key would stick or repeat 20 times on a text and the calls would fail, so they diligently sent me a new one. Thankfully, I no longer have to edit every text for 100 e's (i'm stopping @ theeeeeee storeeeeeeeeeee is theeeeeeereeeeeee anything you neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed), but the failed calls thing is really pissing me off! Also, the volume on calls is really low in comparison to my Curve. To top it off, the 3G speed seems as slow as, if not slower than my former EDGE. I am hoping and praying that a software upgrade will fix all of these issues, but if it doesn't are there any suggestions as to what i can do? Other than switching to an iPhone? I for one happen to love my Qwerty keyboard and am not exactly fond of the on-screen keyboards.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Verizon Galaxy S5 running Lollipop, version 5.0. I recently performed a factory reset because the Lollipop update was completely ruining my phone, and still is. In the past few days, my mic has been acting up. I'll call someone or they'll call me, and they can't hear me at all. Speakerphone doesn't work, and neither does a headset. The mic still works, I've tested it using voice recorder and have no problems. Sometimes it randomly works, but 95% of the time it doesn't work. I tried restarting, pulling the battery, wiping cache partition, all to no avail. It worked in safe mode, but once I reinstalled one app, it stopped working again, and didn't start working after I deleted that one app and rebooted. I've had nothing but problems with Lollipop, and now I can't even use my phone anymore. I've also disabled Google Now voice recognition, noise cancellation, and voice privacy, still no luck

As of 3pm today my ear speaker stopped working but only when I make a call. I can still hear my music and sounds and ringtones but when I connect to a call it doesn't work at all.
I have tried the windex/alcohol method, tried the plugging in and unplugging ear buds, tried the turning on and off the speaker phone and still nothing works. I also tried a hard reset and still have the same problem. The only thing I haven't tried is a full blown retsore and was hoping to get an answer here before trying to restore the device. I have an iPhone 3Gs. Anyone here have any tips or thoughts as to why this stops working on calls only and works fine on everything else?
I can hear the keypad when dialing but as soon as I hit "Call" the speaker just stops working.
When I'm trying to talk on the phone mike is not working. I can hear the caller but they cannot here me. It seems phone app is the problem bc when I use different phone app it works.

I am unable to enter text during a call on blackberry curve 8530. I am trying to set up my voicemail and when it asks me to enter a number followed by the pound-sign, I am unable to enter anything. I have tried using alt lock, holding alt while pressing the number, pressing alt and then the number, and just pressing the numbered key...all to no avail.is there some setting I have on the phone that causes the keyboard to not be accessible during a call?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe vibration function of my S6 (G920l) works when I press the keyboard, when I receive SMS or WhatsApp messages, when I answer and hang up a call.
It does not work when I receive a call.

I've had an Xperia X10 Mini Pro for a while now. The last few months I have experienced that the phone stops recieving phone calls and SMS. The rest of the phone is still working and I can use apps and mobile internet so I do not notice myself that it has stoped working untill I try to make a phone call myself. The phone starts working again if I restart it (just a normal shut down and the turn it back on again). This works every time. Once restarted I normaly gets a lot of SMS's with messages on my voice mail etc.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to Lollipop, (I had 5.0.1 and no 5.1.1) my phone started doing really weird stuff. For example, two months ago, sensors stopped working in any moment and I had to reset it for normal behaviour (for a few hours or minutes, depending the day). Well, that stopped one day without doing anything dramatic (I did factory reset two or three times). But now it got even worst: the microphone just stop working while doing simple phone calls. I have tested it in whatsapp audios and android testing and everything seems fine... So I have to reset the phone and it works for a random amount of time. I think this is an Android Lollipop issue, but I haven't been able to confirm that. If so, How to manage it?

Hello everybody. I have an iPhone 4 and updated it to 5.1.1. Since then everytime someone calls me, the answer slider doesn't work !! I have to call everyone back for a week now. And sometimes during de calls the touch screen doesn't work (end+answer, end buttons). I don't have my iphone jailbroken or anything.
It is very idiotic that an update ruins your phone and you can't downgrade to a last know configuration that works.
SO... to sum up. Touch screen doesn't work when I receive a phonecall and the phone is in standby (slide to answer) and during calls.

I have searched everywhere for a solution to this problem and am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the sameproblem. During a call, when asked to enter my phone number, passcode, etc., the keypad disappears every time I try to press a key. When I get a key to press it stays on long and disrupts the call I am on. It makes it difficult to use my phone to call in to call centers as I cannot press the numeric option I need.

So I had a question regarding SMS messaging and phone calls on my iPhone 5s when connected to the wifi in my dorm room at my university. As you can assume, I have zero service when in my room which requires me to be on WiFi whenever I'm in there. The problem is, I can't send any SMS text messages or make any voice calls when on the WiFi. iMessaging works just fine, along with pretty much any other app I use (twitter, ESPN, snapchat, Soundcloud, etc.), it's just the SMS and voice calls that don't work. I'm pretty sure I've been able to FaceTime a couple times, though the connection was obviously horrific, but that still doesn't make sense then why I can't call anyone, iPhone or not, or send any SMS messages when in my dorm room. I am aware that I am updated to the latest software version, and I really don't want to have to tamper with factory resets and all that jazz,

View 17 Replies View RelatedI am using my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon) for my work and I recently noticed a flaw in the phone. Here is the scenario:
1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) Disconnect or 'End' the call # 2.
5) This will also end the call # 1 and you have lost both calls.
Here is another scenario:
1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) SWAP the calls from #2 to #1
5) End the call #1.
6) This will also end the call # 2 and you have lost both calls.
BOTTOM LINE: Disconnecting any one call during call waiting will automatically disconnect the other call as well.
