i just bought a i phone 4s. i connect the Bluetooth of my phone to my mac book. but everytime i want to send a file my macbook says "the receiving device does not have the required necessities" why is this ??
Bluetooth does not work. Under settings the bluetooth indicator says "off." When I click on bluetooth though, it goes to the bluetooth page with the wheel automatically spinning without prompting me to turn it on or off. It does not say searching for any devices, however the wheel at the top beside bluetooth still spins. Both bluetooth headsets I have used before with the iphone work with all other phones in the house. This problem started about a week ago and I have had my phone for almost a year, never had this problem before. I have tried a hard reset, restoring to factory settings, reseting all settings, switching to airplane mode, but nothing seems to work as it still does the same thing. I am running iOS 5.1.
I have had an original iPhone and an iPhone 3gs. Now I have an iPhone 4. I drive a Corolla with bluetooth in the steering wheel. When I am listening to music with the phone plugged in via the AUX jack, it used to automatically switch to the car speaker and the car mic. Now with the new phone, whenever I listen to music and answer the phone, the car speaker picks it up, but the phone mic remains. On top of that, the people I talk to say there is an echo, so I'm thinking its maybe the noise canceling mic on the phone? I took the phone to the Apple store and the guy pretty much blew me off and made a minimal effort.
My iPhone 4s Bluetooth is not working, I have ios 5.1 but just can't get my Sony erricson hbh-pv715 headset to connect to the phone, the phone can't find any Bluetooth device
as title states, after update to 5.1.1 non of my bluetooth devices work. Including both car bluetooth devices (both built-in and blue-ant) and headset.
I bought a 4s a month ago. Its never been droped, jailbroken or tampered with in any way. It has the latest software 5.1.1.Recently I tried to use the Bluetooth but was SHOCKED to find out that this 600 quid phone could'nt find or pair with any Bluetooth device.Trust me I turned the pairing device on lol also tryed it on a number of phones, and all I get is "searching" and the round spinner spin's on into infinity...
My iPhone 4 microphone isn't working during calls, the people on the other end can't hear me. The mic works OK in apps like Skype, etc. I tried the cardboard trick and it worked for one call and then it stopped working again. I then decided to buy a bluetooth headset and work around the iPhone 4's faulty, but to my surprise that isn't working either. Even with the Bluetooth headset I can hear the other people but they can't hear me. Is there any way to get this working?
I just installed a Sony XNV-770BT in dash Nav/Receiver with bluetooth capability in my vehicle. Both my wife and I have the iPhone 4S with AT&T. The caller id name/number will show up on the iphone, but will not pass through to the Sony unit, until after you answer the call. (This of course defeats the whole purpose of caller id!) Before you answer the call it says "Withheld", which is the Sony term for blocked, I guess.
It seems that there are quite a few issues with various iphones not passing the caller id info through to bluetooth devices, but I have not been able to find a solution to my specific problem. I called Sony and they offered to send me a new unit after I remove the one I just installed and return it to them, because they said the caller id feature is supposed to work with the iphone 4s. But this is a lot of trouble to go through only to find out the new unit acts the same way and it is really an iphone issue. The caller id pass through does not work with either mine or my wife's phone - I did the recent iOS 5.1 update and my wife has not. Here are the bluetooth profiles that the Sony unit supports:
Compatible Bluetooth® Profiles : A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)1.2
AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile)1.3
HFP (Handsfree Profile)1.5
OPP (Object Push Profile)
PBAP (Phone Book Access Profile)
We also downloaded our phonebooks into the Sony and and it does not make a difference if the call comes from a phonebook contact or not...
After receiving my new iPhone4, the caller ID has not worked via blue-tooth in my car. The readout just shows "incoming call". Sometimes there is just a huge alphanumeric number where the caller name should be.
I have seen a few people mention it on some car forums but was wondering how wide spread it is. I have a Dodge truck with Uconnect and I have seen people with BMW's and Mercedes complaining too.
Before updating my iPhone 4S's software to 5.1 the Bluetooth connected to my vehichle's Bluetooth radio and worked perfectly. Now if I receive or make a call, the Bluetooth connects and rings through, but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. Also, my music will no longer play through the vehicle (which worked perfectly before the update). The song title shows up on the vehicle's radio but no audio. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth but nothing seems to help.
PS On a side note, this update made an amazing difference on my battery life on my iPhone 4S. I used to charge my phone every night and have about 40% remaining at the end of the day...now it's about 85% left at the end of the day with the same amount of usage!
I recently bought an iphone with the sole purpose of being able to use the facetime function (as my family life on the other side of the world) I admit I hadn't done alot of reserch into the subject but was very suprised to realise that bluetooth on an iphone doesn't function as bluetooth does on any other mobile I have used. Will this ever change? My major issue is not the file sharing (which I'll just have to cut back on) but the hands free option of using bluetooth in my VW. My car cannot seem to find my iphone although the settings are all on?
Since i updated my Iphone 4S to 5.1.1 my bluetooth audio does not work with my pioneer avic930bt head unit. Phone calls work fine over the bluetooth, but i cannot stream the audio to the pioneer. Yet if i take my iphone to my wifes Acura, it streams fine.
I had an iphone 4 and it worked great with my car Bluetooth. Ever since I got the iphone 5c, I cannot get phone calls incoming or outgoing, through Bluetooth. The Bluetooth works just fine for music through my phone and podcasts I have on my phone, but not phone calls. I have tried restarting and re-setting up everything to no avail.Â
Got a new Xperia ray a week ago and everything is fine except my Bluetooth won't turn on at all. I go to the settings, wireless and networks, and try to turn on Bluetooth but it doesn't work.
So ever since I updated to Lollipop in March (I'm with MTS) my Bluetooth audio with my pioneer double din stereo in my truck only works for about it a minute and a half then the signal seems to go weak and it gets really choppy and skips really bad. If I pause the song and wait 30 seconds itll sound fine again but only for about another minute and a half. Bluetooth audio works fine with my little Bluetooth speaker.
I recently bought an unlocked 950 and a Microsoft Band 2. Both were working fine for 2 days but now my phone will not connect to the band. In fact it will not connect to any Bluetooth device.
Like the title, my bluetooth has stopped working, it doesn't connect with other phones. It's verizon, but I have it on Revol right now.. Revol is a local Cleveland company.. any advice? cuz that's the only way I can get ringtones and pictures and stuff..
Bluetooth hasn't worked from the day i got my BB a year ago, I followed KB05409 and done everything it said but still hasn't worked...... Tempted to throw it at a wall.
My bluetooth was working fine in the beginning, but now I'm unable to start the bluetooth and/or pair it to any devices.I setup from the bluetooth menu the bluetooth on, visible and name it but, when I click "save" button nothing happens. When I re-enter the menu all the settings are gone, and the bluetooth has never started.
I just downloaded today/yesterday the latest maemo update and was hoping this would fix the problem but the problem still exists.
I have a blackberry 9900 and I bought it just a few months ago. Recently I have been trying to connect it with other Bluetooth devices but my device doesn't shows up in the ' search device ' list. I have turned on the discoverable setting.
I was using my Bluetooth in the morning and all was working fine, but later in the day it wouldn't connect or detect. I have a bold 9900 and although I turn on my Bluetooth the blue led light doesn't flash. It says my Bluetooth is on but I don't think its working at all.
