My wireless connections(wifi, bluetooth, wifi hot spot) are not working , when i try to turn any of them on nothing happens and its not turned on
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the last several weeks neither the WiFi nor the Bluetooth will turn on. When selecting to turn on WiFi is starts to turn on then stops and displays Error. About 75% of the time after attempting to turn on the WiFi the phone will reboot. I have factory reset the phone and the WiFi and Bluetooth will work once after the reset but once the phone sleeps neither WiFi nor Bluetooth will operate. This is even after a power down. I have checked my settings and can't find anything that would cause this.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBluetooth does not work. Under settings the bluetooth indicator says "off." When I click on bluetooth though, it goes to the bluetooth page with the wheel automatically spinning without prompting me to turn it on or off. It does not say searching for any devices, however the wheel at the top beside bluetooth still spins. Both bluetooth headsets I have used before with the iphone work with all other phones in the house. This problem started about a week ago and I have had my phone for almost a year, never had this problem before. I have tried a hard reset, restoring to factory settings, reseting all settings, switching to airplane mode, but nothing seems to work as it still does the same thing. I am running iOS 5.1.

After the update this weekend, my 'desktop' shortcut to WIFI and BLUETOOTH have died. This scheme was set up through OS 5.0. Apple removed this scheme to configure this, so how do I put it back? (The update also killed my alarm clock and stand alone-battery charging too, but both of these I can live without...)

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone connects to my car with a USB/jack connector cable - the type that came with the car. Is there a way to have the iPhone (4S) automatically enable Bluetooth ONLY when I'm in the car and I hook up the phone, and to have it automatically disable Bluetooth when I disconnect and leave the car? The idea is that I will ONLY ever need/want Bluetooth active when in the car.
Similarly, is it possible to have the iPhone disable wifi when I'm away from my home wifi environment and enable it again when back home? I'm specifically looking for a solution that is automatic and that requires NO human intervention each time.
A friend gave me an old iPhone 3g running iOS 4.2.1. It has a broken wifi chip an apparent flaw in this model of phone. Are there anyways to have it get network access without using the cellular data network or wifi bands?
