I had an iphone 4 and it worked great with my car Bluetooth. Ever since I got the iphone 5c, I cannot get phone calls incoming or outgoing, through Bluetooth. The Bluetooth works just fine for music through my phone and podcasts I have on my phone, but not phone calls. I have tried restarting and re-setting up everything to no avail.Â
View 1 RepliesI just flashed the OTA update for Android 6.0 last week on my Nexus 5 and I noticed that with the new update, phone calls no longer get routed through Bluetooth on my Mazda3. It is able to pair fine with the car and can stream music through Bluetooth, but calls do not go through.
Here is what happens: When I place a call, the audio automatically gets routed back to the phone. If the other person picks up, calls will continue going through the phone speaker unless I manually select route through Bluetooth. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't, but it does get frustrating trying this workaround especially while driving.
I tried unpairing and re-pairing bluetooth with the car, cleared the data and cache of the Bluetooth app on the phone, and even tried a factory reset, but the problem still persists. For the record, when I did this with Lollipop 5.1.1, it worked without a hitch.

The issue is when I'm doing things on the phone and using my headset people tell me they can't hear me or I cut out really bad. It doesn't do it every time but it happens a lot.
I'm running stock lollipop and on Verizon. I got the phone with 4.4.2 but as soon as I turned it on it got lollipop so not sure if it was a issue before. I have had the phone for 2 months now.
I have done a factory reset after the update to see if that would work...
Both devices updated to latest OS Lollipop 5.1 on Turbo and 5.1.1 on Moto 360.
Making phone calls using hand set, everything seems fine. Then two about 10 seconds into the call I notice that I can't hear anything in the Turbo handset earpiece. When I look at the setting on the phone screen I notice that the connection has switched from "handset" to bluetooth. The only bluetooth device that is connected is the Moto 360.
When I switch it back to "handset" or "speaker" it works fine again. And when I switch back, the person on the other end of the call says: "Now I can hear you much better again, for a time you were very soft/far away" -- I'm assuming that is because they are hearing my voice picked up by my watch's microphone and not my droid turbo.
How to stop this from happening?
As we all know Nokia has serious trouble with their new phone models and bluetooth.If you happen to have a system (phone and some other device) that are working together without any trouble, please tell your phone model (new), firmware and other device here.This way we might find devices that work together with our phones without spending hundreds of euros or dollars in vain in trial and error.At the moment I don't have any bluetooth device that would work together with my E52 without trouble, so I personally can not give an example to begin with...
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust got a Kenwood car stereo put in my car with Bluetooth, USB and calling support for phones. The calling feature works just fine but when I try and stream Pandora I can't hit play. It stays there, no sound and wont let it play. I hit the play button, it blinks as if it has been touched but then doesn't turn into the pause button and doesn't even start attempting to play music. If I go to Bluetooth and uncheck the media box and check it again it will start playing but three songs later or so and it stops playing, back to the original symptoms. I tried bypassing Bluetooth and using the USB but that audio gives me the same problems.

Since changing to a Z3+ these notifications have stopped. If I search through the folders of the MMI system I can find the new message, however there is no initial alert that a new message has arrived and in the default inbox the MMI system says "no messages to display". I do however receive a notification when an SMS arrived. Bluetooth settings on the phone show that MAP is active.

For example, with AT&T VM, it says press 7 to delete the message. I press 7, the phone makes the tone associated with 7, but doesn't do the action associated with 7. It will do it with other phone trees too, like "press 1 for English", etc. The numbers that don't work vary as well, and sometimes it works fine.

I would have to put the phone on speaker in order to hear the person on the other end. I just updated to the latest OS that was released yesterday (7.1.0.580) and the problem is still there. Can't remember what triggered the handset to stop working, as I didn't do anything different to the phone, or drop it, etc. I should add whether receiving or making the call, it doesn't work either way. Also I've tried soft pulls (alt + upper case + del) but not a battery pull. Figured the OS update worked the same as a battery pull.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI live in Downtown Los Angeles, so reception isn't a problem. I usually always get full bars. However, when talking on long phone calls 20+ minutes with full bars, my phone will just cut off and say call failed. Then I have no reception, then it just comes back.
Is this a iPhone issue or a ATT issue? I have an odd suspicion it's my phone because it occurs so frequently, but Ive had difficulty asking the apple bar to replace my phone just because of reception issues.
Bluetooth does not work. Under settings the bluetooth indicator says "off." When I click on bluetooth though, it goes to the bluetooth page with the wheel automatically spinning without prompting me to turn it on or off. It does not say searching for any devices, however the wheel at the top beside bluetooth still spins. Both bluetooth headsets I have used before with the iphone work with all other phones in the house. This problem started about a week ago and I have had my phone for almost a year, never had this problem before. I have tried a hard reset, restoring to factory settings, reseting all settings, switching to airplane mode, but nothing seems to work as it still does the same thing. I am running iOS 5.1.

View 2 Replies View RelatedNever had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.
I Lost my phone yesterday I tracked it through the find my iphone app. It pops up but says offline. phone is still receiving calls it rings 4 times then goes to voicemail, so I know its on.

I have had an original iPhone and an iPhone 3gs. Now I have an iPhone 4. I drive a Corolla with bluetooth in the steering wheel. When I am listening to music with the phone plugged in via the AUX jack, it used to automatically switch to the car speaker and the car mic. Now with the new phone, whenever I listen to music and answer the phone, the car speaker picks it up, but the phone mic remains. On top of that, the people I talk to say there is an echo, so I'm thinking its maybe the noise canceling mic on the phone? I took the phone to the Apple store and the guy pretty much blew me off and made a minimal effort.

The mic works OK in apps like Skype, etc. I tried the cardboard trick and it worked for one call and then it stopped working again. I then decided to buy a bluetooth headset and work around the iPhone 4's faulty, but to my surprise that isn't working either.
